@NCHammer23 Just want to point out that a tailed beast bomb from any tailed beast is able to
vaporize a mountain with ease let alone a city. The nine tails does this to multiple mountains easily.
Also in the manga minato clashes his rasengan against kurama's biju bomb but the bomb itself was not fully
formed yet this is shown in the chamber when you see all the small orbs that didn't go into it. So minato's
rasengan couldn't beat a true beast bomb from kurama. Also again city level is a HUGE low ball.

I have a question about Naruto, if a uchiha is edotenseued what stopes them from using izunagi to get a living breathing body? It would probably lack one of their sharigan but it could be used to reivie an inter clan as it’s just creation of all things giving edotensei body’s real body’s?

This manga has shown me how badly we need to have a Minato show. I feel like Minato could be a protagonist that is a lot like Naruto but much more serious and focused through out his journey.

Loved the last panel with Minato smiling at Kushina & his face is next to the other Hokage. So heartwarming to see them again
The hokage faces part really moved me.
This just shows how deeply Kushina & Minato loved each other. Almost all of Minato’s battle arsenal is sealing jutsu which the Uzumaki specialized in. And Kushina helped Minato learn A LOT of sealing techniques. So Kushina was always with Minato on the battlefield due to his sealing arsenal. Plus Minato created the Rasengan for the soul purpose of protecting Kushina. She even named his technique and he didn’t have a single objection. This just leaves me wanting to see more of their relationship. Even if it’s in a slice of life style.
please give me a "minato being the perfect housewife he us" slice of life
Yup they are now canonically my favorite couple in the verse. Their VAs did a great job voicing them and bringing the characters to life.

what I find really awesome is that Minato says that he designed the Rasengan for Kushina and her totally out of this world amount of chakra. Which mean that when Naruto throw theses stupidly huge rasengans who almost look like freakin Genkidama from DBZ, THAT is technically the true from of the technique. Which make sense since it's supposed to be the counter to Bijuudamas who are equally huge.
The "true" form is the rasenshuriken. Jiraiya told Naruto Minato never completed the Rasengan and the last part was infusing his own chakra nature into it.

It gets even better than Kushina just naming the rasengan. It's implied that the first time Minato says he loves Kushina is when he's fighting kurama/using the rasengan inside the seal. Kushina naming the rasengan as such represents the moment that her uzumaki became a rasen.
I like that we saw the 2 jinchuriki using their full tailed beast transformations in a way like the avatar mode. I thought that was a much better way of handling it compared to Gaara and Bee who would just turn into their tailed beast.
I like Gaara's mini Shukaku mode though. it feels like it's Shukaku's tailed beast mode version 2.5.

It's unexplained though, and runs counter to previous lore which involved v1 cloaks or full bijuu forms. Not this weird hybrid that looks more like a bijuu Susanoo.

We now have more people who know the rasengan. We have:
Minato, Kushina, Jiraiya, Kakashi, Naruto, Konohamaru and Boruto.
It's a nice touch to have Kushina also know the rasengan as it's a jutsu designed specifically for her. This makes Naruto learning it even more special. The rasengan is his parents' jutsu.

People tend to forget Hashirama was NEVER supposed to be as absurdly strong as he was in the 4th shinobi war, that arc retconned so much and the power creep was ridiculous.
@@Shadowwarrior996 i don't think you get his point. hashirama, when kishimoto was originally writing naruto, was never supposed to be that absurdly strong. kishimoto basically just changed his mind later on in shippuden and made him a god.
You can clearly see that in the 3rd hokage vs orochimaru fight, where hiruzen wasn't particularly scared of having to fight hashirama or tobirama, but he looks at minato's coffin, shits his pants, and proceeds to do all he can to prevent orochimaru from reviving minato, even as an edo.
so yeah, basically minato was originally supposed to be stronger than hashirama, but kishimoto kinda just changed his mind and turbo buffed him.

There are many clues before shippuden and even in shippuden that Hashirama wasn't overpowered. As the comment before said, Hiruzen wasn't scared of facing BOTH Hashirama and Tobirama when Orochimaru attacked (with Minato it was just overkill hence why he stopped the 3rd coffin, we don't know if a reincarnated Minato is stronger than Hiruzen).
The 2nd is Kakuzu, he mentioned that he took the 1st Hokage's heart. AGAIN, this wasn't a bluff or a joke or a mistake by Kishimoto, all akatsuki members were based on monsters/demons and were S-Class criminals, enough to kill Kages (Sasori killing the 3rd Kazegake for example). It made perfect sense that Kakuzu, a man who lived 100+ years, faced the 1st Hokage and killed him in some way, how would Hashirama be so overpowered in this case?
Most likely, after the pain arc kishomot didn't know how to go beyond Nagato/Pein in terms of power level, so he brought back Hashirama and Madara and made absurdly powerful, just to accomodate his "child of prophecy" plotline with Naruto and sasuke.
It took me a second to realize why Kurama was able to force a bijufication on Kushina so fast. This is Kurama at his full strength. Unlike with Naruto who only had half of Kurama. Makes more sense why they had her in a barrier to start.
Not only that, Kushina had a weaker seal which is the 4 symbol seal, obviously it is still a stronger seal than all the other 8 jinchurikis, after all it is an Uzumaki seal, however this seal is still weaker than the 8 symbol seal. trigrams that Minato places on Naruto later, so there were at least 2 things that made breaking the seal easier: he is weaker and has complete kurama sealed in him
In Naruto, who had an 8 trigram seal, the Kurama chakra sometimes escaped precisely because it was Minato's intention, after all, he modified the seal so that little by little the Kurama chakra was mixing with Naruto's, so if he didn't do this, the seal would probably never would be broken by kurama or third parties
I've always said Minato had to get his arms cut off in the War Arc cause of plot he is too OP so they had to nerf him in that battle. We've seen Minato has high chakra reserves , great counter reaction timing , insane jutsus and feats that are impressive even after all the broken characters that came after him. That man was a Hokage for a reason and had as much natural potential as Hashirama And Madara . Sadly his story was cut short. side note he aint even have a kekkei genkai
He was also going through a lot of turmoil given that even though he was right about the world events that would occur, he was blaming himself for all of it. Kurama and Naruto had to snap him out of it a couple times, the whole Obito being alive and being responsible for all it, basically there was a lot on his mind.
In that moment too, he was pretty much so proud of Naruto that he basically depended on him to carry them to victory and that he was just there to help. His character was pretty much different from the assertive no nonsense ninja who was feared across the World.
Just like when he went into kurama sage mode learned it within secs he really was that guy

Minato was so strong that he was able to clash with Kurama's Tailed Beast Bomb (the strongest Tailed Beast) by simply using an imperfect Rasengan and come back to life to tell a story, not forgetting he did it all while Kushina's hand stabbed right through his body. Naruto's father and Boruto's grandfather are completely different breeds! 🔥

Really puts into perspective Kakashi’s concern with Naruto using the move against Sasuke. Also explains why Naruto’s training during the time skip wasn’t a extensive move list, he probably had to spend allot of that time making his rasengan stronger.
Imagine this one shot is the key to giving Naruto a power up in Boruto using the seal and Rasangan
Yeah, Kakashi saw the Rasengan and was like oh god, this kid is about to end the mang- I mean, Sasuke. Naruto's Rasengan wasn't anywhere near that powerful but it really re contextualizes that moment.

But I'll go with condensed chakra that looks like lightning so why did it take Boruto for Kakashi to improve the base chidori and for Boruto to add lightning release into it?! Could've been an awesome moment if both Naruto and Sasuke had their respective rasengan variants (rasenshuriken vs maybe incomplete vanishing rasengan?).
I just read it this morning and I LOVED IT! It was so heartwarming to see even a little bit of their relationship. And to see Kushina hear the girls in the background whispering about inviting Minato and then choose to break the rules and boundaries for love was a total Naruto thing to do. He really is his mothers son. I love this whole story from beginning to boruto and I really hope they do a past stories because im totally here for it.
Fun thing to consider with what the Pervy sage did with both Naruto and Minato maybe when he started doing that with Naruto it reminded him of all the good times he had with Minato and helped remind him of the closest thing he had to a son with the closest thing he has to a grandson.
Also think of how hard it had to be for Jirya when he heard Minato died his basically son died and he wasn’t there to help him. And now I’m sad.

Definitely. Even Tsunade felt it, and it was nice to see her in the village and even be involved in the aftermath of Minato completing it given how she was so taken aback when a young Naruto was able to show it off. So much so that Tsunade even mentioned that moment a second time just before Jiraiya died as she said he crammed Naruto full of power.
It's not stated as much, but if Tsuande felt that way, Jiraiya must have felt just as much or more.

My only disappointment with this oneshot is that it’s shorter than I thought.
Especially considering Kishimoto said it was getting longer than he expected.
Also it seems like not enough time passed but it’s kinda hard to tell
I hope it turns into a full series or at least a few more chapters. Maybe get a movie adaption later on. Its a stretch tho 😢

The 4th had the best reveal when it first released. Sure even as kids we knew he was Naruto’s dad just from context clues and design, etc. but finally showing him off was LIT 🔥

Heart warming as the one-shot showed us how close Minato and Kushina relationship was, everyone is overlooking how powerful Kurama really is. There had to be two methods used to prevent him from escaping, the 1st being sealed inside an Uzumaki, both full blooded ones at that, and the 2nd is having said Uzumaki living inside a barrier so he doesn’t break out of his first seal. GOATED!
I wish Kishimoto didn’t introduce Roshi and Han had Full Tail Beasts Avatar Transformation since it created another plot hole as to why Killer Bee never used it, and made Naruto’s own no longer unique if other tail beasts host can also use it. Still cool, but not unique as it also diminishes Naruto and Kumura’s relationship since I and many other fans thought the transformation arise from their bond, or at least only unique to Kurama.
Naruto's transformation is still unique because it's basically a kurama chakra avatar. Han and Roshi both have the physical manifestation of the beasts
Minato CREATED the rasengan in that manga, he did not perfect it yet, remember Jiraiya said that Minato showed him the jutsu before he perfected it

@@hawkeyemihawkgettingmoneylordprobably perfect rasengan means precise control over its size and power which minato had to practice, as base rasengan is way too powerful and requires way more chakra, so mastering it would probably make it energy efficient and control its power, because you have to suppress it while fighting humans otherwise they will go boom. He just used the raw unefficient version against an incomplete and suppressed bijudama.
Seems like the rasengan being that strong could be a mental amp because he's protecting Kushina, and not something he'd normally be capable of. That seems in line with the overall narrative, love being the power that balances hate and such. Minato acts out of love, cancels out Kurama acting out of hate.
Maybe if he didn't die young he would have developed it to be that powerful all the time. But young Minato mental amping way above his level is probably another parallel between him and Naruto.
When Jiraiya tried giving him the popsicle I got a like choked up. It was honestly beautifully written. Better than most of Boruto

I’m so glad this came out. I would always say we don’t know enough about Minato and I thought he was more powerful than Kishimoto let on. I used to say I think an all out Minato could rival Alive Madara and used to get laughed at. But now there’s actual Cannon to back my claims.
That’s exactly what I’ve always thought. Considering the way edo tensei from Orochimaru had Hashirama and Tobirama barely keeping up with old man Hiruzen, we can assume that when all the Hokage were brought back, they were at a fraction of their power, especially considering that Hashirama and Madara are rivals while Madara wipes the floor with the 5 kage at the same time. So a lot of the feats of the edo Hokage are very hard to scale with certainty during the war arc
Even tho I’m yet to read the full minato one shot, I’m even more impressed by his shinobi talents. He truly was a prodigy and his skill was second to none. It’s also nice to see how his relationship with kushina develops. This was way better than how naruto’s affection for hinata was done in the movie. I kinda hope we can one day get a white fang one shot to see just how deadly Sakumo was or even Shisui since we really didn’t see much of them in combat

I actually liked getting confirmation that all jinchuriki can have a chakra avatar like Kurama and Naruto. I'm thinking this means Naruto could have a complete tailed beast transformation, that he's in control of, like B and Gyuki. We saw something close when Kurama was escaping Pains Planetary Devastation but Naruto had no control of that situation.

Kurama fully manifests in Naruto The Last. Near the end of the movie.
I always assumed that form happened because Naruto only had half of Kurama at that time and it took everything Kurama had just to manifest the skeleton and some muscles. Yamato's tail level warning did fully reach 9, after all. That was Naruto's 9-Tailed Form, at that time. By the end of The Last as someone else mentions, Naruto would have had full Kurama and thus a full form.

I think Kishimoto forgot that Minato was suppose to be 14 years old and thought he was suppose to be like 19 to 20 (Kinda near the age of Naruto). We also know he sometimes tends to forget things and who can blame him. Also this doesn't change the fact that this manga made a tons of money for him and gave more content and lore to Naruto/Minato Fan. Kinda win win situation here.
Minato stronger than you know
Kishimoto has never been able to draw his characters age appropriate though. Hiruzen, Itachi, Minato, Kushina, Tsunade (he cheats here), kid Hashirama/Madara, Konohamaru, and I could go on.
It's interesting because the power feats we saw align with what we were initially told about Minato back in the early days of Naruto, which is that he was/is (excluding Naruto) the strongest Hokage. It just doesn't track with everything we've seen from him feat wise thus far, but if it's one thing Kishimoto is going to do it's take a wrecking ball to the world and lore he's previously built lol.
It’s crazy that Naruto needed a giant Rasengan to stop Half of Kurama with his chakra taken, while Minato did it effortlessly with a regular Rasengan while facing Kurama with both his Ying and Yang halves together

Yep, love his content, and I'm sure he's busy now and all, plus this release is a special case, but seriously... three RUclips channels plus life. I get that he needs to capitalize on things while he's blowing up like this, but it seems unsustainable if done too long.
In the panel that Minato's rasengan clashed with Kurama's tailed beast bomb, Kurama was still forming the bomb. Is it possible that the rasengan was effective not because it's city level but because Minito had timed the attack well, like when Naruto used his rasengan against the 3rd Raikage's arm? Love the video, and I can't wait to see more!

The problem with that is that size wise the tailed beast bomb is pretty large, and tailed beast bomb basically is a size/charge time=power of the attack. Even if he had only started powering it, it would still be effective at a fraction of its power, just not as strong. So the question is not if Minato is as powerful as just a fully charged tailed beast bomb, but how powerful Minato’s rasengan is compared to varying degrees of chakra poured into one of Kurama’s tailed beast bombs

I think that the 2 jonins in Minato and Jiraia's team from the first page, are the same kids from the original (older picture). There is a a difference in appearance for both of them but the basis is still there (for example the girls, from the right side gas the same hairstile as the original picture, and the guy from the back also has the same hair style). Or maybe I'm just imagining things :D
If Masashi Kishimoto making this kind of back story for every naruto character, i am so in on it. Also Minato is a very lovable character just like himawari i can see why people chose him

When Minato is in the seal, he may be weaker than Kurama but what he was doing was sealing Kurama's chakra weakening the beast.

I feel like we learned from Boruto that Rasengan can be scaled not only from size and added elements but also through density. Maybe Minato is not able to consistently pull of a high density rasengan but was so during the fight against Kurama. Scaling this Rasengan vs the one used against Obito at the night of his death feels a bit weird.
Then again, maybe there is yet another factor next to the 3 I just named and we will learn about it in the (hopefully) upcoming Minato story...

Keep in mid the detail on kurama doing the tail beast bomb. Its pretty much still forming which means kurama was still gathering chakra while minato just attacked the tail beasts bomb. The same situation happened when kurama was gathering chakra Naruto hit him and it crumbled the tail beasts bomb. If it isn't released it doesn't really have the destructive power "Yet". Hence why a regular rasenga interrupted the kuramas tail beasts bomb.
This does not make Minato weak or the rasengan technique weak.
Not really. Kurama could also be overcharging the TBB. You can’t quantify how large the Rasengan is, especially since the “aura” of the Rasengan is just as powerful as a full Rasengan in the next panel. Or the fact that the TBB is just as big as the two fired by Roshi and Han.
Well the tailed beast bomb is quite large and even if it wasn’t complete it’s still at least over 50% charged based on panel length by comparison to charge time in the war arc and is probably fully charged. But even if it’s 10% power and Kushina is suppressing 50% of Kurama’s power then that tailed beast bomb should be as strong as one created by the 5 tails (each tailed beast is half as strong as the previous tailed beast so Kurama=2x Gyuuki). So even if you low ball the feat Minato still had a 5 tails level feat at 14 his first time using the rasengan

I absolutely loved the one-shot! On the topic of Minato's power scaling? He's GOATed and we already knew that. Lol. I loved that we got some more timeline specifications, too, though. I don't tend to pay much attention to the timeline at this point because we all know it's just such a huge mess, but that bit of info giving us an incredibly good approximation of WHEN Uzushio and the Uzumakis were destroyed was fantastic! We now know that it was very close to right after Kushina came to Konoha. I also liked the lore building with us now knowing that Kushina was generally not allowed to leave a very particular sealed area for the majority of her life and that she didn't originally have as much control over her seal as we once thought. That makes Naruto's seal strength so much more profound, since contrary to Mito and Kushina, he COULD go pretty much anywhere without his seal going berserk, even before he had friends and romantic love. Now I wanna know if Mito had been confined to this sealed area her entire time as a jinchuriki, or if it was only after she started to age to the point that her seal was no longer as strong? And and didn't seem at all that Kushina was confined to this area later in her life, so my guess is that she was able to move around freely after she was able to find love with Minato and that love allowed her to keep her seal more controlled.

I think it's also sensible to suggest that the design of the rasengan was also designed to suppress tail beast balls by dispersing the energy. If the rotation is moving or chipping away at the Chakra then it could reduce the power of it. Therefore he wouldn't need to match kurama exactly.

Minato isn’t 11-14 in manga he’s 16, Sannin fought Hanzo at 27, Minato was 13, Jiraiya met Nagato who was 7 he trained Ame 3 Orphans for 3 years he leaves them at 30 when Nagato at 10 mastered all natures, which during this time the 2nd war is still going on and Minato is 16.
Team Minato is formed until Minato is 19.
3rd ninja war started when minato was 20 caused by the 3rd kazekage going missing.
Minato didn’t become Hoakge at 21, he became Hoakge at 23 the year Obito was presumed dead the year Rin died and the year the 3rd ninja war ended.

The Flying Raijin technique, although a super secret advanced technique difficult to master and kept well hidden inside something like the scroll of sealing, is still a technique that was already perfected and documented / written down somewhere in some form that Minato could refer to and study / take inspiration from to make it his own.
The Rasengan however, had to be made from scratch. There was no research or material he could refer to, other that seeing the tailed beast balls. And you don't see a tailed beast bomb every other day.
So it's understandable it took him years to create the Rasengan meanwhile he had already learnt the Flying Raijin in a shorter time being the genius that he is.
It obviously got easier for the others who came after Minato, like Jiraya, Kakashi, Naruto and Konohamaru because they were taught this by someone else / was able to see it and re create it.

However, when tobirama said that he cant teleport every one like minato can, here is the reason: minato said he cant teleport any thing that he himself or his chakra is touching. Minato can teleport everyone that has his ninetails chakra, remember. And the fact tobirama can use minato's seal or hack them, just shows he is not inferior to minato with FTG. At times in the war tobirama was able to link himself to minato & naruto's chakra to teleport away those in danger. He switch places with Kcm daze minato, this same minato blitz kcm 1 naruto & sauske. Daze minato at times out performed kcm 1 naruto & sauske. So daze kcm minato is far above raikage, early ems sauske, & kcm 1 naruto. But yet his speed & ftg use can be matched by Edo tobi, especially since he was the one coordinating, moving, thinking, & teleporting with minato. 👍
Another point to prove the uselessness of body flicker jutsu & minatos bflicker jutsu: Minato got to the battle field before all the hokages, using bflicker, yes. But through out his life, & all the fights we see him in, his body flicker is so so so useful to him, that he always have to rely on FTG. Against raikage, bee, young obito, even in his kcm mode, when helping guy, when fighting madara, when fighting Onoki's 50 ninjas, in his new one shot. 👍. Minato cant seem to RELY on his body flicker jutsu 🤔, why🤔. Maybe kishimooto implemented bflicker in the series to make ninjas look kool or something. Also, hiruzen arrived on the battle field with his hands on the ground, so its obvious he wasn't running, but rather jumping. Body flicker is jumping, but faster than you would normally jump. Depending on your skills with it, that will determine how far & high you can jump. 👍🙏. Also, look at it this way, hashi arrived after minato, because minato his better at the bflicker jutsu. Now, if bflicker makes you faster in combat, then that means minato is faster than hashi. However, im pretty sure Minato didn't beat obito with bflicker, it was FTG. Hashi cant use FTG but im pretty sure he can blitz young young obito. Madara can too. And toibirama, who was moving & reacting on par with hashi against hiruzen in part one wouldn't even need FTG to blitz younger younger obito. Its no wonder tobirama hardly uses FTG. His life dont depends on it 😂. Minato, however, is always always always, always using FTG. Not only because he's good at it, but also because HIS LIFE DEPENDS on it 🫣😔. Hashi dont need FTG to blitz raikage, or bee. Madara dont too. We even see edo weakened madara reacting to KCM 1 NARUTO and blitzing him. So please tell me how is bflicker useful in a combat situation? And what role did such an awesome technique (bflicker) played in any of the fights in naruto manga/ anime/ novels/ oneshots? Edo tensei is based off the Chakra of the person preforming it, not the power level of the person being brought back. Remember that Tobirama could only make 2 shadow clones and not an army

itachi yata statement literally says any physical attack or spiritual attack btw would most likely mean kamui would not work on his shield. its better than yagarua water style reflective mirror. His water reflection would likely lack the properties of itachi shield and sword. All and all it just cements that the rasengan is a tier. And the only way you usually survive getting hit by it, is healing hacks, and even than it messes with that as well lmao. If anyone has ever played ninja storm 4 you know what happens if Minato teleports on top of itachi, you just use his ultimate. itachi can use his susanoo as a tag team partner.

I think this new information about Han and Roshi doesn't necessarily negate Roshi's statement about his relationship with Son Goku. It just puts it in a different context. Maybe he wasn't referring to the fact that Naruto and Bee are perfect Jinchuriki but to the fact that their ability to be perfect jinchuriki comes from friendship. He was a jinchuriki during a war, maybe his and Son Goku's relationship was based in shared hatred, they were close enough to allow Roshi to manifest, but they were not friends, which would be another explanation for his words in Naruto.

I kinda have a theory that the anbu members were Konohamarus parents, because it was stated that his parents were anbu and very important.
It's not only that! This also perfectly explains why Minato himself was also able to show up during the Pain arc (as well as Kushina later on when Naruto fought Kurama)! This ties in so neatly into the "2 suns" inside of Naruto, as Bee called it; Naruto's vessel was filled not with the love of one but 2 people. This is so nicely done by Kishi it makes me smile
Also I REALLY want to use this moment to say that Orochimaru was the one using Edo Tensei on the Kage - Kabuto stated that HIS version of the Edo Tensei brought people back in their primes, Orochimaru's did not (hence the First/Second in their fight against Hiruzen losing back in the day). So this could explain why Minato is weaker in the 4th ninja war.
No earlier he summoned them with caskets later on he summons them with the reaper death seal literally cutting out their souls and freeing them into a body. There's a reason why the hokage are alot stronger in the war then in the orchimaru/hiruzen fight.
This One Shot was crazy to read, it was amazing imo but there are a bunch of things that makes little sense, like scaling 11-14 Yo Minato to Hashirama and scaling Minato's just learnt Rasengan to Full Kurama Bijuu Dama, I like the explanation for Kurama's chakra being suppressed by Kushina's Adamantine Chain, it makes mostly sense if the Anime add is canon, otherwise Idk how to explain it.
For the statement "Minato scaling somehow to Hashirama" I think Kurama was talking about his potential, like "Minato's potential is somewhere around Hashirama's, considering that Minato is just 11-14, and if he continues growing he might catch on to Hashirama", that's what I think at least.
And btw Kushina tells something that you didn't say, that Minato is very fast at learning jutsu, she says "it's also true that Minato learn things very quickly", and considering that Minato's potential is similar to Hashirama's (If we consider what I said before true), is "normal" for him at the age of 11-14 knowing the FTG, assuming he trained for it for a bunch of years while learning Sealing techniques (And we can also assume that it took 3 years for Minato to learn Rasengan 'cause while he was creating it, he was also learning sealing techniques)

The way I took the Manga was that this is Minato at the start of the 3 years. He's created the general idea of the Rasengan but now has to spend 3 years perfecting it (how much Chakra to put in, how to use it in combat, possible modifications like Jiraiya's Big Ball Rasengan, etc.)
Minato is weaker in Edo form because it was only half of his Chakra, he sealed half of his Chakra in the reaper death seal and half in Naruto. Only the half in the reaper seal was revived.
Also his arms were taken off early in the fight, he was told that his body would regenerate to any damage taken so he was going to use that to his advantage and basically wasn't worried about being hit. And then they learned that the attack used prevented him regenerating... basically they permanently removed Minatos arms because he would be too powerful for the plot
I believe the two random shinobi from the first page are not random. They remind me of the genins that are near Minato and Jiraya on the photo of Jiraya‘s genin team. One of them is definitely an Uchiha.
The uchiha on minatos team was Mikoto (sasukes mom) and the other was Choza Akimichi(chojis father) so that’s incorrect
If a jinchuriki uses their talked beasts chakra without their consent then are they a perfect jinchuriki? Naruto could go into kcm1 without Kurama's consent, but that didn't make Naruto a perfect jinchuriki. Just because we see Roshi using the transformation doesn't mean that Son Goku was allowing it to happen.
It actually took Minato 3 years to invent the Rasengan then like another year or 2 to Master it.
I dont remember if we ever see a rasengan clash with a pure chakra juitsu like this in Naruto, but i guess the implication is that the rasengan is the natural counter to a tailed beast bomb?
Like if an alakazam used water gun against a rhydon. Yeah its a basic move, but the person using it has high base stats and the recipient is specifically super weak to that type of thing.
So I don't think Minatos rasengan could level a city, I just think most of his talent was in his extremely intimate understanding of how chakra works.

Maybe the 3 years were for adding chakra nature. Kakashi did mention that adding nature was the end goal.
My assumption was that they were drawn older to make us the reader immediately know who they were. As there is a panel where Minato looks so much like Naruto, which makes sense, but I could see it being confusing to some readers. Especially if we were to think about it being much shorter as it was intended.

It takes place in the 3rd great Shinobi world war tho, which means Minato is probably about 16 or 17 at this point considering that in one panel Kakashi, Guy and Obito can be seen in the background.

Itachi by the databook was 11 years old when he killed the Uchiha clan and entered Akatsuki, but by his appearance he looked like he was about 16-17 years old, I just accepted the fact that Kishimoto doesn't match the appearance of the characters very well with their age.

The most unrealistic thing about the manga is that the Rasengan can clash with a massive Bijuu bomb and still saved Kushina in her Bijuu mode.

keep in mind throughout the story we see every generation of young ninjas having a rival., jiraya and orochimaru, kakashi and obito or might gai, naruto and sasuke, itachi and shisui, but we never saw anyone rivaling minato in his young age nor his adult age, nobody can get close to minato in strength, even hashirama had madara as a rival , tobirama another uchiha as a rival and won, hiruzen i dont know about him, that shows the strength if minato, best ninja in naruto history, screw boruto cringe fest .

I honestly think Naruto's story was so compelling because it covered so much of the past as well as the present.
It invested a ton of time into world building and showing us events from well before Naruto was even born.
But because of that, I'm not sure any prequel going over these events will really ever feel quite as compelling, regardless of how much they flesh it out...
Im sure it could also introduce flashbacks to events we haven't seen before, but if it sticks primarily in the present, it's just showing us detailed versions of events we already know or introduce ones that werent exactly relevant to the story of Naruto going forward.
And if they try to introduce new, highly impactful events we didn't previously know about, they run the risk of conflicting with canon, or open up a ton of holes in why characters never mentioned any of these things before.
They could also go over other events like uzumakis massacre in way more detail and the dissaperence of the senju’s

Maybe the rasengan spinning in both directions counter a specific rotation, like how the beyblade( L drago I think it was called) that spins the other direction counters normal spin in that anime?
Another note about why Minato was weaker as an Edo is the fact that he was heavily conflicted by the appearance of his student as the big bad. This kind of nerfed his performance throughout, as it does most characters in the show.
