Even if he did, the assumption that sentencing disparities exist ONLY because of black culture is asinine. Let me say that I don’t support a hatred towards or lack of respect for authority. But I think you need to understand that this attitude didn’t come out of thin air. Black people were treated HORRIBLY in this country by whites in general and authorities specifically for CENTURIES. So the attitude has been earned. Now I do think that black people in general need to take a step back to see how far we’ve come and understand that the past days of persecution and hanging are rare. But just to be clear, even as a positive minded individual I absolutely believe that we’re more likely to be treated unfairly. That’s just the facts. You think the grandchildren and great grandchildren of slave owners are just exempt from the beliefs of the people who raised them🤔? Listen, I get that not every son of a racist becomes a racist. You should get that not every son of a racist chooses to be different. There’s an in-between where MANY of our cops, judges and prosecutors are 100% against black people or at the very least, hold the disdain towards them that you do. Know why? Good job raising that child. That judge grounded him for the first time in his life
*I think there's other factors other than lack of discipline going on here* The sad thing is, is this is also highlights the reason for sentencing disparity or at least big part of it.
*When you have a culture that is more likely to have a hatred for state authority* and or a lack of respect for them, and a culture that paints a false world where everything and everyone is out to get you, that is inevitably going to reflected in your demeanor in court.
*Which inevitably, is going to result in higher sentences* which then only solidifies the culture that is causing it, it's a viscous cycle, that had understandable reasons for it to exist originally, but now those reasons don't exist, ye the culture remains, and the culture itself has become a self fulfilling prophecy of sorts.
Definitely not. He was probably grounded very frequently, he just doesn't care cause he's a narcissist or a sociopath.
Eh, I’d never take up for this obviously arrogant and remorseless dude but we have no idea how his parents were. They could’ve been a pos like him or they could’ve been very loving with discipline and he decided to defy them anyway. The chances are of course for the former but we don’t know regarding his specific case.
@@Light-lp8rn I think you’re absolutely generalizing while only addressing part of a problem and ignoring the rest. First of all we don’t even know if this dude lacked discipline growing up.
A huge part of the majority population in this country, white people as well as Latinos who identify with them, hate us. I can see that in your comment. You have a disdain for blacks as a general group, or else you wouldn’t make the ignorant assumptions that you make.
You said there are “understandable reasons for [this cycle]to exist originally, but now those reasons don't exist”. Are you aware that President John Tyler, who was a president before the Civil War, still has a living grandson? You think those ideals just disappeared overnight. Know why? Because RACISM is a vicious cycle that happens to be a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Welcome to America…the land of opportunity…and racists who think that black people should just get over the 400 years of a lack of opportunity and the slave mentality that was created with it.
