The glowing glass is probably what is called Vaseline glass or uranium glass, that is why it glows so bright. Nice finds.👍

The glowing glass is most likely uranium glass. It was common in the 1880's - 1920's and they added oxide diuranate (uranium salt) to the glass mix before melting. It was then made in to glass wears, decorative bowls, cups vases etc. If you shine a black light at uranium glass it will fluoresce just like those pieces you found.

I am desperate to try and get my hands on a Yooperlite, they get harder to find the further away from them you are! Regardless of whether or not you found one (or....just a nail! Or asphalt!), looks like you had a lot of fun! Thanks for another fantastic video! C:

Usually if you find glass that glows under uv its from 1800 to early 1900 and has uranium in it. Thats why it glows green, check out Wildkyle on RUclips he does bottle hunting, thats where I learned this tidbit.

The yooperlites tend to be more prevalent on the Michigan side of Lake Michigan, if you are anywhere in the upper Great Lakes region, it’s possible to find them. You may even find them brought by glacier into N. Indiana. That far south, you may have luck checking along riverbeds and rocks around lake beaches. Another place you may find them is in decorative rock that they bring in to accent parking areas and business fronts.

Don't these need a specific wavelength of UV to make them glow really bright? You mentioned that they were long wavelength flashlights, but as they're LED ones that's going to give you a very narrow band of UV so you mightn't get the right excitation to make the yooperlites show up well.
