Her songs are so passionate because she is performing her life in front of you. All her problems and issues come through her music. I think thats why they are so powerful. Take care of yourself Beth. We all need to hear your music genius.
Everybody knows and like her she was on stage with all the stars and almost everybody was in her concert but nobody has given her the suppppportttt for one hit single, its a big big shame for all who like goooood music
How does an artist turn pain into incredible beauty? Very few people can do it, but Beth knows how. Her soul cries out! This isn't just a song; it's a spiritual experience. My tears flow as I feel her pain and its expressive beauty. This is pure genius!
Audio: You can write! And you put that as well as it can possibly be put. Your comment is pure genius, as is Beth's voice, playing, and lyrics. I shall add not another word-but this: Thank You!
@@lillybloom1590 Thank you, lilly, you are so kind. I'd recommend thanking Beth, because her art in this song moved me to write those words. I'm glad that you enjoyed my comments. Take care and be safe, sister! 👍💖🎸😎
@@audiophileman7047 Hey, Audio! Not many musical geniuses come along in a lifetime. There were some beautiful voices before and after Janis-but she was the only female musical genius until Alanis, Beth, and Tori came along. And we’re blessed to have them. Yet, because of her vast talent span, I would have to put Beth at the top of those three, mainly because Tori kind of faded at the end. Alanis probably has the prettiest voice of the three. But Beth simply gets stronger and better and more wide-ranging the longer she’s around-and her passion, like Janis’, never slackens. However, they’re all three something else to listen to. Be well! Glad you recognize and enjoy great music. Who else you have on your list?
@@lillybloom1590 Hi lilly, it sounds like you're a woman of the '90's with Alanis and Tori, but I wouldn't put you in a box or limit you. If you love Janis, one of my absolute faves, then you understand what makes truly great music. Beth's magic has so much to do with her beautiful mind. It's not a brain like ours. She has a kind of sensibility, experience, and awareness that we don't quite know, but her ability to express emotion and suffering is so good that you just can't help stopping and listening. She sings to you like you're a friend or a family member. I don't know of anyone quite like her. She's simply an outstanding artist. I saw her live once, and it was an unforgettable experience. I would love to see her again. There were some other notable female singers in the past. I think of the many jazz, blues, soul, and R&B singers. There were rock singers like Grace Slick (Jefferson Airplane), Sandy Denny (Fairport Convention), Deborah Harry (Blondie), Pat Benatar, and the wonderful Ann Wilson of Heart. I like music from classical to metal with few exceptions. I get just as much of a charge listening to Mozart as I do Black Sabbath. I'm a particular fan of the blues and blues based rock. Beth is a blues sister. I am a particular fan of Pink Floyd and The Doors, but there are so many bands and musical styles that move me. There's a whole new generation of American Roots music, blues, and blues rock artists coming up. Here are some that I'm following right now: Larkin Poe, The Tedeschi Trucks Band, Danielle Nicole, Christone Kingfish Ingram, Carolyn Wonderland, Rival Sons, Sue Foley, Joe Bonamassa, Mandolin Orange, and Beth Hart. I am particularly enamored with Larkin Poe right now. They are a sister duo out of Nashville with solid blues and blues rock songs with the lap steel guitar as a major part of their sound. I love their music!
Amazed again by the Music that comes out of this Woman...I dont think ive ever heard anything as...cant even find the words to describe how it feels when I see her perform this. ..Haunts me. I love you Beth.
Saw her in LA when she was second act to the headliner. She blew him and the crowd away with her vocals!! Been following her since. Why do those with this kind of talent not so much more period in the mainstream?? She sang to Buddy Guy at the Kennedy Honors and he could only shake his head in amazement at her voice. Love you Beth!!!
"Our pain becomes our passion," someone told me that once. I never really understood it until later in life. This is one of the most raw, vulnerable, honest, open and beautiful songs I have ever heard, I thought in one of the other videos that this was written before Sharon transitioned to her new life, free of pain. I just wondered if she heard it here. I know she hears it now. So very beautiful 💕
I met Beth 98’ in Seattle … open air benefit concert of about 50 people. I have seen her perform twice since and for the life of me cannot figure out why she isnt a superstar in the US. I am aware of her battles and aware that she tours mainly in Europe. I just think that she is an absolute GEM of a musician.
This woman is incredible> I love etta james -sarah vaughn- diana washington and many others, but this woman is number one in my book. She is off the charts

Yes, indeed, there's a little bit of JJ in BH, and that is a great compliment in itself. But she is unique. She does everything: She plays well, sings well, and can do a lot of things with her voice and in numerous genres. She is no doubt the best all-around singer/songwriter/entertainer I've ever seen. She doesn't sing polytonals as JJ did, and she doesn't have her passion. She doesn't try to have nor does she need a pure voice as Karen Carpenter had, but she is a package that neither of those angels could complete. Beth sings all over the place, and does it very well at each level. For the few of you who have never heard the purring beauty of KC's majestical voice: “Close to You,” Karen Carpenter, 1970 ruclips.net/video/oaOyoVS-IAI/видео.html JJ's passion overrode anything else she did, and she had the ability to innovate words and phrases on stage. Love this!!
Thank you for putting this up. Definitely one of my favorite Beth songs 👍
She combs her hair and cleans her face
Closes the door and kneels to pray
It don't matter that she's alone
Beast or dragons she's going home
If I lay me down
Bow my head unto the ground
Would you heal my skin
And these blisters within My skin
She found today
So hard to say
I sweat the sheets
Too tired to play
And it don't matter
Cause I'm still alive
Beast or Dragons
Won't make me hide
Make me hide, make me hide,
If I lay me down
Bow my head unto the ground
Would you heal my skin
And these blisters within, blisters within My skin
Another way
I just cant find the words to say
Cold where I lay
It's cold where I lay
Bones cracked to clay
A killer's in the way
And hot is my shame
Fire pulls my veins
For never is my name
Forever in my shame
Holy come heal me
Solely, delivery delivery
If I lay me down
Bow my head unto the ground
Would you heal my skin
And these blisters within
If I lay me down
Bow my head unto the ground
Would you heal my skin
And these blisters within, blisters within My skin
