That was one if the greatest performances ever! I mean, when have you ever heard James Brown with a full orchestra... Violins, cello ... Everything? It was a masterpiece performance. It really was. There was a series years ago called "Pavarotti and Friends", of which this was just one performance. Each concert took place in Pavarotti's home town of Milan, Italy. He sang with a lot of different people. This was by far the greatest one, imho. I'm just sad that neither of them is with us anymore.
These took place annually in Pavarotti s home town in Italy. All proceeds went to help feeding the underprivileged in Africa. It was an honor to be asked to sing with him. Many stars ran at the chance to do it.
When this hit my feed bout a yr ago I thought I'd b seeing a comedy parody which I'd enjoy. Omg it blew me away. That crowd was huge. They were in Italy btw...Pavarotti was fighting his cancer but lost. Yes sad loss of 2 of the greatest performers ever to grace our world. I love your reactions bc u feel what you hear and that's all music asks of us. 😊
