I think those holes are really called half tone. Screen Print rip software should have a half tone setting or you can get half tone brushes for most applications.

      No it's called rasterizing

    • @paul-cx2fo
      @paul-cx2fo Год назад +2

@@dapittg no, they’re called halftones. The rip software out puts halftones with raster images. You have to add halftones manually in a vector file. With raster images gradients and fades are converted to halftones automatically in the rip software. You adjust how coarse/big you want them to be inside of the software program.

I got the 650. There are a lot of people in different groups that be talking out the size of their neck. Some swear up and down that WT prints are not durable and feel crappy. Some dont like rasterization.
Different papers have different feels and you cant always follow the instructions on a paper. I dont rasterize and mine feel good. I can use fabric softer and dry on HIGH heat MANY MANY times and not have an issue. Some say that 1 or 2 washes and its cracking like crazy. They just dont know what they are doing. TEST TEST TEST and you will be shocked at what you may discover

White toner printing isn't sustainable for doing large numbers of shirts. I used a icolor 560 for a year and now its collecting dust. I switched over to screenprinted transfers that someone else makes for me and the difference is night and day. I press for 10 seconds and its done. No A B paper. No marrying. No pulling issues. No toner to deal with. No printing problems. No paper feel( and full color prints do feel like paper) no rasterizing. Just 10 seconds and its done. Screenprinted transfers are vibrant and the feel like an actual screen print. If I've got a large order I can order my transfers, receive them in the mail and have them all pressed before you would be finish with white toner prints. And the amount of time I spent on them is a fraction of the time you will spend with white toner. And they will look and fell like they were screenprinted. For a business white toner is not sustainable if you plan on growing. For personal use and doing a few shirts here and there than maybe but for a business buy a heat press and have your transfers screen. Theres no TEST TEST TEST! ITS JUST PRESS PRESS PRESS! And I'm not talking out the side of my neck. These are facts because I've done it.

I mean me personally I have the icolor 560 and I used it alot and due to the fact you have to knock out colors to get it to feel good or rasterize the the picture is just not good imo, ended up getting a dtf printer and the difference is night and day not only with feel but with washability...I will never understand why someone would pick a white toner printer over a dtf printer...the only reason I even still have that white toner printer is because it does cups and even still when you mess around with the brightness and saturation it's just playing hell the whole time to get it right and I end up wasting money half the time to get the color right...not to mention the toner and transfer paper is godly expensive. Plan on getting a uv dtf printer soon and I'll honestly just throw away the white toner printer and not bother selling it just to save someone else the headache...anyone who has a white toner printer and says they love it is either lying so they feel better about not wasting their money or they never seen a dtf printer in person.

if your starting a business a ehite toner printer is the best investment. 1 sublimation is something you wont be using often because may of the t shirts you find for sublimation are not good quality. 2 you can also get a cutter like a roland but you will need to outline with white a lot of the images unless you want to weed out little details. 3 dtf needs a lot of attention like printing everyday. And if your starting off yea its better quality. But no one tells you most dtf are expensive they tell you a price but you end up paying way more and the shipping and if you invest in a matching and you dont have a consecutive clientele you run the risk of your printer head clogging and repair is expensive. Dtg thats another high maintenance. White toner is perfect because you dont have to use it everyday and you dont have to feel limited to what you can do. 20 shirt order done get the shirts if next week you dont have order leave it come back and is ready to go again. And as you build up and your orders get heavier then think about dtf

Now I can't do dark colors with sublimation. No one really likes the printable vinyl. On top of that I have orders for all large images with lots of colors. I am posting this to several peeps to see what are your thoughts on something that bothers me.
I wish that companies would change their business models so that they would attract and keep customers loyal. For example. I understand that I am the only person in the world that has a full time job and is trying to make this garment industry my full time gig. I wish to add an embroidery machine into my arsenal but... I have to purchase a multi thousand dollar machine then and only then, will I have access to the training videos. Between my full time job, client projects and family life, I don't wish to have a $10 - $20+ grand paper weight sitting in my garage while i watch the training videos during breaks, lunch time or when I have some free personal time so I can finally be able to actually use the machine in a competent manner 3 - 12 months later.
I would rather pay a $200 - $300 dollars to have unlimited access to all the training videos for any multi thousand dollar machine that I wish to purchase so I can watch and learn at my own time. That way, when I am actually ready to buy those expensive machines, I will be ahead of the learning curve when I finally receive the unit and hit the ground running in my offerings to current and future clients.. If the manufacturers would allow the pre-paid monies for one to watch the training videos turn into a "Down Payment" or a "Lay-A-Way" type payment towards the unit, that would be even better.
The above scenario would let me know that the companies that make or just sell the machines actually want me to succeed and do well. Not only that, It would actually make me more loyal to their brand knowing that they have my back. What are your thoughts on this topic. Would you have wished to be able to have access to all the training videos prior to your purchases of your equipment so you could have hit the ground running?

good info on the techniques...people need to know this about white toner....but what paper are you using..I know they make papers with stretch capabilities but are you using that or basic paper because the main issue white toner has is cracking "period" vs DTF when stretched or right after the first few washes....how are you combatting this issue cause you know its there, lmk bro...I know half tones and knock out help with that but how much does it help and what has been your experiance with it

Basic paper doesn't work. I use Forever Laser Dark Low Temp. Halftones are the best thing that can be done to lighten the weird crinkly paper feel. but some customers want a solid emblem and don't allow you to do halftoning. that's where this type of printing feel will lose to something like a DTF printer. I have been running white toner for 4 years now. I am a crossroads with DTF now...I may end up spending $30k on a whole new system. IT's VERY ANNOYING to have to buy a whole new system just to get a more rubbery feel. UGH.

It DOES crack even on the first wash or with just a little bit of stretch, even after following ALL of their instructions (using t-seal paper to finish it, don't wash same day you print, wash inside out, no fabric softner etc..). Easy way to know this is do a video printing it and streching it a little, you will see how it will crack every single time. If someone made it work for them great.. what I say to this person is, make a video showing your technique and putting it to the test. Also, if the humidity of the room the machine is in is not super high, like over 60, the print will come with smears/dots/marks etc.. If you are printing white or black, the edges will always have a line around the edges of a different color. Hope this helps someone who is trying to decide to buy it or not, the choice is yours but at least you will see the opinion of someone who uses it a lot.

the problem is people spend 7 to 8 grand and start selling shirts before the truly learn the machine and the process and getting the right software.

I’m finding it hard to rasterize in photoshop just using like an Hp. Is it recommended to just get a white toner printer that can print one pass. I try doing two passes and it just doesn’t line up

    • @SupremeODMG

If using ghost unfortunately it never lines up.

    • @Icolorprintingsolutions

Yes it's difficult to line up the prints for two pass printing. For this reason a genuine White Toner Printer that prints both the color and white layers in one pass is highly recommended!

Sounds like you need to swap the cartridge in the printer. You may have it on products vs apparel. I just watched a video about this.

This icolor 560 was such a mistake. The sad thing is, I haven't finished paying for it. Every time you touch it, there's something wrong. I wouldn't recommend this %^&ing crap. THe latest is prorip shows the job printed but the printer is not responding. It used to be aborted issues where I had to go to manage queues to fix. I effing hate the printer I really want to do something bad to the manufacturers so they feel my pain.

Just turn off the automatic rasterization feature in color adjust (enable ink removal).

White toner printer owners are in such denial that it’s such a great printer. Doesn’t matter how much rasterization you it still feels like crappy quality. Plus, you didn’t mention how terrible the wash ability is. I get you’re being paid to promote this product but please don’t lie to people is all we ask from you.
