Minus the scope, I’ve got mine as well a 1977 760👌🏻👍🏻

Time to dig in and rebuild! I added a rifled barrel, Mellon FT valve and piston, trigger work, Buck Rail moderator, fun accurate lil toy!

Try tuning the scope . Use windage as the height

That's really cool man! I have an old 760 also, but without a scope. Also mine is a smooth bore but it still shoots really, really well. I heard that some of them had a rifled barrel but I have no idea what years they were. Mine is from about '84 or so and it still works great, just leaks a little bit but if you get the shot off quickly, it's no big deal.

Thanks! It was really nice to shoot it again today. I’d think in ‘84 they’d still have a rifled barrel? I’m pretty certain the current 760’s are smooth bores but I don’t know when they made the change?

@@airgunsofalaska Yeah I don't know when they made the change to smooth bore either. I got mine at an estate sale a few years ago, but I don't know how old it is. But I do know it's a smooth bore, you can see it when you look down the barrel. But it still shoots surprisingly well with pellets, and it shoots BB's very straight too

@@trevorjameson3213 After reading your first comment I checked the barrel on mine to make sure it was rifled and it was. I’m now curious to see if I can research when they made the change?

It is like meeting up with an old friend when you find your old 760 you had as a kid, and shooting it again after all those years I bet. I have three 760's. My oldest is an 8th variant. It is my most accurate, but also my slowest. Still, the one I like the best, because it is more fun to shoot (I like the old block pump handle), and the speed decrease isn't that significant.

I’m so glad I didn’t get rid of mine! So many memories when I hold it and shoot it.

Cool classic niiiiice Way better scopes at that times very durable. Rust can happen of different climate changes it gets sweaty

I just cleaned the barrel last night for the first time ever in 42 years. 😂
I’m thinking of trying to shim the original scope to compensate for the maxed out windage. It’s really cool to shoot something like how it’d have been in the early 80’s.
