The same pulled dough but without the egg, called "jufka" in Balkans is used to make burek with cheese, meat or sour cherries. Think burek with cheese is absoulte favorite.
Forgot to add that the higher gluten content, the more stretchy dough. Also, this dough can be worked on sold surface without the cloth or flour, just oil the surface underneath the dough and stretch it right away (I don't even use my fists to stretch it, just rolling pin and fingers later).
The new wives' tale is that you don't want to marry a man who reads the newspaper and criticizes your strudel dough while you do all the work.
The strudel looks amazing, well done!
Pretzels with butter in the dough and beer in the boiling liquid are more American, in Germany it mostly is a plain yeast dough and only baking soda in the boiling liquid. But they still look gorgeous. :)

The brezels you made a most certainly delicious, but they are not German version. We dont put brown sugar in the dough and certainly dont sprinkle the with seeds or cheese. We only put salt on them. And we eat them with butter or Obatzer (a creamy cheese with paprica powder and chives).
