- Revolutions Remixed is a fan edit combining elements of "The Matrix Revolutions", "The Animatrix" animated shorts, and the "Enter the Matrix" video game. The goal is to create a 2 hour film which is a tribute to the original work while presenting something completely new.
I removed the scene where Lock "greets" the crew of the Hammer by accosting them because it didn't fit with the rhythm of edit, to show him going back and forth between locations in rapid succession. Also it gives the viewer the impression that he is sliding increasingly into hopelessness and desperation. Having a brief change in character would relieve the tension for the audience, and increases the uncertainty of the final outcome.

I love Neo's confidence, dude just walks up to the leader of the machines in the machine city thats been at war against humanity for centuries and is like "listen dude, this is how its gonna go down".

I would say war more like cutting grass/ humans that have grown past an acceptable threshold and needed to be cut down to start again.
@@bearjuncture but the humans never grew past an acceptable threshold, and the new start is objectively worse than before, plus, when both sides are fighting each other actively, its considered war.
The machine allowed the humans to live for a certain amount of time in Zion before eradicating them over and over it’s an endless cycle. The war angle is what the people in Zion believe they are fighting but-to tell the truth the machines are just waiting for the next one to show up to start the cycle again.

I always liked the outburst from the Deus ex at Neo's offer. The leader of the machines having emotion while Neo is cold and blunt, a reversal of spirits. Plus the deus ex refers to itself as "we", I'd like to think that all those thousands of nano bugs that make up its face contains the "souls" of the robots who still remember their abuse at the hands of humanity during the second renaissance.
that would actually be pretty cool. in the anime it seemed the new, centralized insect AI sent the older, independent humanoid models off to die in the first waves at the end of the war, eliminating any possible opposition to its rule and leaving only the insectoid race.
But, if the actual AI to those older machines had been uploaded off the old hardware and it was just husks wearing down the human armies, saving the "souls" as you say, pretty cool.

@CharlesAbramson-hh6wk Not necessarily. It's hard to tell if programs are working together in a democracy or if they're just drones. Remember that Smith was a part of the system but disobeyed and became "free".
The Matrix is the only franchise where an I.T guy ends a war and brings world peace.

The way Deus Ex Machina expresses a lot of emotions, I think it may had been human before engineered itself to a machine. Zero-One was founded not only by Machines but cyborgs as well. Back in Second Renaissance, humans persecuted not only Machines but people who became cyborg because of disabilities. Deus Ex Machina, Oracle, Seraph, Merovigian, Persephone shows emotions which is atypical of machines and programs. Maybe they were human once before turning their bodies into machine hardware. Since they are all superior compared to sentinels and other machines, it looks like most of the rulers of Zero-One are former humans who became machines. I guess this helps me understand why they detest humanity so much. I mean they probably feel betrayed by humanity and suffered a lot during Second Renaissance. The Matrix is just one of the many sources of Machines' energies. The real purpose is to find excuse for humans to live.

I always have the same doubt, why Big Baby, being like the last entity in the chain in command is so rude and irrational in its way of thinking while there's mindware like The Architect which is absolutely cool, rational and suave with a subzero error percentage. Big Baby looks like an authoritarian hive mind, some kind of ultimate democracy for the machines in Zero One, but for the machines, like the squids and not the programs, whom live on a totally different set of rules.
I think the big bay just hate humans, and hate the idea of a smug face human coming to his city , close to his people posing as hero

the big baby is indeed a hivemind, it's all the machines speaking as one, and reaching a consensus that they hate humans. all of the machines combined hatred and mistrust for humanity outgrows their reason, and it finds personification in this form.

@@mikemm5920 Deus Ex Machina, God from the Machine. It's a greek term. In theatrical representations, when the story got too long or boring, "god" would fix things magically to end things quickly. The actor playing as god was usually put on a simple "machine" situated in a higher part of the scenary.

At this point smith has become something even machines can't handle because they were connected to the same matrix that was corrupted by smith, so when smith imprinted himself on neo, machines were able to destroy neo along with all the smiths. The sad thing is neo once made a choice to save trinity instead of humanity but at last he had to do what the oracle and the architect planned in the prophecy. In the new part it seems like machines has kept trinity alive as a programme so there's hope at last, i don't care about humanity in this series, they did too many bad things to be left alive.

Why does Neo have powers outside of the matrix?
I think it’s because neo and all the other humans from the matrix have something like a wireless antenna. Since neo is the one or whatever his antenna is activated allowing him to have perceived powers. His power is only over technology. Like the sentinels and being able to see coding. It’s technology not magic.

Architect said if Neo chooses to return the source and reset the matrix would eleminate Smith. This ofcourse was not told directly rather referred to as "cataclysmic system crash killing everyone in the matrix". Now the question is why deus ex machina didn't simply send Neo to the source possessing the unique code and reset the Matrix right away upon jacking him in? Feels like the fight was a waste of time.
because he wouldnt of gotten a truce. neo didnt want to restart the matrix without setting any terms of his own. either smith wouldve killed of the machines and humans alike, or neo helps the machines in return for a truce.

This is of course epic and great, but how exactly would the Smiths be able to “infiltrate” and kill millions of machines in the real world?
Smith has assimilated all the programs and plugged in humans in the matrix. Just like how humans such as Tank can communicate from the outside with those plugged into the matrix, it should be possible for a program to use those same links to jump from the matrix to the real world. Assuming the people in pods are located in the machine city, that means Smith should be able to use their connections to the matrix to infect the machines themselves and take over the city.

@@gianluigiterracciano5333 if all of the machines were tied into one collective consciousness, then the sentinels would not have had to stop to receive the message that Neo had entered the Matrix (the sentinels would have known at the same as Baby Face, and no message would have needed to be sent). Also, Baby Face says "we" because it was speaking for the machines as a group (a group that despises Neo), and not as one, singular consciousness. That's my interpretation.
@@TheM1trix I dont think this is right because the sentinels (unlike the robots in the city) were not sentient beings and only non living machines used to do jobs that the robots did not want to do. This is why they didn't stop instantly, and when neo convinced the mainframe that he would help them, the robots stopped the sentinals so they wouldn't destroy zion.
Lucky the machines are honourable, they could have easily ended Zion and had neo stop Smith. He would have no way of knowing

so glad i saw the trilogy when it came out in high school, this blew my mind and is when the series really ended for men. rare to see good writing and story like this now a days. usually, it's that woke trash that just tries to build upon the success of the past while at the same time destroying it for no reason.
