What you called "brigadeiro", actually it's more like an other dessert called "trufa", but probably with filling of "brigadeiro". The real brigadeiro it's just the condensend milk with chocolate, butter, all this cooked, and with sprinkles. Brigadeiro don't have a hard chocolate layer outside.
In case you guys want to stay more in Brazil it`s possible to extend the visas. It`s a very simple process. I am brazilian but my wife is british. She did this once and it worked very well.

Wow...amzing to see news from Bahia... I'm brazilian from Fortaleza, living in Germany and heading to Fortaleza in two weeks, also visting Salvador in January...I love Acarajé...not easy to make it, but very delicious :o))
Not the best time to do so... They will need to take a Ferry or a small sail boat (named ‘lancinha’) to get there and back. Because of the holidays and the pandemic you can’t buy tickets in advance and there’s been reports of long unorganized lines on the boarding terminals.
If you guys have the chance, go to Chapada Diamantina (Lençóis) It’s quite a long way from Salvador ( about 5 hours by bus) but it’s absolutely stunning. Tons of waterfalls and nice walks. Completely different scenery. Worth a visit if you have the time. Loads of affordable bed & breakfast and considering the current situation you could probably haggle prices.

Hey guys! I’m glad you enjoyed Acarajé and Abara. About staying only 90 days here in Brazil: It’s very easy to extend that time. All you need to do if fill out a form, pay a fee (around $20 each) and go to a federal police station. You don’t need to give any reasons to have +90 days. This can come out handy once you’re still going to Amazon and it’s a big region to explore. I hope I’ll get some tips with you about north of Brazil cuz it’s a region that I also want to explore and I think it’s very rich. Thank you very much for promoting our country in this worst year for tourism in Brazil. Millions of people depend on tourism to survive and the pandemic leaves them without work and sustenance. You with your nice videos do more than governments and government people are paid to promote our national tourism. Merry Christmas
Awesome moments guys! Please be carefull if you really plan to go South, cases are skyrocketing aroudnd there, more than other regions. Ps: You have to go to the Dunas (Lençois Maranhenses) at Maranhão state (kind of brazilian desert mixed up with lots of paradisiac oasis) Be safe!

Q&A: Will you guys visit Lençois Maranhenses? And what are you guys thinking about all those new brazilian subs you all get, you think they will be interested in things that are not about brazil?
"Acarajé" is just the dough, made of mashed beans and onion and fried in dendê oil. But is very tradicional to cut the Acarajé in the middle made a sandwich-like with Vatapá de Camarão (Shrimp vatapá) that is a creamy filling made of bread, coconut milk and dried shrimp.

I love "acarajé", but I prefer "abará" and the best place to try acarajé for us soteropolitanos (who are born in Salvador) is in the bohemian neighborhood of Rio Vermelho, you can't miss visiting, the historic center where you are staying It is a highly touristic spot and currently with the pandemic it's like Praia do Forte, only tourists come
You guys should try a place called "Point do Bode" or "Bar do Nei" (two names, same place). It's a little far from where u're staying, but it's one of the best meat in the city. Go for lunch and try the bode (goat meat), cupim (beef cut) and/or picanha (top sirloin).
Hi guys, you should go to Morro de São Paulo, the best beach here in Bahia, 3 hours from Salvador. The place is beautiful and it’s like all the energy is reloaded when you arrive there. Hugs 😬
Nice video as always guys! You are going to love Northeast and the Amazon. Try to visit Jericoacoara, a singular beach Town in the State of Fortaleza. In the Amazon you must come to the city heart of the rainforest. Manaus. From here you are going to be able to experience the best of the Amazon. Have a nice one!
I suppose the churches are closed due to covid, there is an incredible church there in Salvador called Igreja de São Francisco, it is all covered on gold, highly recommend the visit. For future travels, as you are planning to go south, an idea is to visit Bonito, an amazing city with gorgeous nature. I am from the south and we have also beautiful beaches in Santa Catarina state, as well as, the mountains. A lot of options 😁
Brigadeiro is chewey, with the same consistency throughout the bite, and softer all around. It looks to me what you just sampled are Bon Bons, a French sweet delicacy the Brazilians adopted as one of their own. Anyhow, your gal is a gift to your audience. Glad seeing you are taking her “about town “. You can tell by her eyes she is relishing the moment. You both are like peas and carrots.
I've found out your channel a few days ago and I just can't get enough of your videos. Thank you for the respectful way you're depicting the country, I hope your experience here just keeps getting better and better. Cheers from Brasília/DF!
You guys have to go to Lençóis Maranhenses (located in the state of Maranhão, in the Northeast) it's a natural "desert" with a lot of white sand dunes with lakes between. It's a paradise and one of the most beautiful thing on earth.
Q&A: Which is your favorite brazilian food so far? Do you earn less money with brazilian folowers than with the american ones? How does youtube monetize the videos in diferent countries? Do you consider coming back to Brasil after the 3 months visa?

Q & A: how did you two meet? Love your videos, I’ve been binge watching them for the last 48 hours. You definitely made me want to go back to Colombia and visit Brazil, Peru, Mexico City, South Dakota and Minnisota!
You need to try the ice cream from A Cubana (there's one in the Elevator Lacerda and one in Pelourinho), the best burgers in Brazil, from Bravo (at Porto da Barra and others places), drink some kinds of cachaça in O Cravinho (in Pelourinho). There's a very nice coffee shop nearby Pelourinho, it's called Cafélier, next to Convento do Carmo. Hope you can go to Chapada Diamantina and/or Barra Grande.
6:00 so this food that you are eating, is also i big thing in the Caribbean..we call it it Coconut Cake...basically shaved coconut with a sweet simple syrup and baked and you just eat it...lots of sugar as you said...but yummy. 9:45 sugar rush in one day...lol.

Very Nice couple! Congratulations for your vídeos!
Q&A: Do you intend going to Foz do Iguaçu? It's in Paraná, the state is in the South of Brazil. If you decide, you're going to see the most beautiful falls in the world! Besides that, you can be in Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina at the same time, because it's a triple boarding countries.
You guys have to go to the Praia da Barra and wacth a sunset from the Farol da Barra, its beautiful!
Q & A: how did you two meet?
Love your videos, I’ve been binge watching them for the last 48 hours. You definitely made me want to go back to Colombia and visit Brazil, Peru, Mexico City, South Dakota and Minnisota!
We will answer this soon, good question. :)
@@lindseyfw2903 ruclips.net/video/UzIKndEwwDY/видео.html I just. found that. You guys are the cutest. ☺️ definitely would love to know more.
Estou amando viver essa aventura junto com vcs!!
Como poderia dar os parabéns para vocês? Vocês formam um lindo casa que Deus abençoe sempre vocês.
Merry Christmas Alex and Lindsey!! Tell us how you spend Christmas in Brazil.
The acaraje is very special, the COCADA is very big !!!! Delicius . Love the place.
6:00 so this food that you are eating, is also i big thing in the Caribbean..we call it it Coconut Cake...basically shaved coconut with a sweet simple syrup and baked and you just eat it...lots of sugar as you said...but yummy. 9:45 sugar rush in one day...lol.
This one, cocada, is not baked, we melt the sugar and add the coconut, mix until it gets thick, shape it and let it dry.
