The trouble with the elimination test is that some SUV's perform better at different tasks. I wonder how the BMW would perform on the slalom test for example. It may not have the biggest ultimate luggage space but it may be the more dynamic road car. I think points based tests are better than elimination tests as different people have different priorities..
Have to agree with many that you should test all the cars in all categories with a score for each rather than eliminating potentially the best car because the boot is a little smaller.
Like practically every PHEV, they are only running green on battery if they are charged from the mains. The big question is will the users of these vehicles ever charge them?
@oaciftci both supercharged and turbo charged....!! Fine. Get one but don't expect a long life engine 40k to 60k and the engine is burnt out just like every highly stressed engine anywhere in the world. Personally I would get a Kia EV9 and that will have a better warranty, it will last 300,000 miles and cost less. But I do understand the Volvo is good looking.
In practicality I would include cost of ownership. Reliability lately is a big issues with Audi having insane problems and Volvo the same. I know it is hard for a brand new car, but maybe take into consideration the previous models for a benchmark?
Anytime I watch this guy he allways unfairly prioritize BMW. Honestly from those suvs the BMW is biggest crap based on my experience. BMW produce very very unreliable cars apart of Dacia, Dacia is even worse.
A plug-in hybrid car? No thanks, I plug in my laptop. I'll never buy a car like you showed in your video, I don't like the principle, it's a waste of time. I don't understand people who always say... oh, I don't have time, and then they buy electric cars. I can understand a non plug-in hybrid car, of course I can, but nothing else. Thanks for the video, 4 cars to put in my black list.
So, first Vicki informs us that she likes them "thick and chunky" which is very interesting. After which she goes on about how "brilliantly built" Aud's are? Has she ever actually owned an older Audi? I have owned them all except for the R8 and they are the biggest piles of junk Germany has ever made period!
Video from 1 day ago…so where is the X5 50e? 🤔 Stupid elimination test, instand drop-off best real world SUVs! Points based tests would been far better choice.
Are you guys actually back... or are you just wasting our time again? I've never seen a channel have so many relaunches. P.S. I do hope your back for good this time.
They are heavy on fuel cause more damage to roads a fact by the transport industry, due to their massive weight, science has shown SUV’s have increased CO2 by plus 30% in the last few years, and all you see is one person in most of them, a waste of world resources.
It appears there is no end in sight for the ever swelling Chelsea Tractor. Why not make Quark & Namaste walk to boarding school so you have more time at the nail bar. Stupid cars for stupid people. Give me a Lada Niva any day over these..

Exactly. That should be the first test.
Good point, but I suspect Porsche would be better than the BMW at the last test

For that kind of money it's the X5 , hands down.
I'd rather have a proper car rather than these wasteful things
You mean your another selfish moaner that doesn’t care about their passengers
I do and end up borrowing the wife's suv all the time for life related things
X5 all day every day 😅
Like practically every PHEV, they are only running green on battery if they are charged from the mains. The big question is will the users of these vehicles ever charge them?
Yes.
I think the best two dynamic SUV’s got eliminated in the first two tests -not entirely sure your methodology gave you the best overall vehicle🤔
Run the tests in a different order...different result. Great fun though.
I was out on the £70,000+ for a 2.0Ltr regardless to its boot space.
But it is both supercharged and turbocharged. I am considering one nowadays.

Surely the gle should be in the mix
Suv's make me sad 😮
Was that the newly refreshed Cayenne? There were a lot of changes made to the e-hybrid model. It looked like the old one based on the gauge cluster.
They should have swapped !!! Audi vs Volvo
I am surprised the GLE plug-in hybrid is missing from this test. Why is that @fifthgear?
Omg I haven't seen fith gear for like 15 years Vicky looks the same! In the other hand sorry my man he looks like a pensioner.
No one would ever actually use that luggage cover in reality. 😅
Two large suitcases in the boot is hopeless. How is that enough luggage space for a family of 4/5 especially if you have older kids?
Oh … if only they’d kept making the 4.2 Cayenne Diesel S! The best Cayenne ever built.
In practicality I would include cost of ownership. Reliability lately is a big issues with Audi having insane problems and Volvo the same. I know it is hard for a brand new car, but maybe take into consideration the previous models for a benchmark?
The least boring wins.
What do they do 30 miles if that electric alone, and then no better on fuel than a diesel car, or suv . Its a 5ax con for business drivers.
Braking can recharge the battery. And the fuel will be more effective used.
VBH is just dreamy 😍
These knockout reviews are a total waste of time… results purely based on the order of the tests…
Need the Jag SVR in the mix, the only SUV that makes sense to buy.

3:18 what is she takling about here?
Is it the car or something else? 😅
As for the shorts Jason... just say no😮.

SUV = AutObese
Pure EV would be better.
Net zero, blah, blah, blah
Where's the Range Rover?
someone has pinched it
No-one can insure them anymore.
not this price range
A sign of the eco-loon age. The car that’s best to drive goes out first!
Shouldnt the X7 be in this instead of the X5 ?
No, the X7 isn’t available as a Plug In Hybrid. Plus the X7 is the rival to the Mercedes GLS and the Range Rover.
Video from 1 day ago…so where is the X5 50e? 🤔

In Jeremy Clarkson terms “ Just get yourself a Range Rover “
If you can drive it out the forecourt without it breaking down...
