She can't even answer right and she looks like a person with no plan at all to ride out a dangerous storm. People like her don't take hurricanes seriously, it'll be their own fault for not listening to government officials and I'm sure she's one of those people who hate the government and doesn't trust what they say. She also looks like a Trump supporter because you know how stupid those people are thinking that hurricanes are started by Dems with conspiracy theories that are so outrageous makes you want to facepalm on your desk.

If you plan to ride out. Please don’t call the first responders to come to help. You put them at risk. I will wish you be safe.
Respectfully, there's a part in the hurricane where they stop responding. They wait until it is safe to respond and then send search and rescue to the locations identified.
@@Matt-fl8uy I was wondering about that, thanks for clarifying

Madness.
I'm autistic and I'm terrified of being in foreign spaces with lots of people I don't know. Still I wouldn't try to "ride out the storm".
Camp in the woods? Sleep in a hammock in a friend's yard? Travel outside the evacuation zone without a plan? Absolutely, but staying is basically committing suicide and being too much of a coward to admit this to yourself. 🫤

Bridget, I'm going to say this one last time before Milton knocks your house down... GET YOURS, CHARLIE'S, IRMA'S, COLLEEN'S AND IAN'S ASSES OFF YOUR STREET BEFORE IT LOOKS LIKE SOMETHING RIGHT OFF TWISTERS!!
I really REALLY don't understand the reasoning in why people would decide to "ride it out" and stay when there's a Cat 5 hurricane with wind gusts of over 200 mph, wind speeds of 160 mph and surges of water at 10-15 barrelling towards you!! I just DON'T, its stupid!!
Americans are indoctrinated from birth into an ideology that places their highest value is that of possessions. They are more concerned that someone will steal their stuff, than they are about their own lives.
If you don't understand, then don't call us stupid and try to be your better self. Regardless of what you think about it, Charlie, Irma, Colleen and Ian are going to need your help tomorrow, after this is over. Just shut up and support us.

There are 2 types of people I saw on news:
1. Have a house build to stand a cat 5 hurricane and yet decided to evacuate.
2. Have a normal house or just a boat and yet decided to stay.
It’s not a hard decision.
2 minutes before that lady and her dogs drown.. She will have wished she would have left and stayed in the arena.. No help will come lady.. Remember that..
For some people, the purpose of their life turns out to be a warning to others. I hope she and her loved ones survive, and I hope no first responders are hurt trying to rescue them.
To not heed a warning is just reckless. I feel like stupidity is a choice. Her and her husband value things instead of their lives.
People like Bridgit cause stress for emergency responders by not evacuating. People that do this should not be given any emergency help or supplies because of this as they are a burden on emergency services and should be held responsible for their inactions.
They've announced that emergency responders will not be responding when the hurricane makes landfall. They'll send it after when it's safe enough for them.

This right here. Bridgette is the reason that you need to thank your first responders and the countless volunteers from FL and other states up and down the east coast. They will spend days or weeks with very little rest, away from their families, searching the water and debris for survivors and bodies. This is just selfish.
Her poor dogs
That lady said we dont leave cause we may not make it back to the island....wow
I hope she stays safe. I hope her home does withstand the inundation. I hope rescuers don’t have to risk their lives trying to rescue her.
These people that don’t evacuate are plain and simple FOOLS! These is NO excuse NOT to evacuate! Rescue will not help them, and rightly so
The average elevation of Sanibel Island is 3 feet.
Anyone intentionally "riding out" a 10+ foot surge from a cat 4 hurricane is straight up dain bramaged.
I hope she reconsiders or at least look for some higher ground.
Consistently refusing to leave time after time when you live in an area that regularly suffers major storms such as this isn't courage, it's habitual stupidity. It isn't too dissimilar to back in 1980, when there was an expectation that Mt. St. Helens in Washington was about to erupt. A lifelong resident of the area was interviewed by a few tv news crews (if I recall, his name was Harry Truman, though not to be confused with our 33rd president) who declared that he would stay there regardless of any eruption of any size. I think it goes without saying that said gentleman didn't survive the experience.
What makes me upset about this is that first responders will have to risk their lives to help these people if things go “south”. They only do this because they know that there will be an attempt to save them if it gets bad. They don’t think about that first responders’ child or wife husband etc. who will be left along if that person dies. They need to let these people sign wavers man.
As the mother of a first responder I’ll say that there is a point at which they stop going out, until the danger has lessened. People need to be aware of this and not expect help when the situation becomes too dangerous for everyone.
The first responders won’t be out until after the hurricane whatever happens to them during the hurricane they are on there own until after
I feel really sorry for her three dogs.
