Yeah I am so glad i remembered that moment (this is one of the benefits of journaling on the same day). I sometimes think:"If I got to read a past relative's journal, wouldn't it be interesting to know about the world? What people did they interact with or what did they observe?". Maybe it's weird to journal with a reader in mind, but I find it effective in finding cute little moments like that one ☺️
This is my first time coming across your channel and I am OBSESSED with your color palettes and ink variations! The small life moments are so beautiful. I feel like you would love the book "Gilead" by Marilynne Robinson
Hi Maike! I love the doodle with the little tigers. First, I didn't realize the tiger balm - and so I thought that the pain hurt more than just Muskelkater, and it was more like Muskeltiger 😂
Lovely entries! I think it's nice how you have a mix of writing and drawing... very cool. I seem to be in writing mode or doodle mode and not mixing them. Need to experiment a bit more! Thanks for sharing and how cute are the tigers massaging your arm - LOL! I wish that is actually what happens when you use tiger balm - haha!
The Notebook was my favorite read of this year too! Loved reading about the history of taking notes and the evolving of the commonplace book and notebook. Great book!
I am also a German living abroad (in Wales) and the food I miss most are dumplings (Klöße). Dumplings here in the UK taste very different and I just can't find the right version without importing. I bake my own bread so I don't miss Brötchen that much 😁 The dress looks very cute to me and not at all like a pj dress!
It's so interesting to me how certain foods stay local, as well. I mean if Germans like Klöße, you'd think that folks in the UK would like them too and would start making them as well... I must admit I've never been a Klöße fan 🫣 I think the closest to those kinds of foods I get is gnocci (and I'm not even sure one would consider them related). That's very cool that you're baking your own bread!
Hi! I love watching your videos. You’re so relaxing. Always a good place to come when I am stressed out. Thank you! I’m wondering, do you have any recommendations for sticker paper for printing on? Or even just things to look for when buying sticker paper? Cheers💕
Aw, your comment totally made my day! I'm glad that my videos are relaxing to you ☺️ So far, I've only printed on the sticker paper by onlinelabels.com. I've used their "Standard White", which has a texture similar to regular printer paper, which makes it a good choice if you're unsure if your printer can handle slicker (aka coated) papers. For brighter colors and often slightly crisper prints, you can try their "Weatherproof Matte", which feels a lot like vinyl. And if you want to play with transparency, their "Clear Matte" is fun. I also have a video on my channel that shows these different papers and how the same print looks on them. I hope this helps ☺️
Thank you for your kind words! I'm glad you're enjoying it ☺️ I wrote that with a fountain pen actually, inked with Callifolio's Anahuac. I have the Tombow marker in 947, but that is far less orange and a bit darker than the Anahuac. I am currently looking at some Ecoline and Winsor And Newton markers to see if I can find a marker shade that is more similiar to this ink. It's such a pleasant shade! Hope this helps ☺️
Thank you so much for joining Cat Collage Club! I hope you are enjoying the cats ☺️ I'd love to help you out with the washi tape. Could it be that you're referring to a different date? I don't think I show any January pages.
I ADORE the idea of capturing that moment of the young man with the Barbie 10:55. I have those moments sometimes too.

It was so fascinating! And such a unique perspective on human history and development.
@@MaikeOatleyit was! If this book doesn’t make you want to get your own notebook, I don’t know what will 😁.
I loved it too! Oddly fun to read for a non-fiction book
@ right? I expected it to be a bit “dry” (as we say in the Netherlands), but it was a good read from start to finish.
@@audreycatlady702 that's so true, I had always pegged non-fiction books as dry, but this book convinced me to give them a second chance.
Your illustrations are adorable! ❤
Thank you ☺️ I appreciate your kind words!
It’s a cute dress to me…
That makes at least two of us ☺️

I think it's just an everyday dress and it also looks oriental style to me? Definitely not a PJ!
Yay, glad i'm not alone in thinking it looks just like a nice dress ☺️

Love your channel!! Can I ask which marker you used to write “sore throat”? The color is gorgeous. Thank you for sharing your journal with us.
