Great video, Joe. I believe this design was an intentional decision by Breitling to keep this watch as close to the original as possible. In that regard, I see a tremendous value for the purists who want to preserve and stay as close to the original as possible. To me personally, I would go with the Sinn as it gives me the style but made with more robust modern engineering. Not to mention, the Sinn is about a third of the price! Bottom line it is all about what you are looking for, desire, makes you happy, and are ultimately willing & able to pay. The above aside, looking good, brother. Looks like you lost some weight. Hope you and your family are all doing well. God bless.
I lost a lot of weight my friend. I had pneumonia for a month and was even hospitalized. The weight is slowly coming back and believe it or not, still have my cough. I agree with you on value but at the end of the day, Breitling was the originator and that’s why I couldn’t go Sinn. Call me a purist or loyalist or whatever that would characterize me as. 😂
@AvgJoeWatchReviews Oh, sorry to hear, brother. I'm glad you are doing better, and I hope you get 100% soon. Take good care. As for this watch, I agree that if your looking for the closest to the original and purest Breitling is the way to go. An absolutely amazing watch for sure. Take care and God bless my friend.
Breitling makes dive watches if you want to swim with your watch. The Navitimer's a pilot watch and always has been. This isn't a flaw, it's a design decision.
I am not much of a chronograph guy. But if I were, the Navitimer is such a recognisable classic. Still, it really does surprise me that the crystal moves and there is no quickset date.
Consider that the Navitimer is designed for pilots. If 30m water resistance is not enough you might have bigger problems. But I agree, would be nicer with 100m. Buy it on a leather strap instead of a bracelet, I tend to babysit watches on a bracelet from water a bit more...
I am waiting for the new Sinn 903 ST ii: 200m/ 20 ATM of water resistance and by and large a better quality for a third of the Breitling Navitimer price... No brainer
in the latest version of the 903 sinn even manages to offer a water resistance of 200 metres without an additional crown; so a company like breitling should be able to keep up with that, shouldn‘t it? however, the people at breitling don‘t care/do so because they don’t have to. the navitimer is arguably the most iconic chronograph next to the omega speedmaster, which is why people keep buying it due to its history and don‘t care too much about the specs (just like me).

Steve here... I have a 23322...love it wouldn’t change a thing. Planning on buying another Maybe a BO1.)
My Navi has never had an issue with water intake. I don’t swim with it but have no problem washing hands, dishes, and even rain. Love my Navi.
Worth mentioning that Breitling also used the ETA2892 in Navitimers such as the 50th Anniversary edition (A41322).

The latest Navi with B01 movement has a quick set date, and no doubt will from here on in. So the 2nd flaw has already been resolved.
Bro, thanks for pointing out these flaws. I am a big fan of Breitling and these issues are important.
Thanks for watching bro. Hope I taught you something new.

You know that I am not a watch guy. But I watch your vids because you make something interesting that I am not interested in. Keep up the good work.
I appreciate that buddy.

Ah just had to pick my favourite watch.

Yes it’s a big deal. For me I am a one watch guy. So this can’t be for me. Even tho I’m in love with the design : I rather go with sinn
I would go with the Sinn for a few reasons- water resistance, bracelet, and price.
Thanks for watching.
Yeah I’m going with the Sinn. The price alone is enough for me but 200m of water resistance is just the cherry on top of the cake.

Whatever convinces you and makes you feel happy not having the Navi 😅
