Hi lovely, I’ve just given birth a few weeks ago (my first too!) so from experience here’s some tips, take what you will from this: - don’t need to take the elvie collection cups, they’re great I used them but not for atleast a week post birth when milk properly comes in - I wouldn’t take any long sleeved vests, it’s very very very warm in the hospital for the babies, I took 3 vests in newborn and 3 in up to 1 month and same quantity for sleepsuits 3 newborn 3 up to 1 month. - You won’t need half as many pads for yourself as you’ve packed there and I’d also just take like 3-4 breast pads if that, I didn’t use any and I took the whole box, milk takes 3-4 days to come in. - I wouldn’t take the breast pump with you, if planning on breastfeeding it’s recommended to express colostrum and that’s what you will feed baby via syringe or they will take from the breast the first few days, I exclusively breast pump as my baby had a tongue tie so we couldn’t directly breast feed and I didn’t start with my pump till around 2-3 days post birth, I hand expressed colostrum the first day. Just some tips, I massively over packed as it’s all so new & exciting but when going home I was thinking why did I bring so much stuff 😅 Enjoy every moment you and Dan and you special girl when she arrives 💘 xx
recently discovered you from tiktok and been watching your vlogs and honestly you are so comforting to watch and they are so real and genuinely nice to just put on whilst i’m tidying and stuff, hope you have a good birth experience so excited for baby! ❤
Hiya Mia not long now your all packed up now ready for you and baby girl all you need to do is sit back relax as you are going to feel over overwhelmed once baby girl is here and anxious as its your first baby enjoy every moment it's precious she is going to be 1 lucky little girl Your,s and Dan,s world. just take each day as it come,s. Awwwwwwww and seeing you when you saw the spider made me jump but wow you still carried on thank you you takecare well it won't be long now whoooooop. X x x ❤❤❤ x xX
Enjoyed this video :) I am due a week after you. Don’t forget cotton wool as that’s preferred to clean baby with rather than water wipes. You also won’t need two packs of wipes, 1 is enough. I was told also to try and keep nappies in their packaging as they can go hard. I am taking just 3 muslins. You also probably won’t need nappy cream for baby as newborn. You also don’t need to put your baby in a hat - obviously your choice but worth reading up on it. I would put her first outfit in a separate bag as they will likely ask Dan to dress baby - just to make it easy for him haha. Don’t forget your colostrum if you are collecting it. I went on a really good antenatal course so these are just tips I learnt from that xx
Awww I’m so excited for you both it’s getting nearer new beginnings ahead as a family of 3 I thought you might go into labour after the spider scare that scream haha you do what’s best for you in packing your hospital bag it’s peace of mind knowing you’ve got everything with you take care xx
Hi, I am due on the 29th August and we’ve been told to take a travel changing mat by friends who have just had a baby. They said it got awkward asking for the babies sheets to be changed several times a day so found it easier with the mat
Such exciting times! Feels like yesterday I was doing the same. Just had my third & final baby six months ago. 🥰 p.s. GET THE NIPPLE CREAM, it doubles up as a lip balm, your lips get really dry if you have gas&air x
hospital also provide you with pads if you need them i would just take one of the cooling pad things you have and all the washing stuff for the minge as you only want to use water incase you get stitches as it will sting even oif you dont get stitches it still stings so i woildnt bother x x
Lip balm is a must for you and take cardigans for baby as may need if they are finding it hard to raise baby temperature after birth. Also I would definitely pack more sleep suits and vests. Good luck with birth, love watching your videos ❤ xx
Hey beaut! Just wanted to say that they don’t recommend the water wipes on babies as it causes skin irritation and they don’t like you to use any creams on their bottom in the first few weeks. I just wanted to give you a heads up, as I was told this by my midwife! Good luck and I can’t for the baby vlogs xx
Laughed out loud at the spider 🕷️ 😂 It’s difficult to know how much stuff to take in to hospital. Why not take enough for 2 days and leave the rest at home for Dan to bring in if you need to stay longer x
For your bag packing I remember having really dry lips because the maternity ward is so warm so a lip balm is good, and an empty carrier bag for really dirty undies you dont want to put in with your other clothes.
A big case would be so much handier, hows poor Dan going to carry all the bags.. im sure jodi would lend you one, so looking forward to seeing baby girl, and wish you a lovely special safe delivery xx
You can use hospital’s tens machine💞 I did on the antenatal ward and took it down to the delivery suite and the midwives returned it back up to the ward for me post birth. They have a few available Xx
You can tell your motherly instinct is kicking in Mia by the way that you are so organised bless you and a little tip on your birthing plan ( after having four sons , my eldest is now 28 years old ! ) believe me it goes Straight out of the window as all you care about is for the pain to go away and I can't stress this enough btw so as soon as you arrive at the hospital then Please ask the midwife who's looking after you to book an Epidural ASAP 😅 and Dan will Love you forever afterwards hun ! ... And Obviously good Luck 🤞 but I hope you really don't it Sweetie 🍬 Xxx
Comments like this are slightly irritating. Me and Mia will be having our bubbas around the same time and having a rough birthing plan or what we want is comfort. If people want to go down the natural route or trying with as little pain relief as poss etc then please just let them without commenting saying how much pain we will be in etc etc. every birth is different you might have needed that and your plan didn’t happen nothing today others won’t. Just be mindful of comments like this xx
@@AmyCoombes you go girlie!!!! I had 3 boys many years ago and had no pain relief.....it's obviously a very personal thing but shouldn't be shoved down your throat and scaremongering is far from helpful. I wish you and Mia a positive, safe delivery xx
Absolutely love. Where is your cardigan from?❤ wish I had time to use my hospital bag it was so quick I didn’t even have time to grab it to take with me🤣🤣 she is going to be beautiful 🩷🩷
Hello my lovely I’m so excited for you both. I would pack some scratch mites for baby girls xx I look every morning to see if you have gone into labour I have 4 girls best feeling ever you both are going to fantastic parents I wish you all the best all the best ❤xx omg you make me laugh 😂with the spider xxx
after having 3 kids a suit case for you and baby is much better as you can just open them and its all there to see so dad can find what he needs for you

I have 3 kids and each and every one a different birth and my first child I went above and beyond all designer why not. Each to their own I say and your baby why not only jel I say. Ignore your smashing it ❤ do what you want and pack as much xxx
It doesn’t really affect you what I take in my hospital bag does it? I’d rather have too much than not enough so don’t worry about things that don’t concern you!
Good luck Mia , you're well organised better safe and have to much than to little , I'd probably get the nipple cream I believe the nips can get sore , I'm so excited my granddaughter is due the begining of Sept also xxx❤
Your milk won’t come in for about four days so no need for breast pads 🤔Also, I don’t think you’ll need as many pads as you’ve packed. You must not use any products on your “bits” just water 😊The post labour ward will be HOT so no long sleeved vests needed for baby. A lip balm is a good idea for labour, you’ll be hot and will probably wear a hospital gown then get changed after the birth 😬 I also recommend taking a pillow, you normally only have one flat one on your bed and don’t forget a dressing gown! Best of luck honey x
I would pack some nipple cream and if you can get some silverette cups they are a lifesaver for sore or cracked nipples. Saved my bf journey. Good luck xx
Honey just a suggestion for you, to save on space maybe fold the clothes flat, as rolling them makes them very bulky. Cannot believe you are 37 weeks 😯 You will soon be holding your previous baby daughter in your arms
your gonna throw those lable bag away there gonna drive you mad but with t this being your first time sometimes you have to learn for the next time what you will and wont need but you definatly have to much i personally thing but like i say you need to learn your self but you wont use half of the stuff you have and ideally they say 9 nappys a day, scrap the nipple shield just use some nipple cream leave out the pumps if you can breast feed and she takes well you wont need them as she will get what she need from you with out the pumps milk doesnt come till later so she will take the goodness she needs, i exclusivley breast fed all 3 of mine if she takes to the breast straight away you shouldnt have any problems and if you do there always specialist at the hospital that will help you with and concerns and show you how to do it xxx
