I just want to say I found this song by chance today after listening to some of my grandmas old favorite church hymns & I cannot stop listening. My family lost her to cancer 10/6/22. She practically raised me. I was pregnant at the time, & miscarried the following month. I never did allow myself to heal, the pain was too much and life doesn’t stop for anyone - so pushed forward. To the point where 2 years later I am just now finally allowing myself to grieve and heal. I lost my grandmother to Covid in 2021, and I still think about her every day. Every word of this song resonates with me, reminding me of her. She was religious, and we used to go to church on Sundays. I prayed to God while she was sick, hoping for her recovery. However, she passed away in just 4 days, and I couldn't say goodbye to her. This is me as well. My grandma died 6 years before I was born. She died in July 2006 from a stroke. She has polio and it's really hard to think about the struggle she went through. We haven't been able to go to her grave since I was 4. I wish she is alive every day. I wish I could hug her and tell her how much I love. This song is extra emotional and poignant because it's a mix of a lot of pain and relief. I lost my cousin very suddenly recently, and my dog shortly before that, but was away from home and in basic training and didn't have time to process. But the song is also a huge feeling of relief because one of my best friends fought PTSD for years from personal tragedy and came so close to suicide so many times, but they've found healing in the last year or so and are safe and very happy now. The same, I lost my grandfather a month before I turned 8, and my world shattered, then a couple years ago my grandmother left to join him, it took me 28 years to finally decide to say goodbye forever and start to heal, I still miss both of them, but the pain finally started to diminish and the anchor that I had to the pain of his passing I finally broke it and started to move on.

I just want to say I found this song by chance today after listening to some of my grandmas old favorite church hymns & I cannot stop listening. My family lost her to cancer 10/6/22. She practically raised me. I was pregnant at the time, & miscarried the following month. I never did allow myself to heal, the pain was too much and life doesn’t stop for anyone - so pushed forward. To the point where 2 years later I am just now finally allowing myself to grieve and heal. I’m listening to this song feeling every type of way, thinking it’s time for me to visit her grave for the first time since we buried her.

Omg this made me so sad because my grandma passed away last year because of Covid and my grandpa,a pretty healthy man,passed away too just after 2 months.And during this 2 months he never stopped crying 😢

My dad works a 9-5 and hears a ton of random npc background music and he”s learnt to tune it out over the years. However, this song just stood out when he heard it. He said “among the mindless music you hear there’s this one heart wrenching song about losing someone and not being able to do anything on sundays” and I was immediately like “oh shit this one.”

This is me as well. My grandma died 6 years before I was born. She died in July 2006 from a stroke. She has polio and it's really hard to think about the struggle she went through. We haven't been able to go to her grave since I was 4. I wish she is alive every day. I wish I could hug her and tell her how much I love. This song is extra emotional and poignant because it's a mix of a lot of pain and relief. I lost my cousin very suddenly recently, and my dog shortly before that, but was away from home and in basic training and didn't have time to process. But the song is also a huge feeling of relief because one of my best friends fought PTSD for years from personal tragedy and came so close to suicide so many times, but they've found healing in the last year or so and are safe and very happy now. Thank you for such a beautiful song; it's cathartic, and it's a place for hurting people to gather and help each other. None of you are alone.

The same, I lost my grandfather a month before I turned 8, and my world shattered, then a couple years ago my grandmother left to join him, it took me 28 years to finally decide to say goodbye forever and start to heal, I still miss both of them, but the pain finally started to diminish and the anchor that I had to the pain of his passing I finally broke it and started to move on.

I'm 17 now and I think always never giving up is the best option. Most ppl think that when a kid smiles or looks jolly all the time is a happy kid who has everything in life. But what most ppl don't know is that most kids have a hard time under those smiles. If any parent ever reads this comment, please pay attention to your kids. They don't have to go through it alone like I did. Trust me it's the most painful thing a child can experience. It can leave permanent scars that can't be healed.
