Make It Extreme super powerful pneumatic Crossbow next? Big enough to hunt rhinos and Elephants? Maybe hunt an occasional Mother-in-law, too? 😂😂
@@FarmerFpvngaco😅😅😅
Incogni will not give you the discounted cost until you create an account! They have a published rate but what is the discounted rate? Sound like they want your information to do with as they please regardless if you sign up. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. No thanks!
That's a pretty sweet build! You should try 'self-fusing silicone tape'. It was invented by the US Air Force to protect the wiring in their fighter planes. You can look up MIL Spec MIL-I-46852 / A-A-59163 for what makes it such an incredible addition to your tool box. Personally, I've used it for everything from simply wrapping wires to making custom tool grips to sealing a city-pressure water line until I could get it fixed. (It's fairly soft, so wrapping it with electrical/duct/etc. tape where it might get abraded is a good idea.)
Support from pakistan ❤ excellent work
I built a very similar tool a couple years back that attaches to my cordless drill. It holds 2 rolls 180° from each other. Makes cool candy cane patterns with different color tape!
Must be great for re-wrapping sporting equipment 👍
You could make custom team coloured designed for baseball, hockey, cricket, la Crosse etc etc
I was thinking about making something like that.
Got a link to anything similar?
Could we stop a second to appreciate how much it takes to make videos like this? The knowledge and experience in mechanics, the investment in absurdly expensive equipment, the sheer ideas and willpower to execute them consistently to keep a RUclips channel going for so long, editing, drawing, assembly, design, testing, problem-solving, I can't even imagine everything else that is required in a channel like this. Holy crap man! I hope RUclips treats you right because you deserve it! Congratulations!
The best kind of engineering... spending several days making a tool that saves you a few minutes on a job... and you do that job maybe a half dozen times a year! Love it (and yes, I'm guilty of this too)!!! We do it because we can!
Hahaha. The reenactment of the frustrations that go along with manually taping cords together was definitely a great hook!
Nice work, and an excellent tool as-is!
Future upgrades to consider (or for others looking to implement something similar):
1. A microswitch that continues to run the motor after the trigger is released until the opening aligns.
2. Make the angle of the tape roll adjustable. Perhaps a simple swivel and spring might make the tape angle automatically as pressure is applied so the speed someone moves along the bundle determines the tape angle.
3. Battery pack mount - use a standard tool battery rather than wires/cables
4. Adjustable bundle centering with springs - slide the bundle in and two or more U or V shaped shutters center it. A locking knob may be used to keep the opening stable, or strong springs.
5. Add a sensor to detect movement along the bundle (a rubber wheel on the shutter or bar would be enough) and set the motor speed according to that so a specific overlap or wraps/distance can be maintained regardless of user speed.
I was thinking a pair of gripper rollers on the leading side that open and spring shut to grab onto the cable or pipe, and some little knobs for entering feed rate per revolution (set it to half tape width for half overlap), so it pulls a cable through, or walks itself along a pipe, like a self-propelled lawnmower.
That must be the coolest tool / toy I ever seen!
I hate wrapping wires and cables!
Good job guys! Very awesome!
Angle the tape roll holder at 20-30° so it is smother when you're wrapping, nice idea.
I've been watching these guy's content for the last 6 years, and it keeps getting better.
Thank you for your good words and support! 👍🏻
At first I thought it was overkill for wrapping a bundle of wires then as I watched and thought how funny how many other uses this has that never occured to me, a deceptively brilliant build👍.
Overall, this is a highly informative and enjoyable video for anyone interested in engineering. It showcases your talent and expertise while providing valuable insights and inspiration to fellow enthusiasts. Keep up the great work, and I look forward to watching more of your content in the future 👍👍👍
Cool idea, but I would have added a support piece across of the tape roller that spins with it and supports the cable, so you don't have to hold it as tight. You already did something close to that with the extra bar that can be seen in some shots, but it's only really effective when the tape roller is in a specific position.
As a car enthusiasts and electrician, Damn I absolutely love this, I take my hat off to you brother, I would so Buy this if you offered to make & sell one. Thank you for sharing your talents with us❤
The Rube Goldberg of taping. The elephant in the room is taping by hand is actually faster.
yeah but look at it though.
I respect you very much. 100 mechanical engineers = 1 make it extreme
GREAT built. This is the kind of tool that you don't really need but once you have it you don't want to live without..
How did we ever build a civilisation without this marvel.....
I would like to see a Make It Extreme Crossbow! One that is self-loading, or one that is powerful enough to take down an Elephant. That would be sick!
It’s nice seeing the combination of Wazer and plasma cutter. They both have their strengths.
Your ideas and technical skills are the best.❤❤
that is awesome, you could add a second roll of tape on the opposite side and make it twice as fast or to combine colors for decoration
Beautifully overengineered tool, love it so much!
Very clever how you designed and made quite a complex mechanism around a second hand motor
nicely done 👍👍, 2 things i would have added, 1) tape lock, like grinder disc lock, 2) dc motor speed controller and use higher voltage, would help adjusting speed, now speed seems slow.

"Honey? Why are my car keys taped to coat rack?"
🤣😂
This channel is simply "Quality over Quantity" 🔥❤
Great job as always. Clever design with a lot of utility.
Great job. Mindblowing construction !
Greetings and best regards !😊
Aaaaaah Rage, the mother of all machining motivations.
Anyone who thinks this is too slow or an overkill has never wrapped cables for hours :D
Great build!
Well Done Bro👍👍👍
I'm glad you are back to building things again.
That’s pretty cool. Maybe you step up to variable speed motor much like a cordless drill just for speed during long wraps.
A benchtop mount with a foot pedal would be awesome!
So I e been watching for a while now and I think I finally have a valid question. Where do you get all these builds from? Do you look at old patients, did you do schooling to be an engineer? Some of this I can reason through and see but a lot of this I'm just like, how did he do the figuring to build this.
love the combat based usage at the end
More emotional than a movie! Crazy!
Is your tail stock on your lathe centered?
Just here for the music! 😂❤
No, really amazong video!!
Last seconds of video - that is a REAL cool Idea!
speed that motor up!!!!
You make the coolest stuff bud. This can be handy. The end was funny too lol
very impressive, well done, good Job, keep it up n more finding of easy methods.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ from Sri Lanka
This would be great for wrapping adhesive less self sticking silicone tape (used often in marine appications).
Best Machinest on RUclips.
Fantastic. Well done sir!
"I always wanted to be a wrapper!" "You mean a rapper?" "No!"
I like your mini laser cut brooo
Gotta paint it the customary Green and Black!! 🟩⬛ 🥰🤩
MAKE IT EXTREME THE BEST!!!
Took me a minute to figure out what the chain drive and second pinion are for. Doh
I would love to work in such an enterprise, how I love implementing innovative technology ideas!❤
Congratulations!!!! Wonderful project!!!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Man, I was about to say; "Just use Heatshrink" until I saw you wrap that pole with tape.
I need one of these.
N o w.
You should try to get a sponsorship from a company that makes a hand cleaner for mechanics. I can only imagine how much you go through! ;)
should have a variable speed trigger so you can go faster or slower if you want.
if its like very long wire yes if its just few feet no and more safe when you drop it from high ground how hard can a tape hit
Great for baseball bat grips and hockey sticks!
This one was very interesting.
The tool the world didn't know they needed!!!
you should totally sell the design for this to a power tool company. Electrician's around the world would love to have one of those bad boys in their armory of power tools.
Super clever tool as usual, great job!!!!
amazing, it seems that the tool has good torque too.
So much fun to use, You are going to need a tape sponsor now. 😂
I have an apprentice. She's cheaper (she works for ice cream & being allowed to stay up late when Mom's teaching an evening class). Also, she makes coffee (if threatened with a big enough stick). Only downside is her mother wants her to keep her nails clean. As Shop Foreman (AKA Dad) I find her a reasonable employee who can be relied upon to wrap tape around things.
Can it also rotate in the opposite direction? Could add another roll of duct tape for faster wrapping if the engine revs can't be accelerated.
Can you guys build a document shredding machine?
Good work and video as always. We shared this video on our homemade tools forum this week 😎
Good job mister beautifully done
Have you attempted to market this to Boeing, Tesla, Ford, any companies like that? For wire looms this would be such a time saver
*Awesome thanks for sharing* 😊
Thanks for watching!
Loving the doskpop!
This has been around for a long time. Stator bar tape machines are like this. Fun machines to build and maintain.
😉
Only one time i got spammed with emails and stuff. It was after downloading a software from a RUclipsrs sponsor!...
Yeah. Support the amazing creators, but stay away from the adverts.
Don't fall for damn ads
Great build. Pretty cool tool!
Thanks for sharing.
Congratulations on another well sussed out device!
Mpravo kopelia!!!
The ancient Egyptians would have loved one of those. Could you add a wheel that progresses the wrap along at a set pace?
Great work
I use Incogni on my shoes. I always like to be Incogni-Toe.
Fantastic - $2000 well spent (Labour, design and material) all for two cables
Could use these for wires instead of tape and build motors transformer and other things. Cool device
That's quite the machine. Thanks from Colorado.
That used to be called parcelling a line back in the days of sail.
This looks like a started motor, which is not designed to work for long periods of time (more than few seconds). This will surely brake if this is the case and used regularly.
This is almost the same machine used to wind copper wire around rings for circuit boards.
Very good job.
Those tiny custom machine precision welded chain things ~ 10:30 - 11:00 looks like a quality version of the cheep plastic part on my coffee grinder that's sloppily held together with epoxy...
Wish I had your tools man...
AND your skills, cuz my glue vs. your precision hand welding no contest.
..
& or anything mass produced was made right AND affordable nowadays..
I think it’s better if the electrical tape is stretched a bit when being applied, so I’d add a friction source to the tape spool.
Awesome little build there guys 👏👏👏. Love it 👉👉👉. 😎
Needs a laser line to show where the tape will go. Great work.
What an intro, and great build
Glad you like it!
