I bought the rover set two days ago and since I love it and don’t know where to put it is now a problem since I have airplane models displayed on a place where it can be at can not.
An entertaining and well done video as usual Josh. I was thinking about possibly picking up this set because I love space…it would be my first Technic set(been collecting since 2012 and have yet to buy a Technic set)you’re review has definitely convinced me this is something I need in my collection.
The functional technic components are a little complicated but the end result justifies the complication. I think the instructions for this one were pretty straight-forward so don't let the Technic discourage you.
It's science!!! Watch the documentary about the rover and print out some fun interesting activities relating to it, then surprise them both with the set!!
While the look/design itself doesn't spark intense intrigue in me, I can most certainly respect and applaud the accuracy and functionality when compared to the actual rover! Not gonna lie, space scares me! But the other LEGO sets certainly don't as I have the NASA Apollo 11 Lunar Lander at the top of my list of "wants" from LEGO! One of your best and most informative reviews to date! I think it may have something to do with this being one of your favorites? Maybe? 😎
Great review. I was on the fence about this, as I've been veering away from technic, but I've put this back on my list. I imagine it will be on shelves for a while, so I'll wait for a discount, but I'll definitely pick it up eventually.
🎉great video ! I just built the five dollar perseverance Mars Rover and now I want to get this one and I want to learn more about the NASA program to Mars you nailed it. It’s all about getting involved with the build learning from it and loving it.
Actually I work at cornell engineering and we have one of the 3 rovers that were made. Cornell helped troubleshoot issues. This lego kit isn’t bad at all.
I built this set when I was 10 lol, it took me 3 days. I actually remember finding this set not that hard, I built it a couple months ago (I’m now 11) my friend got it as well.👍
I wasn't in to LEGO for many years. I recently came back, because of HPotter sets. As a result i entered the shop I got all the botanicals, and some Technic's offcourse :) so much that in over two weeks i came back home with 4 sets of the micro rocket launchpad, which i consider a big plus to the decision to return to my beloved child game. I left them waithing for a good rainy day to open them. I love NASA, I love Mars, so naturally i love Perseverance. I am now with the book, checking YT for good videos while i research the set.. And can you imagine my surprise?? Stickers! Stickers everywhere! It is LEGO in it's true form. But wow, no stickers in to the Botanicals so i didn't expect that. 3x times the price of the not cheap on the first place flowers, but Stickers! Stickers people. They are everywhere. Over the launchpad, over the rover..??? Sorry, this is new for me and so confusing.
Best lego content / reviews on RUclips. Seems alot of new Or previous established lego RUclipsrs are trying to copy Josh with dialogue. But it doesn’t come through like this always well written dialogue Josh puts out. This channel should be top content. All others are dull and just boring. Great editing and video quality as always.
fun fact: the power source is nuclear decay of plutonium. the decay (or)/(half life) pretty aure its a long decay but slow unlike uranium-362 or any number of electrons or newtons.
@No0dl I built this set when I was 10 too! I finished it in 7 hours. Actually. Seven hours. And the same thing goes for me I didn’t think it was that hard!
Such a great set and price. Lots of playability and interactivity with the AR. And educational too. Can’t wait to get this. Thanks for the awesome review!
I'm getting this set for Christmas and I'm very excited. Back in May I built the Ford GT, which was my first full-blown Technic set, and I had a blast.
I'm in the process of building the rover. It's challenging yet very satisfying. I give assemblies to schools about rockets and robots including our exploration of Mars. The thing about this model is running out of one part repeatedly. The parts are the small black connector pieces. They did not include enough in the model kit. In fact, I've just ordered more of these little connectors in order to complete the set. Has anyone else run into this problem? Please let me know.
Yeah ofcourse, I am not doubting that, girls, women, anyone in between can become anything they want. Maybe my reaction was a bit sour. I just think the "inclusive" language is sometimes a bit much when we have perfectly good words for things.
The only thing keeping me from getting this set is the lack of space to display it.
🤣
Man I just got this set for christmas and I have nowhere to put it 😭 might as well put it in a box so it doesn't yellow
Eyyyyyyyyy👉

yes.. kids plus dad with similar likes... WORTH EVERY PENNY! How I justify buying to the wife now! haha

Great review. Love the extra knowledge thrown at us.

R.I.P. Ingenuity
Dude the age thing does matter, I honestly don’t care if there a set that say 18+ I don’t have to be 18 to build a lego set
I am going to buy this but I will need to disable one of my other sets to make room
Actually I work at cornell engineering and we have one of the 3 rovers that were made. Cornell helped troubleshoot issues. This lego kit isn’t bad at all.
That's amazing. After building this I would love to see one of the real ones in person.
Great review. My 10 year old son built this on his own, so it can be done.
Also, I have not been able to get that app to work. Any tips on that?

what are those massive super cars on the wall, is that a set, it looks huge, love your jokes

My battery is low and it’s getting dark.
I have to say you are funny AF, I think you missed your'e calling as a stand up comedian 😂

Awesome funny video
Great job with the puns
Amazing set
The review I’ve been for. Fantastically informative. Thanks
I put my name on Mars 🙃

Great review and awesome set, I will be picking this up.
So many jokes in this video btw F for ingenuity ❤️❤️💔
Review would have been better without the cringe jokes. Just saying.
I'm getting this set for Christmas and I'm very excited. Back in May I built the Ford GT, which was my first full-blown Technic set, and I had a blast.
I build this set today. It was definitely one of the more complex ones I've done, but so worth it. I even bought it at a discount.
Does this work offline?? I want to get this but I need the app features to work without cell service or wifi
Thanks for your witty and entertaining reviews Josh 😊
Mine was missing a part so I have to wait to finish it. :(
wow! so cool! i've been wanting this :(
Love technic. Great value and insanely creative builds
im 7 And im building it 1:10
My name is on that chip

Technic is my favorite, with Creator as 2nd. I do like Icons, but they cost too much. I don't buy sets well over $200.
A good review and a shout out the the masterpiece that is Powerwash Simulator!
Another geat review Josh! You think you could do a review of the new Marvel cmf coming out soon?
I've actually found a few of the figures around me already so maybe!
I want to paint her hair ribbons red and her hair roses black.
4:14 the rovers relied on solar panels not solar systems
what's the depth on those floating shelves?
Wow amazing review! You did an awesome job comparing the two rovers.
I got this for my 10th birthday
name and advertisement drops throughout the whole video sucks
booo. I love cinnamon crunch
£68 worth it?
Great video!
1 year mark for 2 weeks qurantine 🤣
please reduce the puns by 75%
You must be fun at parties
You mean mankind right... right? Humankind, is that even a word?
It's 2023, girls can go to space too. Just kidding. Humankind worked better with the alliteration and I love a good alliteration.
