    Good call on Summer. Silver and Gold already in 400 Freestyle and 400 IM in Paris. Looking good to podium in all four of her events

    Great review! And yes to see Summer take the 400 IM so-handedly was astonishing. Almost thought I was watching Ledecky in an 800m. Which would be great to see those two compete in it again before Katie retires, but probably best that Summer didn't enter that event, considering how exhausting it would be. Even with the added day for swimming events, she still couldn't squeeze in the 200 free which would have been a great event as well for her.

      @KyleMillis Ariarne is arguably best overall in freestyle. Summer's now three gold,1 silver, all in individual events and spanning all 4 strokes, receives my vote for best swimmer st the games. Did not swim in 800m but is only swimmer to beat Ledecky at that distance in past 13 (?) years. Amazingly, she is not yet 18 yrs old, while Ariarne is 23. 2028 may be her crowning moment as GOAT as one would think her best days still lie ahead.

  • @michaelolive5070

    #1 pick is justified. Summer should medal in all 4 individual events. Potential for 2-3 gold. IM should be a cakewalk.

    • @KyleMillis
      @KyleMillis  5 месяцев назад +3

      If she medals in all 4 events & even grabs 1 gold - I’d say this is a valid prediction given how versatile & young she is

      @@KyleMillisI'm an old fart. Not on Instagram. A friend of mine's granddaughter swims with and is best friend of Summer so I've been following her progress over past two years. It will be interesting to see what legacy she creates as she gets older. Incredible she is just turning 18. Would have medalled and had potential to win gold in 800 free. Next time.

    Theses women are incredible athletes. I have nothing but admiration for them they get to the pool at 4am every day and pump out laps before uni, college or work, and probably finds time for a swim at the end of the day too.
