I can't believe a magician would actually use this effect. In the words of Penn and Teller, it's morally wrong to do magic tricks that are actually dangerous. And this is extremely dangerous. One person or thing out of sync would end in disaster. You can't use a real chipper for this.
Not to mention if you paid attention to the casket it had some sunlight passing through the side where the phony door was. The Magician was in no real harm. If he was he could have rolled out and cancelled the illusion immediately.
