It’s my pleasure, and good luck🍀 It’s always very exciting on ordering your first allocation, and if you need any help on what options to get, we are always here to help!
That’s amazing! Congratulations! I can imagine the wait was definitely worth it! Do share the details of your new car here with us! Thanks for sharing!
Albert, you are correct about the c2 allocation being difficult to obtain. I tried back in 2021, joined the waitlist before Luxury Tax, waited 14 months and finally gave up. Fast forward 2.5 yrs and 2 weeks ago snagged the final c2 spot at PCNT. There were 10 people in the queue in front of me but they all decided at this point to wait for the 992.2 instead. Been enjoying your vlogs. Keep it up.
Appreciate your support, and thanks for sharing your experience! Congratulations on your C2 Allocation! I’m sure you’ll love it! IMHO 992.1 is a good choice, as I heard there 992.1 vs 992.2 would have a huge price jump, but both engines are similar, and most importantly 992.2 would be an all digital tachometer, which honestly isn’t the best look. Do keep us posted on your eta, and hopefully I’ll see you in a car meet soon!
Also in the GTA, put a deposit on a 992.2 recently and definitely got the drift I could get a 992.1 allocation immediately if I wanted. Lots of incentive for Macans and Cayennes too... the market is slow, I've heard brutally slow at the higher end.
Wow, what an information-packed video. Thank you so much for all of the tips. I just sent in a 992 GTS configuration to my local dealership last weekend. Client advisor reached out almost immediately; we had a few emails back and forth, and I’ll be going in this weekend to get some more information about the process.
It’s my absolute pleasure, always glad to help!! Wow that’s amazing, and congratulations! If you’re in US, do get make sure to get a signed bill of sale with the sales manager signature, and stating the exact out the door price. If you’re getting a new allocation, get the comm # written on the BOS. This is very crucial as it will prevent dealerships from adding additional fees after the fact, and since that comm # is yours, it will prevent them from selling your allocation to another customer, even if the new customers are willing to pay an ADM. Good luck and do keep us posted 🙌🏼
@@Albertandcars ok; I’ll make sure to ask for that. Hopefully there are actually still 992.1 GTS allocations available to begin with. I’ll let you know how it goes after this weekend.
@@Albertandcars thank you. I am on the East coast of the USA, by the way. Just so I can better understand this process, I believe this is the order things happen in (correct me if I am wrong): -submit configuration to local Porsche dealership. -make a deposit for the future allocation -be offered an allocation by Porsche dealership -accept allocation and revise/confirm final build . -Porsche dealership submits build. -Configuration is approved. -Final sale completed with BOS w/comm #. -Secure financing for remaining amount due through Porsche financial or other institution (not sure if you are allowed to make additional down payments to Porsche during the months-long build process or what the deadline is for securing financing). -Wait for delivery.
@@RB-xv4si yes that’s correct! 1 option that I would personally recommend is front axel lift, it’s only $3.5k, but it has great value and it’s a good option to have if you do decide to trade in back in the future. 1 last thing is to confirm the FINAL out the door price before locking in the allocation, and make sure there isn’t any weird additional cost added. Some dealers add the ADM after the car has arrived, so just to be weary of that. Other than that, good luck and do keep us posted! Super excited for you!
I hope you’re wrong on a few points. I have my allocation. Waited 2 years plus. Have the aero kit and yellow race deviated stitching. I am about 25 days from freeze point.
Congratulations on your allocation, and hopefully you get your car soon without any delays. I have the yellow deviated stitching, and honestly it’s the best color combination as there’s a slight contrast from the back leather but not too much, and it’s more prone to dirt and wear and tear VS a white color stitching. Do keep us posted on your incoming 911 and hopefully it comes sooner than expected!
Thanks for your comment! Wow that’s really amazing! I’ve seen a ruby star targa in person, and let me ensure you it looks gorgeous! Congratulations on your new incoming Porsche 911, and welcome to the Porsche family! If you have any questions at all, feel free to leave them here!
Great question! I don’t really see all manufacturers going to full EV that soon. Reason is infrastructure is still not close to capacity, and other reasons like reliability and resell values would really stall the change to EV cars. If you do go for EV, definitely lease it! Don’t buy it out right or finance it! I’ve seen a lot of people trying to trade their EV back in within 2-3 years, and the drop is value is astronomical!!
It's not 2021. 992.1 is coming to the end of the line. 911 allocations are easy to get. I connected with 2 dealers on east coast US (I through twitter, 1 through another youtuber). Both offered me Carrera T allos. You might need to pay a few k extra for a wrap, but no more than that. It's probably a lot easier than you think!
Very good to know, and congratulations on your Carrera T Allocation! Do keep us posted if you encounter and stop sales or delays, and I’m confident that you’ll love your new 911!
@@MW-gi1tr o wow that’s insane! Thanks for the info! Is the ADM which you mentioned for Base, S or GTS Targa? I guess allocations on the west coast is harder to get than the east coast?
Enjoy all your videos, thanks. Would you like to comment on the buffering noise when the top is off. Some people said it is quite unbearable. Like open only one back window when driving fast.
Appreciate the support! It’s funny as I was going to do a video on the targa with the top up and down. To keep it simple, with the top up, I do feel it’s relatively quiet. IMHO the Carrera T coupe has more wind noise than my car as there are less insulation. With the top down, there’s obviously a bit more wind noise, but it’s still not bad. If you’re cruising under 70km/h, there’s a latch above the sun-visor which you can pop up, and it would significantly reduce the wind noise. Hopefully that helps!
@@kakitling2191Prior to purchasing a 992.1 Targa 4 GTS, I rented a 992 Cabriolet S for a few days and drove it back to back with a 4 GTS. I actually found the wind noise both at low speed and at highway speeds (over 80 mph) to be better in the Targa! This goes against nearly every RUclips video review I could find on the Targa. Review videos only take you so far.
Who made you the Porsche expert? Your 2022 911 GTS Targa has devalued greatly despite the manual. The new 992.2 GTS is making a fundamental change in the drivetrain. Plus the Targa top adds too much weight and mechanical problems, which you have experienced already. Yellow dials and stitching is so ugly with gray seats.
Wow, what a terrible comment. Some people like the targa despite the weight. I like the contrasting stitching and the yellow dials. I like a splash of color in the interior. And some people would rather have a manual that is slower than the new hybrid GTS in PDK.
@@990v6 good question! A stop sale is when there are a shortage of parts, paint or anything like that, which would prevent a car from being produced. Right after Covid, there’s was a shortage of PDCC and also the fixed back wing, leading to a lot of stop sales or delays for upcoming production. Thanks for your question
