I live south of this yard, the owner of it took over the salvage yard from his dad in the late 60s. Most of them come in from his huge towing business, and he's never crushed anything. Almost 9,000 vehicles in that yard.

Shame I didnt see an eagle summit wagon or mitsubishi expo in that entire yard. Those are pretty hard to come by. Lots of 2nd gen escort parts though.
I do believe there is one or two I just didn’t show them cause the camera died

At 19:37 you walk past the front of a '67 Pontiac GTO. A very valuable car when restored. Would love to see more about it's condition.
At 44:20 you passed an International Cab over engine semi tractor. If the windshields are stillninnit and in good condition they are valuable. They aren't available any where new, not even Safelite.
There was another IH semi tractor at 1:03:28. It may have windshields also.
At 58:16 you passed a very rare Ford Edsel. A valuble car.

Cash for clunkers makes sense if you take in account some of the "newer" cars in the old yard like the tbirds and Tauruses. Those cars should have been maybe 5-10 years old, thrown in there with the rest of those era cars.
Yea that’s what a lot of people are saying is this place is a huge result of cash for clunkers!
@@KyushaChronicles That era was around 2009 I believe. Lots of those cars were probably there since 1989 lol, at least the super old ones. Interesting to see that very much newer accord you pointed out though. Sad to think every car in there was someone's pride and joy at some point and drove wonderfully.
All those old 60 and 70's cars would have been junked years before cash for clunkers.

your Exsploring but also stealing . things should never be taken if they dont belong to you or you dont have the right to do so.
Good thing I have the right to do so and pay the owner for any parts I end up grabbing ! Thanks for your concern!

Pulsar Sportbak is getting hella expensive nowadays. You might want to get that, because it could fetch you something like 20k.
Even the RX-3 Sport Wagon can get you nice money if you know how to straighten metal. Crash damage write-off means the engine works perfectly fine. You can't crash if you don't go fast. That's a 10k car right there.
Also the green car between trees is a 2nd generation Datsun Sports/Fairlady.
If that's the 2000 spec, that's an easy 30-40k$, because they've shot up in value A LOT. But if it is a 1500/1600 spec, it still costs 15-20k$.
That 1980 Subaru Hatch 4WD is the rare version with the round headlighs.
You could flip it for a quick buck. Just cut the fenders, get some fenders from something else or an universal widebody and sell it as a resto-mod.
You could get some nice 7k for it.
Just like the Hatch, the Wagon 4WD 1600 can get you a nice 7k as well. And it's in better condition too.
These Subaru Leone-based variations are climbing up in price. In a few years, they might climb up even more.
BRUH, DAMN. An AMC Gremlin. Those, when restored, sell for 30k+.
The car you have no idea what is it, is a Buick Special. And they fetch 30-40k all day.
Bruh. If i were to live in the US, i'd buy one car per month from that place.
It's not that hard to claim ownership of an abbandoned car, from what i've read online. You just gotta go to the DMV, check the abbandoned cars list or report one as abbandoned if you see it. Then just get a title for it through the little process they have.
Owner wouldn’t sell any car from this yard. And if he did it would be one hell of a job getting it out onto the road
@@KyushaChronicles Ughhh... Cringe. Hoarder dude. 🙄🤦🏻♂️
Any of them would be worth restoring, imo, especially considering how much they cost.
