Knew you'd love this one, Biz! You totally get it. AC/DC was all about the grind in those early years and they weren't gonna wait around, not with a fast right hand and a rocknroll band. "If you got the money we got the sound, you put it up and we'll put it down". Up there with IT'S A LONG WAY TO THE TOP and DOWN PAYMENT BLUES.

Down Payment Blues just slaps. But my favorite is Gimme a Bullet. Actually all of Powerage.
There's something about the early AC/DC material and their sound that they never recaptured once Bon was gone. His lyrics meant something. And Bon had a presence and personality and voice that couldn't be replaced.
And he had some great humour in those lyrics too.

One of the best blues licks AC/DC did was at the end of Down Payment Blues. I just wish that piece went for minutes longer. Its so damn good. Powerage is their best album imo.

I was around 9 years old when ACDC came on the scene here in Australia, and for the first time I heard them I was addicted. So, I was very lucky to grow with them and watch them become megastars. I have all of their 13 albums, and they are without a doubt, my all-time favorite band. I Just love to watch their WOW ! reaction and the instant smile and nodding of the head to the beat of their music, that these people on these reaction channels experience. It is testament to their incredible raw talent, and showmanship.

Just popping in to say 🙋♀️!! Yeah, this was a great review (of course!! It always is when it's Biz!!🤗) At the same time this one "got" me somehow. I made a conscious choice and promise to myself years ago that I will be a "glass half full" kind of person no matter what. And when I heard him say "people who are humble/fake humble" are people who are afraid to take chances" etc, etc.....it kinda broke my heart a bit. He's CLEARLY never met a TRULY humble person and that's sad to me (I really hope he does some day!!). A humble person is NOT ok with being broke or down on their luck.... a humble person is simply sincerely grateful for anything they do have (however much or little) and knows it's real value and MOST importantly knows what really matters in life (NOT money) and lives with peace and love in their heart.... this "poor me" mentality that society has over not having freaking $2000 handbags or not having money to go get t&a implants or fancy/$100,000 cars etc cuz it's what all the celebs and so-called rich people have is complete bs to me.
PRIME example of money meaning NOTHING.... my father was and still is loaded. He was a prick, selfish and his love and money was CONDITIONAL when I was growing up. (my parents were divorced)..... while he lived high of the hog in his fancy freaking house with his MANY vehicles (all suped-up) and traveled the world with his wife (my EVIL step-mother) and my step-sister..... my brother and I had NOTHING.... NOT even winter coats some winters cuz he wouldn't pay child-support and then he had the nerve to refuse to bring my brother and I to family functions, his business awards ceremonies or even his companies outings and holiday parties because my brother and I didn't have "proper" (meaning designer clothing etc.)..... I learned very young the value or LACK of value of money!! My mother had nothing and raised us on her own.... some weeks or months we ate PB&J for lunch and dinner every damn day!! But you know what.... I chose to stay with her in poverty because the alternative of living with my father was fake/superficial and meaningless as hell. When the day comes that my father passes.... I don't want a damn penny of his money!! There.... I said my peace!! lol!!

If you did it wouldn't go very far. Now days to be pretty secure probably need at least 2 million to retire on. I wouldn't know though I came up well short of the million.

I look at "being a millionaire" as having a million bucks or more that you could liquidate, without selling your primary residence...
