You have such a beautiful, loving community! I can't tell you how emotionally touched I was to see everyone pull together! And your family, helping others and the boy's cleaning up the yards. And you and Nick helping out your friends and neighbors! You my friend, and your family are beautiful, loving souls. And I'm so glad that your are all safe!

There are customers on my rural mail route who were in Florida they lost their home and will be returning to Illinois for the time being.

That sucks….just in time for winter up north. At least they will be safe and have a roof over their heads unlike some native Floridians. 👍🏻
@@tinawindham6958 I saw her in the post office yesterday. She said they had 4 foot of water in their house and at the bottom it was feet of mud. They weren't able to get a hitch so they could pull a trailer home either. She said they left half their clothes and most of their belongings. She isn't sure if they will ever go back
Been praying. I lived and lost everything thru hurricane Harvey. I swam out with my 1 year old grandson and 16 year old son. Our town was about 80% under water. We were never in the cone or even thought of in the middle of nite changed to late to get out. It happens. So thankful for total stranger's coming from every where to help. So glad y'all are safe. Great community coming together. Your community will be stronger ours got closer and made friends for life.
Yes, they definitely can change overnight. Katrina did and we had that day to get out. I feel for people with pets bc it’s not a gray area…you love your pet and don’t want to leave them so you stay with them. Sometimes they let pets go to shelters after seeing people on the causeway with their pets coming out of New Orleans was horrible.
I lived in Naples for 5 years and I am heartbroken for my friends and church family down there. All were safe, but some have lost their livelihoods. Some ones I know in Ft. Myers had total losses as far as property. We were living in Naples when Irma hit in 2017. So glad you guys were safe. I thought maybe you were going to be, as we have another friends in Bradenton area and they had no damage besides vegetation. We were thinking and praying for you guys. Hurricanes are no joke. Someone is always going to suffer. 💜🙏🙌✝️😘
You truly are all so blessed to be a part of such an amazing church community, who were there to support each other through this intense storm. How comforting for you that there was this safe haven to go to, to help keep your families safe. And the rallying of everyone post storm with cleanup and providing assistance to aide those in need is inspiring. 😢Thank you for sharing your experience. God bless 😊❤️

I am so impressed by your community helping each other. I live in Virginia Beach and we lost power here. The winds were around 65 mph and wind gusts 80mph. Some shingles came off my daughter's roof and their skylight leaked on the bed. I thought about you the entire time it was hitting your area. So happy you came out ok. I am so proud of your boys for cleaning their grandparents yard like little men. They are amazing. Prayers of gratitude that no one was hurt.
My love and prayers were going up, and still are, for all affected. I am grateful that your family was spared any traumatic damage on your properties. Thank you for your service to your community. We are in everything together. You and Nick are a beautiful example of allowing God to work through us! Blessings to ALL! ❤
I was so worried about your family. I am in the middle of South Carolina and we really dodged Ian. Our beaches got hit and piers gone. We had rain and wind. Prayers to everyone in Florida. 🙏❤️🙏

Thank God everyone is ok..we live in Lakeland and we got hit pretty hard and I have a cousin who was hurt pretty bad in Ft. Myers so prayers for him..thankfully we have power and just lots of limbs and trees down but house is solid! Stay safe!

So glad to hear you all are OK! We live in the panhandle and went through hurricane Michael. After all of our years here in Florida, that was the worst. So much devastation. We can definitely relate. Thank you so much for sharing this. I was so thankful for your "short" as well, just letting it be known that you were okay. This was an amazing video, better than a news report because it was up close and personal and showed how community can work together and get through an unknown. Your church community did what the church should have done and be there for safety and provisions as needed. The "D" family of stores will be in my prayers (not going to try to spell their name).
