There are tons of on road SUVs available from both manufacturers, including better versions of Bronco and Wrangler, that are far superior for on road use. So the only reason to buy one of these is for best off road use and the Wrangler wins hands down.
@@boughtandpaidforautoreview1150 why would you buy one and never go off road? Your picture is a tundra that rides just as awful as my gladiator with none of the capability
Oh please.....most people who own Jeeps hardly see dirt let alone serious off road. Same will be said for new Bronco owners. Most are after the look....or to make a statement but most will never use the ability.

Great video guys. For me, I'd pick the Bronco. A lot because I think I'd fit better. I fit fine in a wrangler, but shoulder/upper arm rests against B pillar. I'd also get the 2.3L/Sasquatch, then go with 5-star tuning tuner.
I can lock my gladiator rubicon axles in 4hi and 2wd. It’s called a JL mini tazer. And my lockers engage very quickly. Sometimes they don’t want to let go, but that’s cause they are bound up.
At 7:20 you say that you cannot lock up the rear except in 4-lo. That's not true in 2021+ rubicons. In off-road+ mode, you can lock up the rear after you've turned off stability control.
Please tell me who waits until they are on an obstacle to disconnect the sway bar. People if you have never been off road hit the button at the start of the trail or get rock jock and never worry about it again 😁
i’m heading back to the states in about a month and a few days. And I need to get a vehicle. I’m considering the 392 XR and the bronco raptor. I like both off road capabilities. I'm starting to realize the 4.5 sec 0-60 and the sound of the v8 doesn't really interest me. I think I'm leaning towards the Bronco for the technology and comfort. If I have to get the 392 XR with the one touch roof, I could live with that choice too.
I love how the bronco allows the sasquatch package on lower trim models, which is amazing. the base model wouldn't configure with the manual with the sasquatch package, but that would be cool. there's probably a way to configure it like that, I just didn't see.
The Mansquatch it's supposed to be available in 22', when approximately no one knows, but they say they're supposed to put the manual would be Sasquatch package, that's what I'm waiting for as well.
I live in a very high cost of living state, and surprisingly, I have not yet seen the off-road (top of the line) version of the Bronco on the road. I did see what I guess is the base model, and it looked very cheap. I have no doubt of the off-road chops of the top of the line model, however, I do not trust the quality of American nameplate vehicles, and damn sure not at $60, $70, and $80,000. 'Back in the day', 48 month auto loans were the norm. Now, I see advertisements for 84 month auto loans. I wonder what percentage of owners are able to afford these vehicles within 4 years or less? That 392 Rubicon does sound great!
The price alone would lead me to buy the Bronco. V-8 power is not that important to most people who want off-road capability, and the Bronco sure delivers.
I still don't understand why you always say that the Wrangler wanders on the road. I drive one and don't find that they require any more input than other vehicles.
I've driven both, they both drove fine for me. I just hate the Jeep pricing and available equipment models. Value for money just isn't there for me, which sucks because I love jeeps. If jeep were to offer a lower trim model with a rear locker I'd be happy to buy one, but they don't.

Considering that not many Broncos have been delivered, this is concerning. No thanks. I’ll take the Jeep. It might not be the flavor of the week, but it gets the job done, does it well and is proven.
Time will tell with the Bronco - you're right. As for us - we can only offer a opinion based on a short drive - not very scientific but its all we were allowed.
Love the JEEP! Used to have a Ford truck which is why I'm a "never another Ford" guy. It's Dodge and Jeep all the way. I love the way the Jeep went through the offset ruts with all 4 wheels on the ground while the Bronco had a wheel in the air all through them. I would definitively stick with JEEP. Good video!

Yah couldn’t give and a ram truck with there junk transmissions or the jeep the breaks all the time on trails or the way they wonder all over the road . Just my opinion.
I test drive a bronco and it handled very nice on road. I can get 95 percent of what a Jeep can get me off road and much more on road comfort . Interior is way left crowded feeling also. I'll probably order a badlands sasquatch in the next month or two with the V6.
Yes, but most people never actually leave pavement in their offroad toys, so most will never have any sort of a clue what having solid axles does for a vehicle's offroad capability.
@@wildbill23c very true! I just said the better articulation is the result of the Solid front axle. I know most people rather have the on-road comfort rather than having a slightly better off-road car.
One more slight advantage to IFS you never hear about is in snow. They usually have more clearance in front so you can usually back up in deep snow. With the solid axle in front it acts like a plow and in stiff snow will stop you pretty quick and if you were going too fast you're stuck and can't back out. It a small advantage for the Bronco but since they're so close, that's what ends up making the difference. In the end, they both have more than enough capability off-road that anybody can need so the big difference is on road and the Bronco is a clear winner there.
LOL "They both have more capability than anyone can need" I guess that's why there's no multi billion dollar industry where people spend $$ to make their 4x4s more capable right? What kind of logic are you using bud?
@@Ihateironyanddumbusernames I guess the same logic that thought this clip was comparing vehicles produced by a major manufacturer. I also realize there are side by sides and atvs in case you didn't know.
I'm new to off roading and trying to understand what you mean by locking the rear and front differentials? What does it do and why would you want to do it? Sorry, I'm a newbie.
Everyone was new once, its Okay. Locking the differentials pushes power to each wheel equally. Without it the power goes to the wheel with the least traction - not what you want in a slippery situation
I am interested in off-roading, but need a vehicle as a daily driver as well weekend adventurer. I've already got a Bronco on order. The type of off-roading that would really challenge the Bronco is probably not in my future, so there was no need to sacrifice the on-road handling and comfort or safety features of the Bronco for capability I'd never use.
Coming from a generation where V8s were the standard in off-road vehicles, I have always hated the Jeep Wrangler didn't come with option in my JKU. I wasn't going to invest in a swap and I know it is highly unlikely that Ford will ever put a V8 in the Bronco (even the Raptor), so I have turned my focus about off-road capability. Anything built right, will conquer just about anything you throw at it. Just go take a look at LiteBrites channel and how impressive the Bronco did against a $100K built Jeep. ruclips.net/video/L7aaRpT4HVY/видео.html&ab_channel=LiteBrite
So Jeep threw a 392 in it jacked the price up 25k. Still the same thing just a big motor. Our 18 rubicon is beautiful but floats around more than a 70s caddy. The electronics are a constant issue. I’m trying everything I can to get her to trade out of it. The wrangler might be a little better off road but the bronco will conquer 98% of what wrangler will. I just love the look at coolness factor of the Jeep but it ends there. It’s on road prowess is terrible load and on longer than a 45 minute drive just becomes not fun. Just my opinion. Give me the bronco
I love seeing these off road trucks strut their stuff but I would like to see even a new work truck with 4wd out there with them to see the difference. I would bet a 4wd work truck would make it through a lot of that.
The articulation is way better in the jeep and will always be better offroad then the ford. Also looks like it's better at navigating trails. Jeep for the win as I see it.
When I think about a vehicle I will take off road. I think about what can go wrong and how easily can I fix it. I am not a fan of a lot of electronic niceties off-road, I would much rather just have simplicity. As far as on road that is a different story.
They’re both amazing vehicles; choosing between the two is certainly tough but the vast majority of my drive time is on road so for me personally the Bronco wins! I don’t need or want the soft top or modular hardtop; I wish there was a luxury version of the Bronco that kinda competes with the Defender and the G Wagon and with a hardtop and panoramic moon roof.😎

@@jeffforbes70 God that's the truth the seats are so awful. Feels like my legs are tilting downward while sitting extremely flat.
The swaybar disconect on the jeep Wrangler can be engadged on bumps, its capible, but the software doesnt allow it, if you get a jeep Tazer you can make it unlock anytime you want
if your really going to be honest, these two vehicles are heavily biased for OFF road and if your not interested in best off road capability you wouldn't buy either. There are tons of on road SUVs available from both manufacturers, including better versions of Bronco and Wrangler, that are far superior for on road use. So the only reason to buy one of these is for best off road use and the Wrangler wins hands down.
Too bad the wrangler is so terrible on road that I won’t be keeping mine long enough to know it’s off road capability.
But who would really pay 100,000 dollars for a jeep the most unreliable vehicle.
Let’s be honest if you wanted a real off-roader buy a razor or x3.
Do you know if either of these will come to Australia I love a bronco
I bought a two-door Big Bend with Sasquatch and the V6 that was my choice
I think Stephen giggling with all the power in the Jeep said it all. That thing sounds bad *ss coming through the woods. Both seem like great choices though. Again we the consumers win with more great vehicles to pick from.
Very good drive comparison.
Nice overview with the limited time you had. Fair net/net takeaway at the end. For me it's a Jeep all day every day though. That 392 and not having to worry about first year production issues, easy decision.
Fantastic job boys!!
Thanks so much!
Great video guys. For me, I'd pick the Bronco. A lot because I think I'd fit better. I fit fine in a wrangler, but shoulder/upper arm rests against B pillar. I'd also get the 2.3L/Sasquatch, then go with 5-star tuning tuner.
Great video - you will have to do it again when the “Raptor” Bronco comes out…
Can you compare the Hummer Ev and the Cybertruck once they come out?? Maybe throw the Rivian in there??
Hello, how much more internal space does the bronco have over the jeep? Is the bronco closer to driving a f150 cab space wise?
That bronco is 🔥🔥🔥
i’m heading back to the states in about a month and a few days.
Great video again, once again proving your the best!
Most of the people commenting have never driven a new JL Wrangler or a new Bronco…
I've driven both, they both drove fine for me. I just hate the Jeep pricing and available equipment models. Value for money just isn't there for me, which sucks because I love jeeps. If jeep were to offer a lower trim model with a rear locker I'd be happy to buy one, but they don't.
@@williamreinhardt2774 I get it. I bought a 2Dr fully loaded Rubicon with the 3.6L E-torque and 8-speed. It’s seriously amazing. It’s quick and getting 21-22 mpg.
@@DUNEATV Woof, good way to spend some serious coin haha. I hope you enjoy it!
@@williamreinhardt2774 Yes, I got it in January with $5 grand off MSRP. Now it’s worth about $10 grand more than I paid! Crazy
@@DUNEATV That is crazy, but also awesome for you, congrats!
so why do you want your axles locked while doing 40mph?
Any word on when the 392 will be on sale in Canada
Waiting to see what they can do with the Bronco Raptor on 37's.
I always watch your videos. I usually trust your recommendations but not sure what to make of this one. You recommend a Bronco which, for all intents and purposes is impossible to get and, if you do, you have to deal with endless production issues, insane dealer markups and play all sorts of games.
There are starting to appear dozens of photos online of Broncos with broken front ends. Apparently that IFS cannot withstand many modifications.
Man the new Bronco is beautiful
To be able to put a Shelby GT 500 v8 in a bronco that would be some awesome 😎 👏🏿 fun for sure
I would love to have either one but you do drive them on the road a lot more.
Good video!
You mean Fiat all the way!
Get a Toyota, then you'll be a never another Dodge/Jeep/Fiat, Ford or GMC guy.
@@AnAbortiveRomance You just pay more for parts buying Toyota...my 2008 Tundra was my first and last new Toyota....their quality has gone way down in the past couple decades, was far from impressed with the problems the Tundra had as Toyota is trying to push it to compete with 3/4 ton trucks and can't even hold up to very light 1/4 ton and 1/2 ton duties.
Yah couldn’t give and a ram truck with there junk transmissions or the jeep the breaks all the time on trails or the way they wonder all over the road . Just my opinion.
@@nycmaverick Stellantis, they french/dutch now
I test drive a bronco and it handled very nice on road. I can get 95 percent of what a Jeep can get me off road and much more on road comfort . Interior is way left crowded feeling also. I'll probably order a badlands sasquatch in the next month or two with the V6.
wrangler's better articulation is because of the solid front axle
LOL "They both have more capability than anyone can need"
I guess that's why there's no multi billion dollar industry where people spend $$ to make their 4x4s more capable right?
@@TruckKing thank you for responding. I assume 4 high and 4 low just depends on the speed you want to travel at?
I am interested in off-roading, but need a vehicle as a daily driver as well weekend adventurer. I've already got a Bronco on order. The type of off-roading that would really challenge the Bronco is probably not in my future, so there was no need to sacrifice the on-road handling and comfort or safety features of the Bronco for capability I'd never use.
Is that a closed course next to the track?
yes
That Bronco is not stock either and is probably getting close to $80k itself. But yes it did do well.
If the 392 could be had in a 2-door with a manual, I’d live in a tent to own it. Because that’s not an option, I’m getting a manual 2-door Bronco.
You don't have to switch to 4-lo to lock the rear. Just put it in 4h hit the off-road+ and lock the rear
Don’t forget about the Bronco has more room for us big boys.
there are seat extensions but if your over 6,1 you have the sport bar to deal with
@@jeffforbes70 I’m 6’3” 290 and I’m very comfortable in the Bronco.
@@BigWheelFab 6'1 265. can make jeep work. but barely.maybe in 2022 we will see some on dealer lots
How about high speed Baja off-roading? Does Bronco win that?
I have a 2014 and I can take my hands off the wheel an it tracks straight as an arrow I don’t understand the wandering thing
I can’t comment on performance on either since I drove neither, but wow as far as appearance goes that Bronco just blows Jeep out the door.
100k for a jeep?I paid the same for my house lol.Prices are getting ridiculous, the average person cannot afford these
Hey its Westin Chaplin.... how ya doing bro ?
So Jeep threw a 392 in it jacked the price up 25k. Still the same thing just a big motor. Our 18 rubicon is beautiful but floats around more than a 70s caddy. The electronics are a constant issue. I’m trying everything I can to get her to trade out of it. The wrangler might be a little better off road but the bronco will conquer 98% of what wrangler will. I just love the look at coolness factor of the Jeep but it ends there. It’s on road prowess is terrible load and on longer than a 45 minute drive just becomes not fun. Just my opinion. Give me the bronco
Yep jeeps never were much for reliability....and I got that from jeep owners.
Wrangler is not better off road that is just a myth.
As nice as the Hemi is, I’m not sure it’s worth $20,000 more then the Bronco.
Apples to oranges this video compares
@Rick people like you believe anything they read lol
@Rick Stelantis and VAG are not the same only thing they have in common are they are European.
@Rick I don't know where your getting your facts from, but no there are not the same company!
Just purchased a wrangler. Good price too. Can't get a bronco under 40K. I paid 41for my Wrangler sport
Nice 👍
I love seeing these off road trucks strut their stuff but I would like to see even a new work truck with 4wd out there with them to see the difference. I would bet a 4wd work truck would make it through a lot of that.
I agree with everything you both said.
The articulation is way better in the jeep and will always be better offroad then the ford. Also looks like it's better at navigating trails. Jeep for the win as I see it.
Already have a 4-door Jeep (JLU) & wouldn’t mind a 2-door Bronco to add to the garage if supply ever picks-up. No way I’m paying $5K+ over MSRP.
sadly I'll never wrangle the cash to a ford either. But you looked like you had a lot of fun :)
The jeep gladiator Mohave is what should of gotten the 6.4, to make it a genuine desert racer.
Price difference?
When I think about a vehicle I will take off road. I think about what can go wrong and how easily can I fix it. I am not a fan of a lot of electronic niceties off-road, I would much rather just have simplicity. As far as on road that is a different story.
The bronco is a great road vehical. Were most will stay. But if you really want to do offroading.....get a Rubicon!
I am gonna dig the JEEP anyday and everyday ❤️❣️
