Fun thing about Kitsune, they don't always have nine tails. in fact, part of the reason for Kurama's arrogance could be because in Kitsune lore, the more tails they have the more powerful they are. It also denotes how long they've lived.
I do like how Naruto does actually reflect kurama and Garra with his arrogance to start with and his whole thinking that caring about only yourself is the correct path of power
One of the main people that convince Naruto that the will to protect is of course sasuke with his second attempt(maybe third if you count his fight with ororichimaru) at killing himself while protect his comrades

Baryon mode is described as inducing something akin to nuclear fusion between Naruto's and Kurama's chakras, boiling your chakra is akin to baryon mode as a pot of boiling water is to the sun

Actually, Baryon mode is based on baryon particles which (paraphrasing here)by performing some similar to nuclear fusion, produce energy by smashing into one another. Baryons multiplier is several times what Boil release grants

...I heard that somewhere in the series we figure out that Garras sand was never the shukaku it was his mothers will infused into him
So his absolute defense is his mothers will, but when he’s using his and offensively that is shukakus blessing
@@NCHammer23 I'm not so sure, gaara still uses sand in Boruto and if I'm correct he doesn't have shukaku anymore, although technically I do think he still has 1% of shukakus power, but sand is his families power so I'm assuming he got it to. His dad has gold sand, and his mother has sand to.

My understanding of the tailed beast chakra system is that Hagoromo split the 10 tails not once into 9 parts, but halved it 9 times, as seen when half of kurama's tailed beast bomb was just a bit stronger than the combined tailed beast bomb of the 2-7 tails, as 1 through 7 is equal to the 8 tails, which is equal to half of the 9 tails, but in exchange, tailed beasts with less chakra have better kekkei genkai.
Also explains why Obito was a joke while Madara was OP as hell with the ten tails. Obito literally only had pieces of the eight and nine tails, the two strongest ones in terms of chakra. Madara flat up took the eight tails and half of the nine tails so he was literally only missing a tiny bits Naruto had and the other half of Kurama. Aside from Madara just being Madara.
Interesting theory. Personally, I think the 9 Tailed Beasts even together are much weaker than the Juubi. Juubi is more than the sum of the beasts. I will be talking about it in one of my future episodes on the channel. I invite you, maybe you will be interested !!.
this would mean Shukaku would be a joke in terms of Chakra reserves which will not be feasible, I think they could be created with equal initial chakra reserves but their talents, experiences and Jinchuuriki all play a part in how powerful they are, which will explain why Shukaku would dare to even have a feud with Kurama, because he is somewhat comparable to Kurama even if he is still weaker, halving so many times will see Shukaku not even close to Kurama and would make him a bullied tailed beast rather than someone that can talk in somewhat equal terms with Kurama.
@@Xershade I think the reason why Obito was significantly weaker than Madara was because he was weak, not because he had the weaker Juubi, as we can see from the tailed beasts with the main guys, 1, 8 and 9, also could be because of compatibility too, Killer Bee was not the first 8 tails Jinchuuriki but he is the strongest, probably because the both of them understood each other well and were compatible, same deal with Gaara and Naruto.

“That is literally how baryon mode works.” But, it isn’t. Baryon Mode is the result of Kurama’s own study of chakra. Kurama apparently learned about Nuclear Fusion. Baryon Mode required Kurama to fuse he and Naruto’s chakra together on a nuclear level. It’s not just “I’m heating my chakra to a boiling point” it’s called Baryon Mode for a reason.
In short, Baryons are heavy subatomic particles which consist of three quarks. This is the same type of fusion that protons and neutrons undergo in the Sun except it’s Chakra Science and not just heating. Boil release is still OP, yes. Is it Baryon Mode? No. Two completely different things.

I’ve always thought that the number of tails denotes the amount of chakra each tail beast has. In other words the more tails a tailed beast he the more chakra reserves they contain.

I have one dispute when you spoke of itachi talking about the nine tails. He was sworn to protect the leaf. Him telling the atakski to go after naruto last because kurama being stronger than everyone could just be him coming up with a fabrication to keep them away from the leaf for as long as possible.
Probobaly but you do have to put them in order from weakest to strongest. Even Madara had to start with Shukaku and end with Kurama, mind you he also did it in less than en episode but it's
Madara we're talking about. So yeah probably wanted to stall the Leaf getting in Pains sights, but also the fact that Madara had to go in order means that yes you do need to put Kurama in last.

A very nice and detailed video. My favourite of all the biju is definitely matatabi. I'm a big cat person and I like it's abilities and fire release. Though after watching this Isobu is definitely placing a lot higher on my list, I didn't even know it could use space-time ninjutsu before this.

So something I've always thought about involving the Jinchurikis. When Madara puts the 4th Mizukage under genjutsu. Why didnt Isobuu help him out of the genjustu for all this time? Like when Sasuke tried to put a genjutsu on killer Bee? 8tails disrupted the chakra flow allowing killer bee to get out of the genjutsu really quickly! Any ideas?
i think it´s either something with the seal, like it either distances the biyuu and host to the point the point they can´t communicate (which im not sure is even possible but eh) or maybe isobu just didn´t care enough. i mean, he was sealed right after coming back after dying with Rin soo who knows

Bit late of a reply. But the reasoning is actually a lot more simple then people think. Jinchurikis are not immune to genjutsu, just really resistant. This is because to break a genjutsu you need someone to disrupt your chakra flow. Jinchurikis that are freinds with the tailed beast inside them, have their tailed beast that can disrupt their chakra when every needed. As demonstrated by Killer Bee and eight tails, however even so it took a second or two to break. Now the reason madara’s could control the 4th Mizukage is because his visual powers and mastery of genjutsu was so high, that he placed the 4th Mizukage and the three tails under genjutsu before they could break each other out.
Side not - Now this under normal circumstances, the only know genjutsu that is so powerful it cannot be broken out by disrupting someone’s chakra flow is the infinite tsykuomi. All other genjutsu can be broke by disrupting someone’s chakra flow enough, or in the case of Kotoamatsukami if the users becomes aware it is used on them.
@@haydenscholze7452 well, technically, Itachi's Tsukuyomi cannot be broken since it happens in as short as a picosecond. And yes, i think the best explanation on why Yagura remained under genjutsu for years while also being a perfect jinchuriki is because Isobu was also put under the same ocular genjutsu (which is a better explanation on why Isobu keeps his other eye closed imo).

I’d love to know more about the reaper death seal. So when you get seal in it you’re not actually dead right? Seeing a filler episode where Minato is fighting with Kurama in limbo would’ve been cool. We would’ve seen 4 of the leaf’s kage get trap it in so it be cool to know if they’re conscious about the world of the living.

I can only imagine shukaku's affinity for sealing things away came from his time in the tea kettle. Either he permanently absorbed some of the technique that kept him sealed, or it's the remnants of the monk who he befriended.

Baryon mode works by slamming Naruto's chakra into Kurama's destroying it forever and creating a new energy source, while boiling Kokuo's chakra wasn't destroying it comepletely and likely wouldn't create as much energy as Baryon mode which is based on Nuclear Fusion.
One thing that should have been mentioned was that Kurama was literally named after a character in Yu Yu Hakusho, Kurama who was a fox demon.
Both characters are based on Japan's 9 tailed fox myth.

It be interesting for someone to explain why the Hidden Leaf village and other places in land of fire look so technologically backwards compared to other villages which are more like cities
im guessing development was slow to keep the old style there,, and then pain blew the whole leaf village apart so that probably took longer to develop more, but in boruto they look more technology advanced
The Leaf has been torn apart around 3-5 times, no wonder it doesn't look more advanced.

This video only reminds me that the bijou themselves are more plot devices/mcguffins than actual characters because I would honestly love to know their feelings on these things that happened to them.
Naruto as a whole has a glaring weakness in that it focuses VERY HARD on its core main cast but VERY LITTLE on anything else so the very main characters get fleshed out but everyone else doesn't

Amazing explanation video, I literally knew all those things you said but isobu info was amazing, I never knew that he can use the mist and more.
Sadly you still miss some minor things like how kurama may be inspired from the kitsune, he also has some relation to the huli Jing, gumiho and also kishimoto claimed that he draw kurama with a human body structure. You also forgot to mention that son goku claimed that he can use senjutsu & his jinchuriki are the only ones capable of cloaking part or all of their body in lava and you also didn't mention seiken blue cloak on utakata weather it's canon or not and also didn't mention the fact that matabi can give her jinchuriki the ability to use blue flame, you only mention the ability to make big fire balls and you didn't mention the yokai that each of the tailed beast are inspired from but you still did great.

I think the distinction between Baryon and Boil Release is just the intensity or "temperature" of the effect. Like, Boil release is increasing the temperature to a boil - big amps to the user but nothing overly permanent. Baryon, however, is going beyond boiling by many times to the point of "fusion". I agree, though... It's literally just baby-Baryon mode.
Eeh it's boiling just one chakra though, Berton mode is combining (fusion) two chakras permanently, and at a greater ratio of tailed beast chakra to human chakra, permanently burning through the tailed beast chakra. Yes while the temp is heavily many times more than boil release, the strength I think equally comes from the combining of two different chakras. Another form of baby baryon mode is sage as it's combining the person's chakra with the inherent chakra of nature. And chakra is as strong as it is as itself is a combination of the spiritual and physical energy of a person. I think that's why senju and uzumaki have such large chakra reserves as their inherent physical energy (their vitality) is so immense compared to other people.
Each tail just means more chakra, not essentially more power. It just depends on how they used the chakra, for example Son Gokus lava release made him stronger than some of the tails that have higher amounts of tails.

In regards to boil release I'd think that unlike Barion mode it just heats the chakra rather than smashing it together like nuclear fusion hence it dosent permanently spend the chakra. That would also explain why it's not as powerful👍

Im late and i'm sure people have already commented this, but Barion mode isn't just increasing the chakra temperature to boiling point but is a reference to nuclear fusion where Kurama put everything he had into increasing the temperature of his and Naruto's chakra to a point where it molecularly fused to create a new more powerful form of chakra
Minato was also a jinchuriki bcs he the had the yin half and naruto had the yang half

Baryon mode is based off of nuclear fusion, not boil release.

*cough* what this basically means is Fission reactors (Fusion reactors are still a pipedream) heat up a fluid such as water, increasing it's kinetic energy to drive a steam engine...

The people of the Sand Village continued to believe the tea kettle to be a vessel the priest’s “ghost” was attached to the kettle and would haunt any place the kettle sat.⬇️

Okay soo if gaara can keep magnet release from shukaku doesnt that mean naruto has some kind of abilities from kurama? He's even had kurama longer then gaara had he's tailed beast so technically wouldn't he have atleast something?
I would go on to say yes, but with Kurama' existence being wiped completely. Thus his chakra, I wouldn't be surprised if Naruto didn't retain something. It's a plot hole at the moment, hopefully that's clarified in the story later. Sooner rather than later.
Probably, but kurama doesn't have an associated kekkei genkai to leave behind like shukaku has.

I really feel hogoromo wasn't done right in the anime atleast. Over all he I feel he should have lived alot longer and we should definitely have gotten more content on him

But yeah they definitely skipped over alot of good stuff they could have done. I get they probably were crunched for time but I'm sure they could have done something to flesh out the character more. Like maybe have a few novels on him it be like his writings of his journey as the sage of six paths or something. I think one thing that kind of made him seem weak was when he appeared he made it seem he couldn't do anything but watch not by choice but by limit of his power if they didn't want him to basically just defeat the kaguya and madara they should have made him specify he could interfere but chooses to leave it to Naruto and Sasuke to do things

Cause as far as we know he was just really powerful but perhaps a little background to that power and an example of its potential would be cool. I mean when he easily blocked the 10 tails bijuu bomb that was pretty cool but from what I've seen there's a lot of characters that appear to be stronger than him already I like to rewatch the old stuff because now there's to much going on it feels like I'm watch DBZ

@@thewildananas I mean we saw him shrink in size though after Minato split his chakra. The same can't be said for the beasts and summons with the exception of Katsuyu because they never had what happened to kurama happen to them.

I love all the tailed beasts I would love to host all nine of them I know technically naruto did but he only has small pieces but we’ve never seen someone host more than one complete tailed beast (not counting the ten tails because that’s not the same)
It wouldn't be pleasant having 9 very powerful differing personalities in you that could potentially overpower you and force their way out killing you

But that suggests that every ten tails is the same person and within them holds the same 9 souls.
Hagorama split the ten tails into 9 beasts who just so happened to turn into little cute babies who were all nice before humans treated them badly.

Shukaku showed no sign of knowing the nine tails despite the transformation or feeling narutos Chakra.
I do think that making them connected was a decent retcon.
That said I don't like the whole kaguya tentails lore sage splitting them lore etc.
I preferred when they were just evil forces of nature.
Kurama was much better as a character foil.

The ten tails could have simply been some anomaly that resulted from the other beasts.

A few are i.e. Shukaku (except magnetism has zilch to do with wind.)
(Magnetism is cuased by electron alignments. I.e electricity i.e. lightning element.)
Wind and water create sand erosion.
Shukaku should have represented erosion. Or at least wind driven erosion.
The action of the hot wind in a desert.
These could have led to several things.
Gyuki volcanoes. And everything associated with them. And that includes boil. Cuase magma movement. Cuases geysers mudslides(lahar) lava flows. Pyroclastic flows on and on and on.
Matatabi could have represented fire 🔥 and things associated. She lived in a swamp. So perhaps will the wisp. Gas immersion. Possibly even scorch release. As gas is air.

These tailed beasts should have simply been manifestations of nature in a evil sense.

Also again the kaguya stuff. Was not originally planed.
Kishi had to go on hiatus to figure out how to kill maddara he flat stated he made maddara to strong.
But here's the thing by humanizing them with names he essentially retconned his earlier concepts.
Kyuubi was a conglomerate of hate.
And by making it to where he was controlled into attacking the village he humanized the beast.
That took away its narrative value of it being a foil.
