Guys have been running 8s at stock wheel base for many years on the s1000. You guys are a little behind.....
I dont think you should compare SA tracks to the rest of the world if you don't know our tracks. This is the fastest NA bike on African continent running a 8.50sec 1/4mile
This is on a track that is more than 1700m/5500ft altitude. With an NA motor you're losing at least 10-15% power due to it.
