I love this man. In shorts he delivers a masterclass. Simplicity, humility, enormous technique, enormous talent from one of the best "guitar" of our time. Beloved Pepe, of our heart.
The riding a bike analogy will stay with me for life. It solved my right hand issues instantly and it's the weirdest feeling but it really feels like riding a bike. Pepe is a genius! Thank you!!
When Pepe takes a pencil and draws on paper the fine mechanics of this technique is it PURE GOLD. Listen to his old recordings of Requerdos de la Alhambra if you have any doubt he is one of the greatest tremolo players in history. Amazing control and eveness.
Pepe sir , you are the best ! Thank you for sharing this wonderful valuable and abundant technique on RUclips . May you reap to a 100 year old with good health !
Thank's very very Mr pépé. I very like your video.
Thank you so much for sharing these videos with the world - they've been an extraordinary help to me and doubtless to many others. Pepe Romero is my favorite classical + flamenco guitarist by far. He's incredible, and you (Andrey) are clearly a very talented player yourself. Never stop playing. By the way, I love the harmony accidentally created at 1:16 haha. Someone should write a Recuerdos duet.
the beauty in what Pepe is sharing - and really always shares with us his students(past and present) is that this is what he is thinking himself - its like when he teaches you he is teaching himself again and again and again - rewriting - recoding the activity for his own benefit - and of course for ours if we apply it. No one can have the gifts of his experiences with his dad and Celin, and the flamenco but he is freely giving us all a window into that life.
I feel better as I've struggled with the same technical issues in the past, so it's comforting to know we all go thru that. Its been described, and just relaxing after the stroke, so the finger bounces back, but I like how Peps puts it: mind/ no mind, or conscious,/unconscious, as if the finger has a brain. He's famous for great analogies that help do much.
Amazing lesson on tremolo and no mind. I am reminded of the book Zen in Art of Archery by Eugene Herrigel where he speaks how you reach the ultimate expertise by NO MIND
What he's saying is after playing the string, the proximal ( middle knuckle lifts ) and in Conjunction with the tip joint flex returns to playing position, and does not stay in the hand while the other fingers play. The distal joints and slight flex, allows for a short orbit placing then finger in a neutral relaxed position, Ready to play again.
I get what you are saying I think it's more like the teacher is not only sharing and transferring his knowledge but also his experience and also some secret timings and you get to see things in real When you self teach You only get the knowledge in theory And via Internet it is not as precise Also our eyes doesn't get to use it's full capacity on a screen
best advice - get a great teacher to teach you the very sold fundamentals before getting stuck in your incorrect ways. all you master teachers out there - please make yourself available to us! PLEASE!!!!!!!
I wish I did not had to work for a living so I can dedicate my entire day to the guitar.

is about doing it right. if you play guitar every day brings a new challenge, if you do not do your nails, is going to sound terrible, etc.
“Like a pedal in a bicycle”. Even that, by itself, is immensely useful.
A true master and a HUGE privilege to have lessons by him.
“You have to learn to do nothing” - this class is Zen of Classical Guitar!
This is the best master class for tremelo I have ever seen.Thank you sir...
I'm a flamenco player and this tutorial is also applicable for the flamenco tremolo which is p-i-a-m-i, p-i-a-m-i etc. Great stuff.
The riding a bike analogy will stay with me for life. It solved my right hand issues instantly and it's the weirdest feeling but it really feels like riding a bike. Pepe is a genius! Thank you!!
I see the difference when a master teaches. Thanks a lot.
When Pepe takes a pencil and draws on paper the fine mechanics of this technique is it PURE GOLD. Listen to his old recordings of Requerdos de la Alhambra if you have any doubt he is one of the greatest tremolo players in history. Amazing control and eveness.

Astoundingly deep understanding of technique and what a wonderful way to communicate ideas to one's student.
Great video. I'd be so nervous playing under him.

Amazing lesson on tremolo and no mind. I am reminded of the book Zen in Art of Archery by Eugene Herrigel where he speaks how you reach the ultimate expertise by NO MIND
Pepe's Recuerdos at the end credits of The Sopranos got me started on classical guitar.
This is great wisdom and teaching. It's a PERFECT balance between relaxation and exertion.
Beatiful! Awesome!!!
Andre, thank you friend
does romeros tocaron esta pieza hace mucho tiempo, melodia mayor,y unas notas abajo
oi en estacion en chicago,WFMT, nunca despues
To Wolfey, in case you're still wondering, the piece is "Recuerdos de la Alhambra" by Francisco Tárrega
Una clase con él debe ser increíble
fantastica tecnica del tremolo...!"
Thanks Andrei for the tape
This is one of the best tremolos I have heard (Andy's). Not sure how/why it needs to be improved, but yes, this is a good lesson.
there i got my private lesson.
thank you
thanks for sharing!
Practice slow to become fast. Accuracy builds speed.
this is gold
Thanks u
WOW! you can not find these tips nowhere neither on the internet nor on masterclasses!
At 13:30, excellent camera angle.

tremolo is very tough one to crack… even when you feel it's going well then you get tired and goes pear shaped
How lucky that you learned from one of the best.
