My dad was Triple Combat Infantryman Badge recipient WWII, Korea & Viet Nam, one of only 230 men to receive it three times. He is in the infantry hall of fame. He received a bronze star and two Purple Hearts. He lived in constant physical pain and emotional PTSD pain, for the rest of his life. My dad was Triple Combat Infantryman Badge recipient WWII, Korea & Viet Nam, one of only 230 men to receive it three times. He is in the infantry hall of fame.
He received a bronze star and two Purple Hearts. He lived in constant physical pain and emotional PTSD pain, for the rest of his life.

I never wanted to be in the armed forces; I never wanted to fight in a war. Luckily for me, my particular generation of UK citizens never had to. Which is exactly the reason why I would never, ever insult any of those men and women of courage who have fought for their countries by calling them 'suckers' for risking their lives and 'losers' if they gave their lives up. Trump is not simply a coward, he is also completely self-centred, and incapable of believing that anybody might not be as self-serving as he is. And yet he is aiming to be Commander-in-Chief: what will he do with that Command if he gets it? Terrifying.
