I would love to see a guide on angle control. I always hear that "hula hoop" trick but when I watch pros I rarely see a difference in their posture for hyzers or anhyzers. Thanks for doing these!
Literally coming here now and the stake in the disc is literally so helpful gonna take this drill and hopefully improve because been 7 years since I played
This was SO good!!! Thank you! Especially loved hearing Paul’s “pump” explained. I have noticed this form but didn’t understand the why / how behind it. Keep these videos coming!
Thanks! Started playing last fall w/ my brother. Since the ppl I play with were doing the xstep I jumped into into it since it got me a good 50 ft more to my throw. But after watching this video I gotta go back and work on my timing! 🙏 I love that you break every motion. I think it will help a lot of new players and more experienced players to identify bad habits they might have developed.
A forehand technique guide for beginners including grip would be much much appreciated. Loved the backhand throwing guide - really great content. Thanks!
The tips for the actual timing of the throw are excellent. Most videos refer to timing but don’t actually tell you what it means or how to get “good timing”.
This is awesome. I struggle a lot with the backhand, finding the forehand to be my go-to, but watching this video and the previous one has helped me visualize what I need to do. Just hoping my body can figure it out as well! Thanks!
Great video. I knew my footwork was off and that was killing my consistency. Thank you for being descriptive about why and how each thing matters. I am very glad I am subscribed to this channel and recommend it to everyone.
Okay this was great! I just watched your room first backhand tutorial video for like the third time. It's so good, but this one is better. I have no idea how I missed it until now. I've been playing for about 6 months, and I've been really struggling with my drives. I'm still throwing standstill, and I realized that my starting position has been too static, which I think is causing me to pull with my arm rather than with my hips. The last video really helped me to loosen up my throws, and I think this one's going to help a lot too! Thanks. 👍
Love it keep them coming! These are helping me better understand the mechanics of disc golf! Great break down! Maybe forehand throwing would be awesome for the next video! Keep up the awesome work guy! #foundationNation
I've been discing since HS. In 25 now. But I really just started to really get into it this year and am playing every week and just started to break my form down. When I first started to try and correct my form I was bracing on my toes. I very much reccomend not doing this as sometimes my toes would stick to the pad and I'd have a lot of unnecessary torque on my knee.
Realy good content! This and the earlier video of the standstil throw made me realise a crucial thing in my own form. I had almost no hip rotation what so ever, and the move you showed with the hand reaching for the pocket was realy helpful to engage the hips. Great stuff and I like how you implement a bit of biomechanics and where the power actualy comes from. That part is not explained very well in other technique videos.
I really found this breakdown helpful. I have a question for any who can help. I am having problems adding the mini X-step portion to the throw. From the stand still, my feet hit a consistent spot, but when I do the mini x-step, my feet get rotated in a sligntly different way and my lead foot is not consistently placed in the same spot causing some wild overthrows. Any tips on fixing that?
"If at any point you feel like you're doing it too fast to where you're like... and flying off the tee and out of the frame, you're doing it wrong, okay." ... James Conrad wants to have a word with you! Hahaha. (For beginners, James is the exception to the rule, not the rule.)
How important is it to use a similarly rated disc for putting practice? If I’m throwing 10 discs, should I try to not have them be 10 different putters, or doesn’t it matter inside of 30 feet?
I think it’s pretty important for feel and confidence on the course. Would be better to putt with 4 or 5 of the same mold than 10 different ones. You don’t want to be on the course with a focus and think “man if I would have brought my Luna I would have hit that”
Cant wait to get my new impact's in the mail!!! Now stop playing around with these RUclips videos and get Trevor back to work So Everyone that ordered on black Friday can get our stuff faster! Just kidding love you guys
Nice video and explanation. I would suggest that you actually throw the disc in your tutorials so we can see the full motion. I have been watching a lot as just getting started and no one seems to ever throw the disc. I am sure it a pain as then someone has to retrieve but it would be worth it
It depends on whether you’re trying to stain hardwood or something softer. If you’re staining say, Yellow Pine, you shouldn’t need as much stain, and therefore will end up with less stain on your knees most likely. Hope that helps!
Can you do a “how to spin a disc on your finger like a nonchalant boss” tutorial video??
More of this, please! Not new to the sport and this was still helpful to watch
My thoughts exactly

This is the best tutorial I have watched on x-step. And your best tutorial yet. Keep them coming!

Excellent video, combined with the first video, most helpful backhand form videos I've seen
Great stuff. Just started doing the x step after standstill for 6 months.

Man, these videos are fantastic!!

I had tried the reach back and foot, but your explanation of the foot placement on the step up was key for me!
Without a doubt these are some of the best tutorial videos on RUclips! Hope to see some forehand videos in the future from you guys.
Appreciate it!
Lovely video, great breakdown, professional and still easy to understand

Great breakdown. Thank you for posting!
These are great, I wish I had these when I started, now I need to go back and relearn. you explained and broke down the steps very clearly. thank you
Great video! So helpful can’t wait for more

Wish I had found this game 20 years ago!!!

Been trying to figure out this for a while thanks for the vid!

Been playing for years and this was helpful
I’m sure it’s coming but forehand guide please and forehand run up
Hunter this is a very good breakdown. Good job. I first learned about the x step from Nate Sexton, this was very thorough. 👍
Can anyone tell me what disc he is using? That is a thing of beauty!!
Very helpful to watch!👌🏻

great video. thanks
Do you feel your back foot doing something or is it like walking, and it’s doing what it needs to naturally
At which step should I have my disc in the " stake" position from which then I walk/ throw through it?
Awesome video, what adjustments do you make when the surface of the tee pad is less grippy?
Slow everything down
Good stuff! How about one on how to get good distance?
If you combine this with the previous video on backhand basics, your distance should show some real increase!
this was helpful, thanks!

do you look forward in the xstep
Very good thanks

@@FoundationDG Thank you!
Can you do forehand tutorials
Very nice, practice time
Please do a turnover backhand video, flex shot backhand, forehand
what about james conrad going forward?
Why not having the upper body form in the same video?
Cant wait to get my new impact's in the mail!!! Now stop playing around with these RUclips videos and get Trevor back to work So Everyone that ordered on black Friday can get our stuff faster! Just kidding love you guys
What is Supreme Flight? If I get an answer I will like and subscribe.
It is a lifestyle disc golf brand that we purchased at the beginning of the year and plan to use as our off the course apparel line!
@@FoundationDG Thanks. I really like these and other videos that you guys have done they help a LOT!

Hi
The angle of the camera on the feet makes it a bit confusing when trying to put it all together as it's not the same angle as the body camera.
First again
That seems like a lot of strain on the knees

@@jessewilliams43 lolol
Lol i thought this was a joke 🤣
Can’t see your legs!!!
That’s a lot of talking without throwing the disc.
