- I found this caboose online at TRAINZ.com for less than $14.00. I think it may actually be new but it was never going to be collectible with its original paint scheme. So I think it's OK for me to repaint it in preparation for custom decals that I'll make with my inkjet printer.
Nice looking caboose now that you did your magic touch it! 💯👍
Thanks Frank!
Great start to a SOO caboose. Nice beginning.
Oh yeah. It does kinda look like that.
I really like the 4 red jewel lights at all 4 corners nice paint job
I haven’t tried it in a dark room yet. I wonder if any of the interior light makes it to the red jewel lights?
Nice work Bob! Not too much different from a custom caboose I did about a month ago. One thing I did with mine was spray a clear dull coat on the windows to give them a "frosted" effect so the lack of interior detail isn't apparant. And those frosted windows look good lit up too!
Thanks for posting!
Thanks for watching and the tip about the windows. 👍🏻
I have repainted many cars. Mostly boxcars, but I took two postwar plain red cabooses and decorated them in Monon colors since
Lionel never made a caboose for the Monon. Good job on that one.
Thanks Richard 😀
Great work as always.
Thanks Paul.
Always amazed at how well your customer cars turn out. I’m searching for a Hi Cube Box Car now. Going up to Dixie Union Station Later today to see if Rocky has any. If not I guess I’ll buy one from Trainz. As always thanks for sharing!Chris, Cbtrainnut
@@Cbtrainnut thanks Chris!
One of my favorite style of caboose. I was thinking SOO as well even before reading the comments. I have a feeling you have other plans though.🤔
I do actually. 🤔
I'd like to see Lionel make separate sale of these cabooses again as Standard O Extended-vision cabooses. These days, they only offer them in starter sets.
Plenty of them used too though.
And its lighted? Thats a bonus! Ill have to check back to see what you did. The original blue roof plus the red made me think of bicentennial actually
Now that’s a cool thought. I always liked Lionel’s bicentennial stuff.
Looks like a Soo caboose Bob.
Is that good or bad?
@@bobsworkshop5181 good.
Excellent results Bob! I wonder why Lionel didn't make a 3 stooges train 😂😂. I'd run it.
@@joeystrains.9316 you totally could. I’ve seen your drawing of them above your layout. It’s really good.
@@bobsworkshop5181 Thank you, just need to find pictures of them and apply them to boxcars.
Great job, looks like it just came out of orange box. I thinking SOO line BILL
Thanks Bill.
Clean!
Thanks
I've reworked a few caboose. The bay window \club' cars are cheap too. Hmmmmm...maybe a CARS themed modern Disney theme???
That would be cool. Even a flat car with Lightning mcgueen.
W video! Your the goat 🐐
@@CPSPRODS thanks!
