The fluidity and right hand technique of his playing is fantastic but one thing shred guitar lacks is emotion. If you listen to Wes Montgomery, BB King or even players such as Robert Johnson, every note tells a story. With shred its more about showing off technical ability which Ben definitely has.
I agree Whole heartedly with what you say! All he needs to do now learn to use the technique to make sounds that are pleasing to the ear and not: "Look at what I can do!" We can hear pretty much everything he can do in one video and it sounds boring, like an over long drum solo.
Don't feel like that. Everyone is different , which is cool. People would say that after seeing Tina S. play. Just be you , because that's the best thing ever!!

Bens really evolved as a player. He used to do alot Malmsteen runs he's now doing incredible legato and blues. Nice playing Ben much improved sounds as if you have found yourself !!!!

He has clearly developed some good hybrid picking technique and is getting tastier with his phrasing. He is really becoming a monster, I hope to hear some good shit from him in the future.

You should see how close he was to this level years ago, in Rob Chapman's old videos. I think I remember that Ben featured in a video about the Marshall MA amps-I know he was in a comparison of two Marshalls which was not filmed at Andertons.
Ive played a great fender mexican that can do van halen type of tone and ive have a ml1 mahogany body wood that doesn't cut it in that respect but will this one do it or should i go for the fender ?
+Ryan Harris yea so u can buy a floyd and just take the term arm out when u don't need it lol. ibanez guitars would be best for that, personally I would recommend the jem. very versatile, can do alot of tones.
+Ethan Bean yeah because that won't be ridiculously priced. If you want it done right it will add $300 to $400 of sunk cost. A guitar should be perfect out of the box.

Bens playing has matured a lot in the last couple of years. Great technique and seems like such a humble guy, hopefully a star for the future.
