Its hard to express exactly what this song makes me feel... but there is a feeling inside every time I listen that I want to hold on to.
Extreme sorrow and longing, yet...immense joy and comfort. Somehow. I can't put my finger on it, but it almost feels nostalgic to me.
This song released right when my daughter was born. I needed this then. I remember bouncing her to sleep to this song so many days. So soothing yet impactful as I had also evolved.

It's the feeling of when you have 3 weeks left of summer break in high school and you have a summer romance with someone from a different school or someone who's leaving for a different college. When you're happier then you've ever been before, but you know in 3 weeks it's all over

Their fist album was better. It was a game changer and this album is similar in stylistic interpretation of life. look at the lyric. The natives play off life best and not concept of it, leaving the feeling or interpretation to the listener.

I lived in England for a few month and I had to cancel my stay due to Corona. On my flight back home, I listened to this song over and over again and it always reminds me of all the experiences I made during my stay there. Kind of melancholic and beautiful at the same time.

That's subjective. To you they're not. To me and others they are one of the greats.
I don't think it is subjective at all. They are a good band, I love them... But talent wise, they aren't anything magnificent, it just comes down to their compositions. I think what George is saying, or I hope so, is that all of the great bands comprise of both talents; they write great lyrics, and they challenge the status quo instrumentally. Local natives does not do the latter, their riffs are super basic and easy to learn. Bands like many of the oldies (I will go there) Rolling Stones, Def Leopard, Led Zeppelin, Beatles OBVY etc., and more recent ones, Radiohead, Phish (even though I hate them), Lotus, Umphree's, Red Hot Chilli Peppers.. I could really go on and on, do all of those things. This band really doesn't even touch the top 30 IMO as far as it goes as "greatest bands". But I love listening to them, and it shouldn't matter what you rank them personally.

I'm so agree with you on that one because i'm a really really really huge fan of Nina Persson and The Cardigans and it's because of Nina Persson i found this AWESOME song and i really really love everything that Nina Persson has done since she started with music in the early 90's because everything she does and every song she makes is always REALLY REALLY BEAUTIFUL because she's the most TALENTED singer songwriter in the world EVER and she has done it really really great in her very very very successful music career because she's absolutely AMAZING and that's the reason why i really really love her.
