Thank you so much. I am in Ludington MI. It is so helpful to watch and learn from ppl who garden in my same planting zone. Your yard and pictures are beautiful.

The people from Humble Roots seem like really cool & nice folks. I'm down in Portland if you go to Sauvie's Island (very low lying area), the Oak Island Nature Preserve there, snowberry is absolutely the dominant understory in the oak groves, it is very successful (and it gets pretty hot there in the summertime too so might be a good one for the future). I have this in my yard and I have not seen anything eat the berries yet --I'm in an urban area though so maybe there just aren't enough of them to make a forage trip worth it? Or maybe they get more palatable as the winter goes on I don't know. Their bloom time isn't super long but when it's blooming it is very attractive to bees from what I've seen.
