I've made this so many times! It's much more fun making ice cream at home :). Instead of matcha I switch it out for other things like cinnamon or mint. ;D
can you make this without an ice cream maker? or will the texture turn out completely different? and will the flavor be different? Thank you! I've already tried the quinoa and oat waffles and they turned out amazing! I didn't think they would be so fluffy on the inside
+HatashiLuvsU I think he always has a kitchen scale placed under the blender/bowl. At least, I've seen what looks like a kitchen scale under the blender in many of his videos. You can see it in this video too at 1:06 :)
Yeah! I've noticed that in some of his other videos but it's still really cool to watch him toss ingredients in haphazardly and pour stuff really quick without having to take the time and pour it into a measuring cup :)
Yeah, I love how creative his recipes are with all the substitutions for non-vegan ingredients. They all look super delicious and I hope to make some of them.
Yeah finally the another great flavor of ice cream.Like i said i tasted black sesame,Matcha and wasabi flavours Ice creams that i bought in a supermarket but i didnt see again.😁
Because of the low fat milk used (e.g. soy milk, cashews) and the absence of cream and eggs, the end result was ice cream that was not smooth and rich enough. Look at how he scraped the ice cream after it was frozen. His recipe still looks reasonable for a vegan version though.
Ahhh, I am so happy that I found this channel! Your desserts look amazing and I love that they use healthier and natural ingredients. Too much gluten and refined sugars from normal store bought sweets gives me headaches. Although, I am not a vegan, I try very hard to eat healthy. I have already made your avocado-chocolate tart for a clean cheat treat (which was great, btw, my mom and I both liked it.) Also your videos are so relaxing and very clear its directions....only I don't have a scale, so I convert the measurements and hope for the best ^.^.
Thank you I have been looking for different vegan alternatives for ice cream since my younger sister is not a big fan of milk but she does love her soy milk :). I will be trying this out in the near future and will post if it was a yay or a nay ;D.
Hi, your videos are all so awesome! There's one question about this recipe. If i dont have an ice cream maker, can i use the same method as how you do your chocolate ice cream? Like freeze it overnight then chop into pieces and blend till smooth and then place in the fridge for few hours? thanks
+Chia Kang Yee hey, do u know why ice cream is still tender even though we put it in refrigerator for long time? the key is oxi, mixing with suitable percent, I think that is principal of ice cream maker. so I guess u can try with mixer :"))
Can't wait to try this, interesting you used coconut oil instead of coconut milk, is there a huge difference? How come you always use starch? Im a new subscriber i love your videos thanks :)
vanillahugz There isn't a huge difference between coconut oil and coconut water. I need to put fatty ingredients to make ice cream more delicious, so I choose coconut oil. Why I use starch is to make mixture thicker. that helps to prevent ice cream from melting quickly. and...Thank you for subscribing;)

Waiting for my Maccha powder to start the recipes :)
Thanks for your video! I really dont like to use egg , whipping cream, butter and the other kind of cow milk to make ice-cream.Your video help me too much. Can i ask u a question? You use roasted cashews or un-roasted?
Just curious, have you try using frozen banana as a substitution to make ice cream? I think one of the only issue with banana is that it would brown after a period of time, but I think it would be interesting if you try it. :)
BlueCarnation I often make banana ice cream especially in summer. cut frozen bananas into pieces and put them into a blender container and add milk and other ingredients to add flavor then blend. quick yummy ice cream;) but the mixture is so sticky that I actually ruined one of my vitamix container though. lol
It's actually spelled, "matcha powder". Please be careful as some foreigners can get confused with maca which is a special root that is in the form of powder.
Yang Hyoni umm that's kind of hard to answer. I bought some macho powder from the united states but all the maccha powder tastes terrible. I think you can find good quality one but at the moment, I don't have any information about it. sorry to tell you.
Ryora, awesome video. Thank you for all the recipes. I just switched to a plant-based diet recently and definitely in need of new ideas :). By the way, can I use something else instead of cashew nut (or any sort of nut at all?). Cashew and almond are ridiculously expensive here and I'm thinking of venturing with butter beans, or tofu or something...
Kim Dang If you don't mind to use processed oil, just replace cashew nuts with any kind of less flavor oil:) You can use butter beans or tofu but they have less fat than nuts or oil. try recipe below if you like. oil 100g tofu 400g soy milk 300g sweetener 200g maccha powder 1 - 2 tbls and you don't need to heat this up. just blend and put it into ice cream maker:)
I like your videos btw. What ice cream maker do you use? Im thinking of buying one myself but I dont know which one to buy that isnt super expensive...
Have you ever made banana ice cream? can you tell me the plus minus of banana ice cream compare to soymilk based ice cream? i need your answer. thankyou for helping
xiaopengyou13 umm... honey and maple syrup have strong flavor so it could overwhelm maccha flavor. so I'd use light maple syrup or blend honey with less flavor sweetener. but if you like the taste of maple or honey, you can use only itself.

WhiteRose20000 Thank you:)
One question do you soak the casuw nuts and so yes for how long must they soak? Love the recipe and the video 👏🏽👋🏼👍🏼✌🏽😁🤤😉
I'm still so impressed at how he can eyeball measurements. I still second guess the actual measuring cup on some recipes lol
Yeah agreed :) He's obviously really skilled at cooking.
Yeah, I love how creative his recipes are with all the substitutions for non-vegan ingredients. They all look super delicious and I hope to make some of them.

Very good

I heard macha is very healthy; is this true?
Yes! It's from green tea which is very high in antioxidants and I believe matcha is even higher in antioxidants
Absolutely, it's green tea leaves ground into a very fine powder. It's quite expensive though;;
It looks wawooo
Thanks for your video! I really dont like to use egg , whipping cream, butter and the other kind of cow milk to make ice-cream.Your video help me too much.

*drool* Maccha ice cream...and no bananas in it? Oh heck yes!
It's actually spelled, "matcha powder". Please be careful as some foreigners can get confused with maca which is a special root that is in the form of powder.
Again r u vegan? Luv this recipe by the way keep on cooking u inspire me
beautiful green tea color! Do you know where can I find good quality green tea in the States? Thanks.
Yang Hyoni umm that's kind of hard to answer. I bought some macho powder from the united states but all the maccha powder tastes terrible. I think you can find good quality one but at the moment, I don't have any information about it. sorry to tell you.
Yang Hyoni amazon...
how long we can keep it in refrigerator? thankyou
These days more than half of the world must be at home. Watch and do the things in this video that make sense
Ryora, awesome video. Thank you for all the recipes. I just switched to a plant-based diet recently and definitely in need of new ideas :). oil 100g
tofu 400g
soy milk 300g
sweetener 200g
maccha powder 1 - 2 tbls
and you don't need to heat this up. just blend and put it into ice cream maker:)
could you do the melon bun? cant find eggless....please please!
Can't wait to try and make this! I was just wondering, are the cashews raw and unsalted? Or does it matter? Thank you.
Yes. Cashews should be raw unsalted
can you do a video JUST about matcha?!
is there any other option for not using ice cream maker? because it's hard to find in my country.
what is that blender thingy called that you have, not the ice cream maker in the beginning when you mixed the cashews etc.
+Vanessa Harper That's a Vitamixer
is there any alternative to cashew nuts? can't use any nuts because allergy :(
Why dont we heat the whole mixture with the kudzu starch and only half? So we cool it faster?
could I use coconut water instead of just water?
I like your videos btw. What ice cream maker do you use? Im thinking of buying one myself but I dont know which one to buy that isnt super expensive...
Mewa C cuisinart, 1.5 liter capacity one. It was less than $100 I remember:)
Can i use Almond milk instead?
Water is totally unnecessary in this recipe. Just use almond / soy /coconut milk and it'll taste even better.
pouria pakniat I think you're right. I soaked my cashews. Wish I would have seen this before making.
Have you ever made banana ice cream? can you tell me the plus minus of banana ice cream compare to soymilk based ice cream? i need your answer. thankyou for helping
it so delious.i want to little tasty
Whats your favorite blender?
can i use cocoa powder instead of matcha powder
Hey! what do you think of using honey or maple syrup as a sweetener alternative to agave for this recipe? :)
xiaopengyou13 umm... honey and maple syrup have strong flavor so it could overwhelm maccha flavor. so I'd use light maple syrup or blend honey with less flavor sweetener. but if you like the taste of maple or honey, you can use only itself.
Can you make a banana vegan ice cream instead of the matcha can you make any vegan ice cream
So eu li maconha ice cream?
Are you a professional chef?
