Great video but everything was fantastic I would left off the slaps until the chords and melody was learned the slaps kinda threw me off but they definitely sounded good but not for both together

I would recommend Marco Cirillo for River Flows in You, he has 2 tutorials out, one for intermidiate and one for more advanced players. They both sound amazing!

I don't know if this is something everyone knows, but I realized that you could get the original key by putting capo on 5th fret and doing the same thing in standard tuning but higher up on the neck. Just thought it might help, sounds better in original key in my opinion :)

I barely play the guitar, as i am very busy most days to learn new songs, so i just play the ones i already know and make up my own sometimes, but i must say, i watch every video you post just because of the quality of your tutorials and how interesting it is to see you play it. that a mystery for me as well wtf
it's difficult to explain but personally I use my middle finger to pick by putting it at a right angle and I hit my guitar on the low strings with my thumb and I do a little rotation so that the string sounds. it's difficult but with a little practice I got there you just have to try until you get the same sound as him
It's percussive slap technique, there's a lot of tutorials about it
There's a tutorial by a youtuber called Ben Wright (I think) on this technique, really helped me out.
I kind of slapping and strumming the required strings with my index and middle finger but make sure your palm doesnt mute the strings
