Here's an issue I've got with the definition of "Kekkei Genkai". It literally translates as "blood-line trait", but in the anime its explained as a "combination of 2 chakra natures". Then what two natures make up ocular jutsus? Or Kaguya clans jutsu? Jugo's nature energy? There are more kekkei genkais then there are nature transformations, even if we include yin and yang being mixed with the basic 5.
Ocular are bloodline. But not exactly any chakra nature. Those are pure genetics. Because think about it. What chakra nature would Sharigan be? Can’t tell. Although when higher levels of sharigan are unlocked they unlock unique abilities to that person specifically.

The author should have kept that simple definition, it just made things messy by trying to make things sound complex and smart... It makes the concept of clans way more coherent and cool, especially when thinking about the lost ''Kekkei Genkais'' that built Konoha (Wood style, Adamantine sealing chains and Sharingan) because we know they are lost for ever... It doesn't make sense to bring chakra natures there because that means that every special ability related to a clan is used with a combo of chakras, like Shino's. Don't tell me that when Shino is comanding his bugs it is a combination of air and earth haha! It should have been a simple and rare talent that goes off the charts, like in the begining, which would have made the concepts of ''protecting your clan's jutsus'' and ''destroying the body of the fallen'' way more coherent and powerful. But it's still a very cool idea to do combos like that, so it would have been nice to separate the two ideas or regulate it better so that it would make more sense

The sand he controlled out of his gourd was mixed with blood and blood has iron in it therefore it would make it possible for him to control that sand if it was mixed with iron. But some types of sand also have iron mixed in it naturally and that could be what he’s using.

Sharingan users cant predict the future. When kakashi did that against zabuza that was him using genjutsu to influence zabuza to use the same jutsu as kakashi at the same time, making zabuza think kakashi could predict the future.

Garra didn't get his sand from shukaku, it was his mother's sand release. We learn this during the 4th war when he talks with his reincarnated dad

No the byakugan has to be intensively trained for it to be activated. Hyashi said so himself in Boruto

Another reason why magnet release would be used for sand is the opposite, I always assumed that it was sand manipulation that evolved into magnet release, at least when you apply electric chakra to the jitsu that already allowed you to manipulate sand

Didn't Hiruzen use mud release in his battle against Orochimaru, I distinctively recall seeing it on the roof they battled on, he even used a mud dragon jutsu which he combined with fire style
