I disagree on Raven. Problem was his character was way too convoluted, made no sense (he hated Zoids since his parents died to Hiltz organoid, yet he criticizes those who don't know how to pilot a Zoid, wanted to beat Van in Zoid combat for his own desire) and his rivalry with Van never properly resolved (their final battle was interrupted by the Death Stinger and then they were suddenly on good terms despite not having a proper interaction with each other leaving their conflict unfinished). Raven was basically the writers thinking of Vegeta and saying to themselves (how can we make even more of a dick). The character had potential, someone working alone to kill off all Zoids and using Proson desires to get there, his obsession with Van could've made more sense as the guy always standing in his way of his goals, and wanting to destroy Zoid Eve to kill all Zoid on the planet.
I think you missed the subtleties Of Raven's character. He never truly hated Zoids, something of which Prozen pointed out with him and Shadow, with his rivalry with Van, he simply moved on. He grew, he changed, and he moved on. He isn't the same or the one note character that you described and want him to be. Nearly everyone pointed out how much he changed at the end. That is a good character and rival.
At 1:50 was personally my favorite theme's for Zoids Chaotic Century. Everytime i heard that theme it sent shiver's down my spine and i loved all the fight's with raven

I believe the story is a combination of two series and is very well done. Fiona is a very cute and loveable character. Zeke is the organoid pet that none of us could grow up with and Raven is that mysterious and interesting character with a past that gradually unfolds. Very well done anime.

The Charged Particle Beam was probably the way I identified this orchestration most of the time. Instant death was practically a guarantee when I watched the episode using this theme. @@blackscreennoiseforrelaxat1517 the Geno Breaker was on the brink of death there. Raven is anything but helpless considering that he doesn't use shadow half the time. That's a major difference between him and Van in the first half which he was all the more glad to point out.

When he faced the DS , his Geno breaker was clearly damaged and without shadow support. But Hiltz was using his organoid and a way more powerfull zoid as well. Raven=/> bang>>all
@moisabamf i always skipped megas xlr for some reason :S although i'm not a fan of realism in cartoons i liked Zoids for it's realism the wars are started by men and within the planet not by some drop out space colony that thinks it's more important then everyone else. Zoids are used on the same level our military uses it's vehicles with the difference that Zoids outclass these vehicles (and most mechas) by generations, let's not forget Zoids are alive, self aware free thinking and canalso breed

Amazing series, I loved that Irvine was voiced by Mark Gatha who also played Domon Kashu from G Gundam. I still have a soft spot for the Shield Liger.
