I agree that this episode was a mixed bag. It was a fun episode, and Ncuti and Millie were great, but there was too much left unexplained about the goblins. For example, were they actually aliens? How did they time travel? And the singing scene was strange - and too implausible that the Doctor and Ruby were able to come up with perfect lyrics on the spot like that.
This was pretty terrible. I’m definitely done with Doctor Who and it is really sad as I’ve been a fan for the last 30 years.
to use a football analogy, a group of great players doesn't mean a great team, that reminded me of this episode, so much greatness but something felt lacking and can't put my finger on it, Ncuti and Millie were excellent and it didn't feel like a first outing for them, felt very 13/Clara after they were together for a few eps. which is never a bad thing.
Perfectly explained. Something was missing in the story, and I still can't quite figure out what.

Terrible one of the worst I have seen. Getting sick and tiered of getting WOKE pushed down our throats!! I have been watching Doctor who since the 70's and will not be watching any more
What about the story do you think was woke?
Story was not great! A singing doctor a King of the Goblins looks like a starwars verson of Jaba the hut! I thought that Gatwa was okay as the Doctor! But really Dancing and singing, that has never been the Doctors way! @@WhovianComley

I actually fell asleep during this episode. It was just boring. The Goblin Song was cringe garbage, and yet again we got woke crap shoved down our throats.
It was the Worst story in all 60 years. A NONSENSICAL GOBBLEDYGOOK MESS.
