David Cameron is totally correct, and was right to return ro the government as foreign secretary.
Thousands of Russian and Ukrainian people who all have different talents, dying for one lunatic. All these people who probably haven't done anything wrong.. Its sad that these young Russian men who didn't even know they were going to fight Ukraine, are dying for a mad man behind his desk. We should give our condolences to all human loss in this unnecessary conflict.
Some of the richest counties in America surround Washington DC. The Military Industrial Complex in Washington DC will try and keep this war going forever.

Someone should explain to American journalists that the UK Prime Minister is addressed simply as "Prime Minister" rather "Mr. Prime Minister". Similarly, "Mr. Secretary" is not used as a form of address in the UK. A British journalist would simply address Lord Cameron as "Foreign Secretary".

Brexit was a great gift to putin
The UK was not the first in everything. I'm proud that in end 2023/begin 2024 Denmark (6 million citizens) and the Netherlands (18 million citizens) will provide together 61x F16 Jets; 14x Leopard II tanks and 100x Leopard I tanks. We spend 1% (DK) and 0.5% (NL) of our GDP for military assistance to Ukraine, that is double the amount of GDP the USA provides 0.3%. The EU provides on financial assistance 1.2x as much as the USA provides on military and financial assistance together and I'm not counting the refugees. Note that the European countries together already provide more military assistance than the USA.
How many times does it have to be said, and how many people have to say it? Supporting Ukraine is the vastly cheaper option, both financially and in terms of lives. If Putin wins in Ukraine he will definitely move on to the Baltic states. The West showing fickle support will also give Emperor Xi the green light to invade Taiwan.
You have no evidence for those ridiculous comments. All this is doing is wrecking the economies of Europe on behalf of a foreign power. And Joe Biden? A senile crook who may soon be impeached.

It is indeed really important to support Ukraine. It is also important for the UK to have a foreign secretary that has been elected and is accountable to Parliament. I’m a Brit, and I find the deference American interviewers show to our politicians’ titles pretty nauseating. Our journalists call them by name, eg “Mr Sunak” or “Lord Cameron”.
If David Cameron thinks it is so important, he can as well go there and fight in the trenches. Ukrainian men of his age are fighting.

It was the Prime Minister’s decision. He became Foreign Secretary and the previous Foreign Secretary has chosen to replace the Home Secretary who was recently fired. Yes, there aren’t many people left for high office in the Conservative Party. The Conservatives have been in power for 13 years and will almost certainly be beaten by Labour in the next election. David Cameron is also from the House of Lord which is a separate chamber to where the relevant politicians are.
In the past four years alone, the Conservatives have given the UK three prime ministers, four Home Secretaries, five chancellors and three foreign secretaries. So we will almost certainly have a Labour government after next years election and it is predicted that Labour will win a Landslide victory as the Conservatives have been so bad. Even though the leader of the Labour Party who is expected to become our next prime minister isn’t very popular.

America's inward-looking foreign policy has often been costly in the longer term. If the US had joined the Allies in Sept 1939, how many millions of Jewish, Roma, and other European lives and the lives of US and Allied troops and UK blitzed civilians would have been saved? Japan might well have decided the costs of entering WWII would be too high. Lord Cameron is right. What he is too polite to say is that too many GOP leaders don't know their history.

i worked and paid off my student loan debt. perhaps others should do the same. or dont take out 60k a year in debt and go to that other school for cheaper that is offering a better scholarship. just saying.
