- Hey guys it is the day!!!! the day I've been waiting for, for 2 months.. not 2 years like we thought but 2 months!! It is insane to say I got an accepted allocation and delivery all in the matter of 2 months. I'm still pinching myself.
Special Thanks to Porsche Marin for taking such great care of me and guiding me through the process. Especially to Hermine the sale associate! she was incredible since day one when she answered my phone call and answered all my questions. We all know I had a lot of them and being new to the whole process made it even more challenging LOL. Hermine was great I couldn't do it without her and her magic lol.

First off, I wanted to say thank you for sharing your experience with us. Many of us are curious or even looking to do the same and get lost in the nightmare stories of the allocation process online. Two months? Dude!?!? Back in May, I was able to get an allocation for September. I'm currently sitting at stage number 4 of 11 on the tracker. The delivery just slipped again to mid-November. Judging by the planned versus actual dates shared by my Porsche Salesperson, it's tracking about a month behind, which moves delivery out to the December timeframe. I'm suffering from a case of prolonged anxiety. The wait is killing me.
Until then... I guess I'll just live vicariously through you. So, slide over and let me drive. LOL!

Dude insane!!! they were on point with my down to the delivery date!! they said aug 18th back in June I was like ya right but man they were on point the entire time. Gotta admit I was more nervous when it was on a boat lol we all know what happened last time! come through bro lets go rip!! this thing is nuts. which spec did you go with??? maybe color and other adds are delaying the process?? I can't complain about anything it was perfect from day one. hope it clears up for you!!!

@realasscracka dude, incredible! Actually someone that commented on the channel just left there with a GT3.. that place is incredible. Lots of places make you feel like you need to shower after you leave and just dirty. But they treated me like family like I've known them forever! If ya go ask for Hermine, I really don't know anyone else there but she was super informative and not just telling you what you want to hear but was factual and realistic. If you go let her know I sent ya she gets a kick out of it lol ... let me know if ya got any other questions
I'm very happy for you Jeff! I also just purchased my dream car: a 992 GTS cabriolet in chalk, heavily optioned as well! I can TOTALLY related to the many simultaneous emotions. I drove over 1000 miles the first week and was practically weeping tears of joy during my first solo drive. Congrats and all the best!
No way!! I almost went with chalk too!! It was a toss up! Lol I was struggling not to take it out! I legit sat in the garage turned it on and just dreamed and appreciated where I was and that I own it lol.. had to get it PPFd before I took it out for real! Only drove her from the dealer home and home to the PPF shop lol... thinking of putting a progress video together.. it's been cool to see. Did you get yours PPFd? Huge congrats on yours too! I think people miss out on not having the cab it's a whole different experience
@@jeffcamara Hope you found a PPF shop that isn’t of the variety that cuts into your paint. I had that experience with a truck I had done in the past. It was a disaster. Something like 50-70% of these guys don’t have the skills not to apparently, which is a bit scary.
Agreed! I was very nervous on picking a shop. But all seems well!! I'll keep ya posted. I gotta bring it back Sat to finalize and bubbles or pealing back ..but its been a week and really only seen 2 small areas of peel back/lift

@dlj1285 ya I did full ppf along with window tint at 70% ceramic coating and the door sills .. gotta protect that carbon fiber lol. I optioned the the body painted engine sills too so I'm getting those covered this sat too since they had to measure it out and pre cut
Requested an allocation in January. Got it in May. Ordered in May. Due in on Nov 23rd. Your timeline seems out of the ordinary

I was waiting to not hear back from them for another year or 2!! never in a million years did I expect to hear from them 2 days later saying Porsche accepted my configuration and if I'd accept the build I put out or if I wanted to make any changes... it all happened so fast. They were great
@jeffcamara good on you. I think for the majority of us out there, this just seems unreal. Even the two month build process is BaT shit crazy. However it happened, congrats on your dream car.

Jeff, you can NOT go wrong with Porsche 911. It's a classic. It's a legend. It will, still look great for years to come even when you turn 65. It's a keeper for Next Generations. Lambo, McLaren, MBZ, Corvette, etc...they're just a cars, but not Porsche 911! Like you've said: Porsche 911 has soul. Men who know and appreciate speeds and performances MUST OWN Porsche, period.

I bought my first Porsche 718 Boxster 2.0 PDK automatic in Faro, Portugal in March 2024 and had it delivered on 22 April 2024. Still getting used to all the gadgets and configurations. Luckily they had the one that I wanted in the showroom. Convertible too!!! Wishing you many many happy safe years of driving. Well and truly earnt bro!!!

I got a GTS C4 convertible. Ordered in November and got it January 2023. Unwrapped it first then had to wait a week for them to wake it up and get it ready (sticker etc. ) Did you unwrap yours first? I love my car and drive it everywhere and everyday if I can. I wrestled with manual v automatic and came to the same conclusion as you. Nice to have manual but daily driver in traffic begs for automatic PDK. I’m excited to see how much fun you had picking it up. I was just as crazy excited . Enjoy the car.
Oh man, huge congrats on your gts C4!! Such a wild feeling when it actually happens! I'm loving every min of it! Even washing it, but I do wish I went with carbon ceramics.. just would have made things easier, haha.. I just brought it in for my first year service! Crazy how fast time is passing!

Congratulations with your very beautiful 911. When driving, sometimes look to the passenger seat, your dad is driving with you. A couple of years ago i went together with my father to go and buy my first 911, although its the previous model and i bought it second hand, this day will stay forever in my mind. That is why i will never sell this car, because now my parents don't live anymore. I am still glad that i could share this experience with them both.

Lol, nah, it's just the video! She's amazing, and we bonded from the start!! Guess it's so hard to come by when most sales reps aren't outgoing or friendly.. usually watch these videos and they barely say anything. She's really been great and is really kindhearted. She won't sugarcoat things and was straight from the start. Which I appreciated.

Congratulations, Jeff ! You'll feel the excitement of Delivery Day for months. Every time you get in the car to go somewhere. Porsche ads use to say
"Nothing even comes close" and they're right. Just a suggestion.....when you get the PPF, have installed front radiator grilles. They are very necessary
to protect the radiators from stones and debris. Porsche doesn't make them, yet, but they are available from Rennline, aftermarket. I had them installed three weeks ago, and they look great, also. Remember two important things : Be SAFE and Thank GOD everyday. Vincenzo

Congratulations Jeff, my stomach was so nervous and excited for you. I just recently went through the same process that you did. I live around the Milwaukee area and had to work hard to secure an allocation for a 2024 Macan GTS… my dealership found me one from their sister dealership in California. Your experience brought back all the emotions from the order being placed, locked in and then the excruciating wait as the ship chugged across the Atlantic at a snail’s pace. Thanks for sharing and hope you enjoy your new Porsche.

Congrats on the cab..absolutely beautiful. My friend had an allocation for a new Targa 4S two years out and he just got a call to say his allocation got moved forward to this November and he’s over the moon. Chandler, AZ Porsche are amazing ❤️.

Dude it's insane!!!! absolutely NO MARKUP this place was incredible ... They're only marking up GT cars which are GT3 and above. their cut off is GTS I think. but that was my fear. if that was the case I wouldn't be able to afford it. They were straight forward from the get go... absolutely no games!!! it was a breeze..

Man it was incredible! Brought my configuration 2 days later got an allocation and 2 months after that I'm in the showroom picking her up! An absolute dream experience!!! Porsche does a good job with the buildup too sending update photos and a live timeline and tracker. They even send ya small gifts in the mail that you're next expecting. Hope you experience the same bro! 🙏

Congrats. What a beauty. Same exterior colour I would choose. I took the 911 off my list with the availability issues, the demands of minimum 20-30k upgrades etc or they won’t sell you a car, etc…Then on top we have this Trudeau luxury tax to contend with here in Canada…2 year plus waits etc, it all started to look less appealing. Great car though for sure.

Met Hermine today while I picked up my 992 GT3. Mentioned I saw your GTS allocation video series which made her day :) Thanks for uploading these videos. I can attest that I went through a similar experience picking up my first Porsche. In fact Porsche Marin was the first dealer I called and today was my first time setting foot in a Porsche dealership ever.

Thanks! I called them with the intent to just put my name down for a GT3 or RS allocation. Turns out a 2022 992 GT3 just got sold back from an owner who literally bought the car and garaged it for 15 months. Car only 137 miles and was "CPO" so basically brand new with added 2yr warranty on top of the 4yr original manufacture warranty.
Relieved that I didn't have to wait 1-2yrs for an GT allocation but also happy that this puts me on the right path to getting an RS allocation potentially in 2025 if and when the 992.2 GT3 RS is released.
I think I'm more excited getting back into a manual car after a decade than it being a GT3 lol..
@Riceboy369 guy that is insane.. roughly 10miles from factory, maybe another couple miles from prep and then the miles from him driving it home and back to the dealership... that is wiilldd!! Talk about striking gold! Sounds like it all lined up for you! Does help that you've got an in with them already for the RS! What's the spec of the gt3?? Please put some miles and smiles on it brotha! Lol the guy that sold it must have some epic collection!

As some who waited for the allocation and waited for the build time and the delivery time, 2 months sounds sus. congradulations thou. nice car! I am still waiting for my car to be delivered.
You're not lying! I went in there ready to wait for a year or 2 after putting in my configuration. I was shocked when they called me up couple days later saying porsche accepted it. I was like, Are you sure you got the right guy?? lol. It's been wild .. but just shows not everyone's experience is gonna be the same. Looking it up on youtube all you see are the horror stories of the waiting game but no one was actually showing up and documenting the process. So I figured I'd show all the steps I took. Good or bad.

many years ago infiniti came out with a hardtop convertible g37 that was only sold through the Bloomingdale's purchasing catalog and infiniti only made 250 of a specific spec, it was platinum graphite paint, red Monaco leather interior, red woodgrain trim, real aluminum knobs/switches, A.C. and heated seats, luminescent speedometer, audio surround system on 19 inch chrome factory wheels, I had been looking for this exact (super rare) spec for years and finally a few months ago I found one for sale in pristine showroom condition, the old couple that sold it to us had it in their garage covered and was only used on the weekends, when I picked it up I was beyond excited I honestly still can't believe It's sitting in my garage right now, I've owned family cars all my life and always dreamed of owning a sporty convertible and finally I got it, it might not be a two hundred thousand dollar car but when my wife and i drive down the coast or anywhere for that matter i feel like a billion dollars 😂 I just wanted to share my excitement with you guys and I know exactly how Jeff was feeling here and it reminded me of that, anyways congrats Jeff beautiful car!!

Why don't people spec there 911's with a manual transmission? With the rarity of the manual in new cars it seems like a big mistake for long term depreciation. Nice car btw.
Dude I battled myself with this decision cause all of my cars have been manual.. brought up on em.. but I'm living in the city and this is my daily. Plus, nothing bangs gears faster than that PDK... my girl's driving it too and I figured saving myself from gear change arguments 🙃 🫠 lol
I'm not even worried about depreciation either cause I plan on driving this thing till the wheels fall off..and if they do I'd repair it and do it all over again lol

@@jeffcamara You have good reason to get the PDK but just note that my prediction is that after December 2024 that will be it, no more mechanical gas based manual gearbox in any new cars. (This will start in Europe then hit the US very soon; unless a new administration deregulates the forced adoption of electric cars.)

Lmao dude I get it! Nothing compares to the feel and connection you have with a manual and your car! Absolutely nothing could substitute.. i struggled with that decision but pdk for my situation outweighed the manual.. but at least it's not a hybrid lol.. pretty sure that's set for 2025.

It's the most comfortable car you'll fit into! I'm 6'4 with a larger build and there's plenty of head space and body room!! Way more than any R8, c8, amg gt etc.. saying that out of experience

@@jeffcamara my wife and i went over there in october to pick up her macan S. we drove it to Italy and zurich-no issues whatsoever, but i was nervous nelly the whole time LOL! totally understand, but to drive on the racetrack in leipzig and the off road course. 100% bucket list thing to do! we also did zuffenhousen for the museum. would love to see a vid of you and your charisma over there. btw, i say we did about 120mph on the auto b!

@@jeffcamarathanks man. Here in San Diego. Did Marin Porsche ask for dealer markup over MSRP? Both dealers here are hedging their bets and saying they might charge a markup. Quick question for you on options. In hindsight, any option you think is a must have and anything you think you could have lived without?
@Andy-wp9zs no def no markups! They only had a markup on gt3 and up! I'd fight that! There's no reason when now the market is starting to stabilize. Then they might try to sell you other packages too, so that will be a never-ending add-ons. I love everything I got, but the matrix lights don't fully function here in the states due to some dual light law. But I love the looks of them and they are brighter, and there are settings you can buy for them to function properly. I upgraded the radio, and the sound is incredible, but if that's not something that you're into, then keep with the bose cause it's still good too. I find myself lowering the music at times to hear the car, lol.. but the sound off these speakers is wild! 👌 let me know of an option you're questioning

I have 00000000 clientele history 🤣🤣 so the answer is yes! It's unheard of how fast i got my allocation. Usually, people wait a year or even 2 years, and I got mine in 2 days.. with zero zero zero clientele history hahah

Congratulations!! It is so great to see you get the car and I can just feel your emotions! I think I am still at least a year away from trying, but I need to drive out to Marin to check them out someday. I would love a GTS but my biggest question is the Centerlock wheels. I love them, but they are SO hard to get on and off. Plus if you are away from a dealer, you are stuck because most tire dealers can't get them off and on. Did you think about getting the normal bolt on wheels versus the Centerlocks? I love your energy and hopefully I will follow in your footsteps.

I don't think it's as hard as you'd think I guess the hardest part is the Torque ratio. But man I fell in love with these center locks and come on now we can say our car has center locks feeling like an F1 driver lol and its easier to clean! lol

Hermine she was great! NOPE no Markup they were true to their word and I think the only markups are on GT cars so that's the GT3 etc.. Incredible location and staff!

Hey brotha! Give her a call. I'm actually not sure of the requirements for the gt3 touring. But I do know someone reached out to me after seeing my video and met up with her and bought a gt3 right off the lot there, which was pretty dope, great spec too! I put down half and financed the rest.
