Carol Magee Wow I just ordered the instant vortex pro because it had a toast feature I didn’t want it either if it didn’t toast. something has to go out when I bring something in. This will let me get rid of toaster rotisserie and air fryer.
Oh NO! Another new kitchen gadget that we cooks are going to want. I really wanted to get and try the Instant Pot but have been trying to hold off. Now It's going to be a toss up as to which one I will buy. I shall keep watching.. thanks.
HI Sandra. Don't know your time frame of when you might purchase an Ipot but today Walmart & others have the 6qt Duo on sale from $99...to $49 today. Free shipping. No next day delivery right now but they say just one day delivery. Amazon has special sales ending today as well for certain Instant pots. I tried to paste in link here for those interested to see... for some reason it hasn't worked. Might be enjoyable to look at them anyway. Good luck. :)
Got some frozen oysters, sprayed with my fav butter flavored oil and sprinkled w/paprika for more color then into the machine @ 350 finishing at 400 for 4 min for the breading. Very good.
Jelly007, do you get that burnt plastic order other users of the Instant Vortex report? If so, is the scent still there or has it stopped smelling- since you have used the device on many occasions?
Thank you for this video! I also have the Breville smart oven air but we are embarking on a long RV trip and sadly, the 40 pound Breville is just too big of a machine to take with us. I think this might be the perfect machine to replace my toaster, air fryer and also to oven roast veggies. We do have a propane oven in our rig but I’d like to have the convenience of an electric appliance. It’s a toss up between this model and the gowise version. The only advantage I see to the gowise is that the baskets are stainless instead of nonstick coated.
Jelly007 hey kind sir and Happy Sunday!!! Quick question on the Vortex Plus. I got a whole chicken that is 4.31 lbs. Do u think that is too much weight for the spit and rotisserie function?
The weight is fine as long as you center the chicken on the spit and tie it if possible... make sure it doesn't contact top or bottom of oven which will strip the drive gears... hope this helps and thanks for watching!!
@@JohnSanders Thanks big guy. I got the butcher twine and some avocado oil and I am going to Rotisserie chicken in Jerk Seasoning and Man I am excited!!!
I am curious to know how long it takes to get hot on the broil function. Don't know about you guys, but when I am toasting up things in the morning before school for my kids, I want things to be quick and easy. I can toss 4 pieces of toast or 4 waffles into our toaster oven, press toast, and come back to it in about 3-4 min to find things cooked. Is this about comparable time wise, and can I add more bread to the racks as needed?
That is a good question, I'm not sure about toasting or anything when it is in the preheat mode...I think in a normal oven it turns everything to wide open until temp is reached but I'm honestly not sure in the vortex, someone commented on toast earlier, maybe they or someone else will respond... thank you for watching !!!
Another good video John. Just wanted to suggest you put a link in where you bought this unit, Amazon maybe? Also, have you thought about making an intro video for your brand? I'll send you an example in a few minutes. Great job buddy!
I think the vortex is exclusive to Wal-Mart and I would love to see the example...I have kicked the idea around but haven't done anything...thanks for watching!!
I would say the Ninja oven but it depends on what you need...I also like a couple of the smaller stands alone air fryers I have...thanks for watching!!!
Mainly two reasons...one, I like it for its high smoke point and the other is because it seems to impart very little flavor on the food and the flavor it does leave behind is not bad...I started using it in the beginning with my sous vide steaks for searing them on and it kinda carried over into the kitchen as my main oil now...Thank you for watching!!
The dehydrator function is for more then just beef jerky. You can dehydrate fresh fruit and veggies too. Think banana, apple, kiwi chips. Fantastic stuff btw and WAY cheaper then by those bags from the store.
I actually have a video showing various temps around the unit that I have linked below...hope this helps and thanks for watching! ruclips.net/video/ug2kHjT6K0Q/видео.html
Thank you for posting this video. The asparagus looks delicious and I wouldn't have known that you could make toast in it without your video. Just order one from Walmart. What type of gloves do you use to handle the hot trays? They look pretty good.
Those are cuisinart gloves or mini mitts I guess you would call them and yes they work very well and I use them quite often...thank you for watching!!!
@@JohnSanders Thanks John, I am definitely going to get me some of those gloves. Thanks for you videos. I just ordered a Vortex for my Dad as well. He's in his eighties and I think your video will make it easy for him to use.
Ever been in charge of the toaster? Well relax! Vortex Toast is 'I kid you not' easy. You can squish in 6 slices French Bread on ea shelf for a dozen at a time! Now go crazy, spray w/flavored oils, aromatic or sweet and toast away! Amazingly simple accompaniment for your entree (sliced thick & aromatic) or deserts (sliced thin with sweets).
It was absolutely excellent... that is why I said I ate the entire plate... by the way I've done it again since then and it was just as good!!! Thanks for watching!!!
Good day Double O....This is just perfect..it's going to be a lovely addition to almost any meal I make so thank you for the step by step :) Now...if I wanted to make a grilled cheeze...would I butter the tops...fill with cheeze and do the same placement and time(pretty much) as done here with asparagus? Just throwing it out there? Thank you for telling us you'd be coming back on occasion to do something in the VORTEX.. and as always all FOODI recipes are keepers and look forward to each and every one! Great review.
Not sure about a grilled cheese but I agree it has some good uses for a lot of situations...plus it does look good on the counter..and I do plan to get back to my foodi for awhile...as always...Thank you for watching Vita Z
Place cheese between bread slices and butter the outside of both slices of bread. Place in air fryer and cook at 370 degrees for 8 minutes. Flip, halfway through. Your mileage may vary but that's what I do in my air fryer. All of these machines are virtually mini convection ovens, some with more bells and whistles then others.
I just did exactly what you said and my bagel turned out absolutely perfect!! Thank you so much for sharing! ☺️
That is great... glad i helped and thank you for watching!!!
Thanks for adding the toast in your video! If it can’t toast I don’t want it either lol!
Your welcome and I thought it was a pretty important function...Thank you for watching!!!

I didn't have a problem with that on this one but I gave that one to a niece and nephew...
Can I use ceramic plates or oven-safe plates on this? Is it safe with the oven function?

Hi Jellly, what's your favorite air fryer? I have watched a lot of fryers and could really use your help in deciding.
I would say the Ninja oven but it depends on what you need...I also like a couple of the smaller stands alone air fryers I have...thanks for watching!!!
Have tried rotisserie/air fry a whole fish? Son like chicken but need know if fish is any good in in it.
Did your instant oven come with a book? Mine didnt :(
Hey Mr. Jelly. I know you have been an advocate for using avocado oil. Can you share your thoughts on why this is your preferred oil of choice?
Mainly two reasons...one, I like it for its high smoke point and the other is because it seems to impart very little flavor on the food and the flavor it does leave behind is not bad...I started using it in the beginning with my sous vide steaks for searing them on and it kinda carried over into the kitchen as my main oil now...Thank you for watching!!
It drives me crazy that they didn’t bother to create a toast setting. I toast every day and won’t ever dehydrate beef!
I was a little shocked too...thanks for watching!!!

I agree!!!
I have one of these due to be delivered tomorrow. I can’t find anywhere that says if it is safe to put on a granite countertop. Do you know?

Challenge the Vortex 1500 Watt against the Bella Pro Series 10.5 qt Air Fryer 1650 Watt and with Bottom Burners for $99 at Best Buy.
I do not currently have one of those but it looks like a good unit...thanks for watching!!!
The Vortex Instant Pot Air Fryer Oven looks like a nice to have cooking item....but sadly will not get one due to lack of countertop space.
It doesn't use as much as many others but I understand... countertop space is some valuable real estate...thanks for watching!!
John, better clean off the counters. ninja foodi is bringing out a grill and toaster and much more a food too i believe as well. wow
Yep..I saw that and I want at least one of each..lol

Can I cook a turkey breast in this ?

Probably not but if you purchase this to replace your toasters spot on the counter I thought people might need to know...thanks for watching!
That's a real good idea!!! Thanks and thanks for watching!!!
