After doing my headers this weekend, as soon as i saw thar drivers side header with that crazy 2nd tube loop, i was thinking oh boy. Time to pop a beer. The kit looks great but man my speed engineering headers popped right in.

That's my concern too. I have heard horror stories about Speed Engineering too. Any issues at all with yours?

I’m not a fan of the big upward loop myself but other than that they look good. I like the amount of O2 bungs for me to put widebands that’s one issue with my speed engineering one is I wish had more O2 bungs it only has 3, 2 for the regular oxygen sensors and the third is in a bad spot on the crossover tube under the trans and then the bung is aimed down at angle towards ground. I wish more headers would come with V band clamp setups. Mine are a pita to have to beat on and off with the slip fit. I think if flash ark handles that big loop on driver side and also fix the clearance issues (I had to clearance my speed engineering ones around the steering shaft a little too on mine) and use a vband clamp they would be perfect. Hopefully they take the tips and make their product even better.

Great review and install idk why but I've never had any luck with stainless and I prefer plastic cold airs

Yeah that's the drawback with most companies, they think 1 size fits all, when they need to think about having vehicle specific layouts, eg. exhaust headers for 1999-2007 Silverado with LS, Vortec 4300 , Duramax, Vortec 8100.

I don't like to see people fail. So I am hopeful that they can make some adjustments and end up with a set that fit nice. They have some great features, and the Y pipe is actually very good compared to most.

As far as Chinese headers go. There's a point where the Chinese headers are too much Chinese. In this case I think that's the case. Speed engineering headers fit way better in my opinion

Same, they sent me these to try. I think with some minor tweaks they'd be good. They offer headers and Y like this for 07-13, and the driver's side doesn't have the loop. I'm tempted to see if they'll send me a driver's side from an 07+ kit to see if that fixes the fitment issues.

@bluecollarhotrods9781 I went to the flashark website and it said these headers wouldn't fit an 06 sierra. I think their info might be off a lil.

@@LeKelsor Yeah, the weird tube that loops on the driver's side is a design flaw. And the tubes down by the collector on the passenger side need some work as well. The rest could be adjusted some.
Speed Engineering headers are hard to beat for the price, and they fit well. I've installed a half dozen sets over the years.
