This is my tribute to the great Emitt Rhodes. I definitely felt even more of a connection to him as I holed up in my recording room and tried to recreate his music!
I referenced this interview with Emitt and Tape Op magazine to learn as much as a could about his recording process. A very worthy read: desertskiesmusic.com/EmittRho...

I am so glad you started making videos on RUclips again. I love all of your covers, going all the way back to your first ones. I want to be you when I grow up. Please keep them coming.
Wow, that’s a HUGE compliment coming from you! Thank you for the encouragement 🤩
Nice Job! Emmit was a BIG influence on my studio work,
This is absolutely brilliant. Thanks for sharing.
Fun watching a boy with his toys. Must be a labor of love. I love getting to see all the beautiful things on the walls. Amazing how much fidelity of the recording survives the transfers.
Brilliant!

Appreciate the kind words!
This sounds so so good and leaves me with a couple of questions: where did you find the interview where he lays out his process? And what microphones did you use for the drums if it’s ok to ask?
Thank you! The interview is from Tape Op magazine which is linked in the description.
