Sorry to hear about the battle with Covid-19. Glad to hear you and your family pulled through. Sad news on John Paul Leon and Jesse Hamm (I benefited so much on his insight). I love those TomBow pens! Big fan of the Soft tip! Thank you for the video/channel update
Thanks, Marvin. Some of us in the fam had it worse than others, but none had breathing issues nor had to go to the hospital. Health trouble triggered by Covid was even more difficult, but I'm on a good path now! I've always been a brush guy, and loved my Hunt 102 nib, but that Tombow does it for me for sketching and on my forthcoming project, alongside the Pentel brush pen, of course! JPL & Jesse were TOPS! New guest episode next week...!
Glad you and your family are doing well and you have some cool projects going. The Instagram page is a wonderful resource and place to chat and learn Toth. I appreciate exchanging words with you on the page as well. I spent a short time at Mcad, and took a class from Barbara Schulz. Great teacher and mentor If you ever do a set of viewer panel breakdowns, It would be great to cover the "Creepy Presents" or "Bravo for adventure" of His underrated Black Canary run.
Thanx for the kind words, Tim. Always good to chat here or on insta with you. More on the cool project soon! Oh - you were at MCAD! Yep, Barb is great, known her since the B&W indy comics explosion back in the day - Barb is THE reason I'm teaching at MCAD, it took 7 years of cajoling til I said yes, and it paid off for us both :D
I'd love you to dedicate an episode (or more, to Toth's staging/blocking of panels but even more to how he framed/cropped the images. I have the impression that it has become a lost skill with many comic book artists today.
Good idea, already on the list. Cropping with Toth is KEY to me, and with that, along with his staging, blocking and composition it's all about storytelling.
I love Alex Toth art's!😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Same!
I was just thinking the other day about this channel, glad to see you're back
Thanx much!
This channel is so helpful thank you for your work
Very kind, thanks.

JP was a legend and it was actually this show that was my first exposure to his work so I’m extremely grateful! He will surely be missed!
I'm pleased to hear the show introduced you to JP's work. He's sorely missed.

I'm glad the videos are coming back. They are very well made!
Thanks for the kind words. Guest episode next week, then one on character design 2 weeks after that.
Yay! The show is back!!
Glad to hear you are back and healthy! Always take care of yourself first!
@@JeremiahDerby Yep, it's back! Indeed I had to take care of myself, but am in a much better spot now, thanks!
