That Maxi looked so lost.
That's the easiest thing to do with maxi cause all his moves just flow into the next. It's like I love him, but people who just pick him up and use him like that make people like me look bad.
@@Jojotheprocrastinator If they fight anyone who actually blocks though just pressing buttons will get Maxi stomped. His default block strings end in some of the most negative moves I have ever seen lol
@@risethevillaingaming2901 true, but he just works best against either clueless people, or people who will miss time like one parry. Once you mess that up maxi like gets in the groove. Other than that if your timing is good he's easy to read and his pauses are his weakness. He looks a bit faster here than scv

Makes him more intriguing that he was cloud. Didn't know that. Honestly was going to get the game. Now after beta I'm not sure. I like Cervantes & Taki but I would make a created character with maxi moveset. Hate how maxi looks. Prob wait for a sale no doubt.

Soul Calibur 6 plot: So, well it's the plot of the original Soul Calibur from 20 years ago (aka there is also a GOOD sword: the game) only this time the time line seems different due to opening up the realm of Astral Chaos in Soul Calibur 5... and this new character appears who might be a time traveller ... and...
This makes me wonder what custom characters are gonna do when they soul charge. Is it just going to be glowing sword or will they have body effects too?
I imagine it'll be exactly the same as their playstyle character's.
@@Orrenn I could see that for nightmare and maybe groh with his hair color change and glowing eye, but what about kilik who gets crazy necali hair? That'd look hella weird if your character was bald and suddenly sprouts anime hair
I dont think custom characters will get kilik and groh transformations. Most likely just the aura from the soul charge.

I don't think I much of Grøh's character design, but I love his fighting style.
I loved playing with Groh during the Beta. I got most of my wins with him. I got up to 6 in a row with him and some good BP. It was hard figuring him out. I activated him in demon form a couple times but don’t know exactly what I did to do it. Also I knew how to split the swords but don’t know or figure out if you can keep them split. I know he’s going to be dope once I figure him out. He can teleport also.

Going to be a long two weeks til this comes out. Groh, I think i might main him, just hope the seigfried's, mitsurugi's, and other legacy characters don't come at me too hard on that first day
I also had a chance to play Groh in the beta, he is alot of fun and truthfully I was never bothered by Soul Caliburs more anime look at later games but I will admit that Groh's design was a little overboard mostly with those hair highlights. Thankfully we can customize his look I would change the color of his purple gauntlet to match the one he is wearing on his right hand and if the game would let me change his default hair color to all black and when he transforms make it white, I feel like doing that would still give him the anime edge lord look without going overboard.

Groh’s design may look simple but refreshing to see. Sometimes, simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. I might actually buy the game just to play his character.
There's actually quite a lot of detail taken as well. Notice how when he soul charges his shoulder paldron breaks off and stays off for the remainder of the fight. This character is the poster boy for this games new mechanics.

Favourite character including maxi as mostly he has long combos if you use his weapon then detach it again and his super is a suprise attack

Lewis Erison he has another form alongside his super.And as long as you know the range of the blade you change to short range and attack faster when dettaching and carry on a combo be using the long then short swords

The only thing that pisses me off about Groh is that Namco/Bandai has been trying to replace Setsuka's umbrella -sword style since Soul Calibur 5, just so that the male characters look more masculine using her style. When instead they should have just left that a female fighting style like Xianghua
I've noticed everyone uses CE the same way they do in Tekken 7. Like, you can easily chain into it. I've seen it done and for as much damage as they do, you SHOULD chain into them.

I know this is just me but I don't think I will ever understand, or come to terms with anyway, the way people use the terms "anime" and "edge/edgy" nowadays. Just seem so generalized and twisted at this point.
Oh well, could be worse I suppose.
At least the game is shaping up rather nicely. Unfortunately, I think I've fallen off the "Soul Calibur" train a while back, sometime after "IV", and nothing has really managed to get me back on it but this still looks neat enough as far as I can tell. It's nice when a series thought to be dead makes a return like this.

Groh is the definition of a chuunibyou character and I love it
I like that he has stance Cancels. Can't wait to learn some sick stuff with this character.

I feel sad for all your opponents but you are to experienced for this playing game in the most hardest difficulty then it works

I can't tell if he cuts himself, or he just pulls his sword back & powers up. Believe it's the latter, actually, because his metal arm breaks after charging.
He's still the most anime in this game, although Nightmare might beat him in Soul Edge-iness.

I haven't played too much of this series. What's with the custom characters being referred to as "Soul of *Insert character name*" I think it's cool, but I was wondering if there's a story reason for that.
@@totaldestruction152 there is not really a story reason it's just that in Soul Calibur you have the ability to create a character using any character's fighting style in the game. In the past that selection was called soul of blank and that's all people are referring to.
I bet we'll see a lot of Kains online using Groh's style.

Do you need a fight stick to get good at this game or can you be fine using a console controller?
I can't say much for fight stick as I personally don't have one myself, but controllers work just fine in my experience. People may say otherwise, but I think it's just a matter of preference.
