"Orchid medicine cabinet" in a very appropriate name for that section of OFE's. I go in and out of being really into my hoya, I have a couple that are taking their sweet time to produce new growth. I'm glad you got to enjoy yourself and bring us along on a Saturday.
Hey Erin. Don’t give up on the Hoyas. I went through the same. It is now that I’m actually blooming them successfully. I realize they love to be fed.

Thank you for your posting the video. I always enjoy your channel, since I can see so many kinds of orchids without going out. I used to have some orchids, although most of them are now ruined. Orchids are very cranky, tough, and beautiful. I enjoy growing them.
Yes orchids can be very picky about their location and how you care for them. That’s what makes them so intriguing. The rewards of proper care are priceless. 🤗

Jamaica has their share of great plant and orchid fairs. 🤗 I’ve seen some really nice fairs in Orchid Doc channel in Jamaica.

I had been in a bunch of orchids shows in central, south Florida and this one is the ugliest one. I went the Saturday and I noticed very little variety of plants, the vendors were distracted by their phones, some not even say hi, very few customers, 😢 I decided to go inside the nursery and I-was shocked with all the mess , looks like a orchids trash place. Was a mess, definitely the worst place that I have ever been. But I’m still love 💕 the orchids. Thanks Nell because of you I decided to make this trip and check all nurseries around. RF my favorite 😍 one.
It was a nice surprise to see you on a Saturday! Terri always makes me smile 🥰. Jaxson is adorable 🥹. It was great hanging out with everyone 💚😊💕.

I've been so sick this pass few weeks allergies along with alot of coughing ,but I can't stay away from blooms, and any flower at all it keeps me happy.

Such a great video! Loved seeing the Hoyas. Other than orchids I started getting Hoyas. I have 5 now that are doing great. I also grow indoors since I live in Michigan. Love the teapot from orchid 365! So far, keeping it green.

I can’t believe the difference in OFE’s this year. I’ll check out Krome Avenue. I’m down in the keys now, but I will come up there near Miami for some orchid pleasure. ❤ I love watching your videos and I like seeing your beautiful property. I would love to settle down someday and grow some of my own. Right now I’m just wandering around Florida, sight seeing, I’ve retired and decided to visit Florida before I move to Portugal!
Well Florida is a wonderful place to visit. We have so much nature here. Portugal sounds amazing for retirement.

We truly are. I count my blessings that we have these fair almost all year round. I find it mind blowing when some local people here will actually complain about the local fairs not being up to their standards. It’s so sad how some just cant appreciate things for what they are. Always LOVE watching your videos, Nelson. This morning I am watching while indoors cooling down for a few minutes before going to the lanai to work with my orchids. By the way, the flowering tree that you liked is elaeocarpus grandiflorus. It does flower several times a year. Would be a nice addition to your garden.
Sounds like a perfect day for you working in your orchids. I too have been working outside with my orchids, but I do have to take seldom breaks. This heat is unbearable.

I bought a miniture Vanda in Orchids show in Pasadena in Sept - not grown at all .
😢 I am lazy - just soak the roots in water bowl.
How you water your Vandas?
I actually just spray with my hoes in the garden. I try not to wet the leaves too much. I water enough to see the roots turn green.

I wonder how to repot orchids when potted in those beautiful pots.
Detroying roots or pot or repot as it is in a bigger pot?
Can you tell, how you do it?
Most of the time I wet the roots for a good 5 minutes. Once they are pliable, you can carefully pull the roots apart from the pot. If it’s way too many roots and they are glued to the pot from years of establishment, then what I do is simply pot it just like that in a bigger pot. The roots don’t really care if you remove it from the current pot into a new one, or leave the existing pot inside the new pot.

I love it! I got it on Amazon. White Brother P-Touch, PTD210, Easy-to-Use Label Maker. It does not come with the AcDc adapter. Sold separately. Also you will need to order the laminated clear tapes for the labels. And of course also order the tags. You can get it all on Amazon

I only know if one vendor at the fair that does ship. That would be Krull-Smith Orchids.
