- Discover Ethiopia, one of the most intriguing and unique countries in Africa and on the planet.
From the heart of the Horn of Africa emerges this nation of ancient tales, stunning landscapes, and unparalleled cultural diversity.
Delving into Ethiopia's history is to travel through times when powerful emperors and ancient traditions reigned. It is the land that saw the birth of humanity, in places like the Omo Valley.
Ethiopian geography offers everything from highlands to vast geological faults. With mountains and deserts, this country boasts a wide variety of climates and landscapes.
In Ethiopia, over 80 ethnic groups live, each with its own language, culture, and traditions. These ethnic groups, with their dances, music, and rituals, represent the wealth and diversity of the country's human heritage.
And, of course, we cannot forget the natural wealth contained within its parks and reserves. You'll find species of animals that inhabit Ethiopian territory exclusively.

Ethiopia is mentioned in the Bible 40 times, an important country in the Christian world. Greetings from Papua New Guinea (PNG). May God Bless Ethiopia always...A very beautiful country with beautiful people. 🇵🇬
You poor soul, you have no shred of knowledge about the fake nation called Ethiopia. Original name of Ethiopia is Abyssinia. Abyssinia is a name of two ethnics of Ethiopia. Which are tigrie and amara or are called HABESHA ሓበሻ or حابش .. Let me school you. The current Ethiopia is a fake nation when Italy invaded Abyssinia , the king fled to England and Abyssinia was under the colony of Italy for five years. In 1940 the king came back from England. His nation was free by the British and he went to the league of nation. He announces it his kingdom will be called Ethiopia.
Ethiopia means Greek land inhabited by Sun burnt people or Black people. Also, Ethiopia mean Africa. The land south of Egypt and east of Nile used to be called Ethiopia. Ethiopia is in Greek and Sudan is in Arabic and have the same meaning. Ethiopia of Bible got nothing to do with the current Ethiopia.

Look at these people, they are beautiful. And I learnt a lesson here, this country was never colonized because the people are strong enough. The unity under a strong leadership.
Don’t lie, it was a colony of Italy for 5 years and a colony of hand out for life. The new name was given to it in 1941 before that it was Abyssinia. They are not Solomonic dynasty, prove me wrong. They don’t have the arch of covenant it is all a sham.

A lot about Oromo is hampered in this video. It's always like that in Ethiopia. Either the video owner has no interest or his guides are anti-Oromo people from Addis Ababa or the North.
I am not surprised at all.
Ethiopia was the first country mentioned in the Bible, in the very first chapter of the book of Genesis.
Ethiopia is not only the cradle of civilisation, I firmly believe the garden of Eden is there.
By the way we have what we believed to be the burial site or tomb of Queen of Sheba in Nigeria.
I will always be proud of Ethiopia.
The Ethiopia in the bible was refered to north eastern countries of Africa. The etymology of the word Ethiopia which was derived from the Greek word Aethiopia was refered to countries like djibouti, Eritrean, Sudan Ethiopia and other countries.
The original name of Ethiopia was (Aksum) and in the latter Abyssinia which comprises of countries like Eritrea, Ethiopia, Yemen and southern part of Saudi Arabia.
Is just like present day country Ghana which adopted the name of the old Ghana empire though most of them migrated from the old empire...
Many are Jews and Israel brought them to Israel, Falashas, wrong spelling, sorry.
@@abw48 they're rather original Hebrews, the Jews were the later. The current Jews there now are of Eastern European descent ie of khazars of Russia and Ukrainans missed with the old byzantine, Greek, Persian and Assyrian invasions...
I guess it doesn’t backdate beyond 6000 years, as there are a lot civilisations that are older!
AMEN 🙏
Ethiopia, the first country mentioned in the Book of Genesis (the Bible). It also appears in the first page of Homer's Odyssey. Poseidon made frequent travels to Ethiopia and took extended leave there, which vexed the court of Olympus at a time when Odysseus was stranded in Calypso's island. To the chagrin of Athena, no solution could be had for the sailor's predicament until Poseidon returned from Ethiopia.
I truly loved this documentary. I've never been to Ethiopia, but Denver has a large and wonderful Ethiopian community. Several restaurants serving their wonderful food can be found--all of them quite good. Ethiopians are very forgiving when it comes to conflicts amongst them selves, but if and when an outsider trys to harm anyone they'll set aside their differences and unite for their countrymen. Just a bit of trivia:
“The Ethiopian Bible is the oldest and most complete bible on earth. Written in Ge'ez an ancient dead language of Ethiopia it's nearly 800 years older than the King James Version and contains over 100 books compared to 66 of the Protestant Bible.”
It’s actually false trivia. The full fact would be that it’s the oldest *most complete” as in the oldest Bible to contain both old and New Testaments. The actual oldest translation of the scriptures is the Greek Septuagint. The Septuagint is so much older it predates the New Testament. So obviously it is only the oldest translation of the Old Testament or Tanakh. The Ethiopian bible is from around 500 AD. The Septuagint is from around 1-3 BC. So it’s over 500 years older than the Ethiopian texts. Obviously this is necessary for the Ethiopian scriptures to contain the New Testament which did not exist at that time when the Septuagint was translated.
@@ghost-user559 Do not understand your need to call it false trivia, I believe everyone understood that I was referring to the complete bible. Both old and New Testament.
@@dayair1 It’s not your fault, its the wording of the individual you are quoting. I’ve seen people use that exact quote to try to prove the Bible originally came from Ethiopia and that the Ethiopians are the original Israelites. The quote is misleading, but that doesn’t mean it’s completely incorrect, just worded in an ambiguous way that allows misinterpretation for some people. It’s completely correct that it is older than the Kjv and the oldest translation with a New Testament included, but it’s still fairly recent compared to the Septuagint.
It is not dead language ,it is still used in the church in all part of the country . Geez is given in PHD level in international University as well.
@@VenomA-zm2hy No actually, the Ethiopian bible is basically brand new compared to the actual oldest bible lol! The oldest translation of the scriptures on earth is the Greek Septuagint. The Ethiopian bible is only the oldest with a New and Old Testament. And no, the scriptures say that that is completely false. If you read them you would know that.

Such first class commentary, each sentence spoken clearly at a pleasant pace to listen to gain comprehension of what is being said. Then followed by a period of silence for further contemplation and comprehension. So relaxing to watch and listen too.
Unlike so many commentators who speak far to quickly in a constant barrage of rapid words accompanied by rapidly changing imagery to render the viewer either totally confused and or missing most of what has been said and what is visually presented.
