@@darisonjean3251 maybe... But bboys need that recognition... Same as Redbull, I love what they do for our culture but they have a monopoly of our culture now, where we always see the same bboys taking part.
Mace's power is great, but did he do anything new too? I have seen all those things done by others, and it's not easy. It's awesome, but it's best framed with dancing and originality. If this was a power battle, the judgment makes sense, but it's supposed to be breaking. I know they didn't win because of power but because of establishment. The lesser known guy on Gravity's team stuck to hard power, what a lot of up-and-comers tend to do to get established. Bowzee is also lesser known on Ives team but took the OG "bboy" (old meaning) route and is reprimanded for not kissing the ring of establishment before going his own way (though the culture back in the day was the opposite). The new way of breaking is simplified and formalized, which is why the more typical and repetitive stuff gets voted in by the judges over the approach that birthed breaking in the first place. :)
i agree, rock force is better individually. but crews with the token powerhead + balanced bboy usually gets the advantage😅 im not too mad about this. i loved the cheerito snd funt duo

@@nonamer29 Vicious by Nature didn't hesitate and went first, sparing us the staring contest that's become commonplace. That shows confidence in my opinion. Mace had a better first round than Ives. His power was clean and tight, footwork kept pace with the music and he didn't have to alter his speed to hit the embellishments of the song. Great display of timing. Ives spent too much time toprocking . Looked lost out there, strutting back and forth trying to get the supporting cast hype. Didn't really respond to Mace's round, he avoided that conversation. Ives just looked off...his execution was good; but it looked like he was adjusting his flow just so he can hit the beat, that sh-t didn't feel organic. Great energy from Gravity as usual. Definitely the hardest working bboy on the floor. Unfortunately his pace didn't match the beat, which is a real shame because you got a NYC bboy dancing to a NYC Legend in Nas. Very clean round. The confidence at the end didn't match the finish. It's hard to look tough after a back handspring stepout. Bowzee's first round was better than Gravity's. He stayed in his element, his tops looked natural. He responded to Gravity: 1) matched his transitions, 2) held his freezes longer, 3) matched his dynamics, 4) Grav did a move of the shoulder, Bowzee did a move off the shoulder...and he was better with the beat. Second Round...no tops needed, immediate dynamic response from Mace. Classic display of mill-variations. Short, sweet, and clean. Ives comes back with a quick response as well, but it's too gimmicky. It didn't match the energy from Bowzee to Mace. Ives moves on to display some power, but it's not as clean as it needs to be. His legs are bent too much, and his foot scrapes the ground twice. Ives has better power than this. I could keep going with the details, but basically this is how I saw it... @@3rdCoastAlliance I want to start by sincerely saying that I appreciate your breakdown. Looking over it a few times I could see where Ives in his first set may have been looking to do a routine with Bowzee, which may have been the reason he stayed toprocking longer. I also look at it as response to Mace not doing much dancing & connecting with the music. Mace is super clean with his power, but that is the majority of his sets. As a casual viewer, that is visually amazing, but as a fan of the dance, that makes wonder what else do you possess as a BBoy/BGirl. Gravity is nice with what he does, but I feel like he's really a gymnast that happens to mix in some dancing. His energy is crazy, but I've seen where he comes off as too fast for the rhythm he's trying to dance to. I agree that going first could show some degree of confidence, but with the way Rock Force handle the agressiveness, I felt that it negated whatever Vicious by Nature was throwing at them. This only just my opinion on from a fan persective. You truly sound like you dance or have judged battles before, so with that being said I respect your view on it.
Who was the judges they got robbed mace and gravity have barely any musicality just a bunch of power moves it’s impressive but everyone knows musicality comes first
Dj switched the beat right in the middle of round……??? Nah that ain’t it
Was there in person, the whole crowd all looked bewildered too bruh
Yea that was wack. Look like he did it a lot.
Worst possibly thing is when your in the middle of a set and the dj changes the music. Straight up tempo kill.
i literally paused the video to find this comment. If this was my round I would have stopped dancing. Where's the awareness

Uh huh. Changed it up on Bowzee
Ahaha.....dj lol 😆
Rock Force won that by a mile. But, sometimes life’s not fair. You can always see the confidence of Rock Force. Such a solid crew.
Rock Force was dripping with originality but VBN executed cleanliness and effortless style with Power
Going with rockforce. They had more elements and showed more than just power moves. Check out prior rounds. Rockforce be killing it through out.
Nahh bruh fuck all that breaking is changing nd u hate it lol 😂 mace smoked both of them cats alone
Agreed. Mace's powermoves are among the best, but he didn't rep much else.
I thought Rock Force won. Did I miss something here? Can someone let me know what I'm missing?

EASYYYY AND CLEARRRRR BOTH DOPE!!!!
That dude Mace is nasty. Good battle for all.
Dayum! They rockinit!
Hot Battle 💥👌
This was a robbery the right Cru didn't win. Have to ask was it a fix? Ives and his partner had more musicality and entertained the crowd more
Grav and Mace took that pretty convincingly. I don't know what you were watching.
The only thing questionable was the DJ.

Gravity and Mace for sure! Wonderful duo!
For a powerhead, Mace has some smooth moves, he's great.
Rockforce!
Ives is such a battle beast
Rock force got robbed yo ....like come ooooon!
One of the best battles I’ve seen in a long time.
That decision sheesh yikes!!!!!!!
