Video has missing information - programming the Module connect with computer - also missing removal of kick panel passenger side and connect a wire to TPMS socket and Running that wire to Driver side and connect with harness....best idea you should have let someone Record video and you do the installation so your hands are not tied....Start X brand this only sells on amazon dont know if this will last long...any Remote starter install shop they only sell Fortin - idatastart - Viper and Compustar...so will this Start X last a long time ? I like it because you dont need to slice any wires it comes with 100 % plug and play T harness...the T harness used with compustar and Idatastart modules...you still have to slice 3 wires..power ignition and Ground....good Stuff...let me know what you think about this start X brand Vs compustar and idatastart brand
I’m not sure what brand you’re using, but there was no flashing of the module on the computer whatsoever. The instructions were provided programmed the module just fine (which everyone will have included). This module was also 100% plug and play, no splicing required. No kick panels were removed whatsoever, only the panels mentioned in the video. Start-x (not sponsored) has been relatively easy to install. I’ve done this 22 RAV4 and a 07 CRV. So for the recommendation portion you’re asking - I may be a little biased based on previous experience but I definitely recommend Start-X. Now, I do agree it’s hard on the viewer to watch a first person video. Even harder to do all the work, film it yourself, and edit it. I’ve had that complaint alot on the channel, however, it’s hard to work a normal day job and work around everyone’s schedules to have a camera man.
@RandomAutomotive Thanks for The Reply...yes i fugured out StartX brand is vehicle specific...Rav4 specific so no need to program using computer...i like how this start X is fully plug and play unlike Compustar fortin evo and idatastart all those brand you need to buy. T HARNESS seprately around 100 bucks for T harness and still you need to slice cut 3 wires to install ...just that This start X is a small brand which is sold only on amazon and Not a very old Reputed brand...in terms of build quality how many years this will last compared to other high end big name brands....whats your opinion on this ? No harm to buy and use and see its just 200 bucks...thanks
How come you just didn't buy the model with remote start? My 2024 XLE came with remote start. Mine is just the base model XLE. Not the Prime, Adventure, Limited, or Hybrid models.
@RandomAutomotive Understood. I have another question. Since you installed the remote start yourself (great job by the way), does it function the same way as the factory installed version? When I open my car door, the engine shuts off. Does yours?
Can you share the product link from where u have purchased it?
In the description!
Do you require a subscription after installing this?
Nope!! I’d appreciate one to the channel though 😂

I ordered mine during the shipping crisis in 2021, I had to take what was fastest unfortunately.
